Guy who was supposed to be watching the counter was out of sight, but not voice, in the office and was on the phone and said “there are two kids just looking” Hung up and came out, walked by me and the other gentleman to answer the work for phone. I am an adult and just wanted to buy an entry level shotgun and other gear for my son who just passed the Hunter safety course. I walked out in disgust. I can buy elsewhere.

We live these stores. They have hardware, outdoor furniture, sporting goods, camping, clothing, and so much more. We always find new and interesting things every time we go there.

We come here often but honestly the last 3 times seeing how awful the chicks are taken care of, we won't be back until something changes. All the chicks had pasty bums, some (at least 2 of the handful of chicks there) were raw and bleeding they'd pecked themselves so much. Others had LARGE clumps of hard poo stuck on their rears. All looked poorly cared for and not a single employee seemed to be taking care of them. This last visit there were only 2 left and both looked awful. Absolutely deplorable.

Back in November I was getting a new shotgun I had on layaway and an employee by the name of Brandon was helping me with it. When he got called to do something else I saw him just standing at the door entrance doing nothing and kept me waiting 30 to 45 minutes to get me started on the background check on the iPad and walked off again to do whatever he was doing when I finished paying and had to wait for him to walk me out of the store. If I ever do business there again I'll be sure to avoid receiving his particular service.

The two guys in the hunting department were very racist , making jokes and trying to be cool right in front of me and my boyfriend . No respect for their jobs or customers they are here to serve. If you aren’t able to control yourself don’t work in customer service .

This store is it period one stop shop the customer service here should be teaching all other retailers in vegas how to treat there customers I was greated, helped the whole time .I wandered around the store and every employee I mean every employee I came across said hi is there anything I can help you with with and ment it there clothing section is just amazing this place honestly could put walmart out of buisness real talk has a family home feel and everything your looking for feed for animals,clothes,tools,food,boots,hats,literally a one stop shop for country folk so happy this store is here in vegas the only problem I see is you will have to bring your wife to monitor your spending so you don't spend all of your money lol.godbless this store and all its employee's my new favorite store in vegas mike drop....

I use to enjoy this store for the variety of goods. I was disappointed on our recent visit. We’re looking for items for our RV. We couldn’t find prices on sturdy folding chairs, and something as simple as multi-packs AA batteries, amongst other things! We were near the weapons area and had to wait numerous times for a price scan in between customers. A good idea would be to have price scanners throughout the store, or better yet, make prices visible on all items.We left the store and headed to Bass Pro Shop. The difference is night and day. Didn’t matter which department, everything was priced and well-displayed. We were looking for several items for the RV and found everything we needed.

I had to walk around to look for an employee when I asked about a particular item. He seemed to not know what I was talking about and told me it was at compound (I don’t know what that is or where that’s located). So I ask another employee and said we don’t have the time that you’re looking (I did my research before I got to the store) so I go to the register she tells me they’re available & that they are at the compound area (at this point I’m tired of hearing compound) I pay for my items she doesn’t tell me where to go, so I called the store They tell me exactly where to go after waiting for five minutes two employees come to the compound area and they’re talking with that each other saying that we don’t have it out here. It’s inside the store so now they make me go around the store and make me wait for them to unload.This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had at this type of store. I knew there was a reason I had to stop shopping here.

The store on Jones in particular has some of the stuffiest, rudest staff I've ever personally experienced in retail. They're consistently short, dismissive and I'd even go so far as to say possibly or even likely racist, as myself and my lady are both minorities and have reported to each other after having gone in numerous times and treated with incivility and overall snobby behavior from Caucasian staff.While the quality of and range of items are quite decent the prices aren't that good as they definitely do their share of price gauging on popular items, esp ammo, chicken feed and dog food as well as other items than one can usually find affordable at rural feed stores.We used to enjoy to go in here with our kids every 2 weeks to get chicks and much more, now I loathe having to go for dog food -as the brand isn't carried in many other places in town.

They would not price match a fishing pole combo that they sold right in front of me to a different customer for $1.85 then wouldn't honor the price the sold it for it was in a bin out of the isle im assuming on clearance yet got asked full price so lame

Love this place. I rarely drop in but when I do I find a lot of stuff that I want and at some pretty good prices. The staff is friendly, awake and chill. Chris in firearms rocks. Store has a lot of random stuff you might not even know you wanted.

I like this store. Are they perfect? No, but overall the store has good employees that try to be helpful. I wish they had a better selection of clothes but that is probably a sign of the times. They are a great supporter of dog rescue, this to me makes them a store to be supported.

You can't trust their website at all. I like buy items online and pick them up from the store because I live in the northwest and it's a bit of a drive. So I want to make sure they have it in stock. I've been trying to purchase a certain handgun. I know this item is hard to get right now, but cal ranch has it priced fairly low. So last night the website stated that they have 11 in stock. So I bought it just to find out this morning that they don't have any via email. A couple of months ago the same thing happened but that time I got a confirmation that the item is ready for pick-up. So I drove over there, stood in line, just to find out that they don't have any. Make sure you call ahead before driving over there ( which you really shouldn't have to). I don't think I'm going to waste my time and fuel on this place anymore.

Well, to start off, I recently bought a weapon from this store and I noticed right off the bat that they are very competitive in pricing and have a decent selection of good hunting rifles. I was more impressed with the gentleman behind the counter. I believe his name is Evan. He was incredibly informative and showed me all sorts of things and helped me weigh the pros and cons of each. His knowledge about the guns and applications for different ones really helped me choose the right one. I got some other accessories and was very satisfied with my purchase. Will definitely Utley be back to spend more money. Preferably would like to deal with Evan again. Thanks a lot for the help!

If u like being HARASSED AND FOLLOWED AROUND THE WHOLE TIME WHILE YOUR SHOPPING AT CAL RANCH THE ONE LOCATED on North Jones Blvd in Las vegas nv THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE TO GO. The store is awesome but the EMPLOYEES HAVE ALREADY MADE UP THERE MINDS AND THINK THEY MUST BE STEALING OR TRYING TOO. Every aisle I went down not one but FOUR EMPLOYEES WOULD FOLLOW ME. AND ask me if I needed help repeatedly after I said no. What I can't look around and check out the store for the first time. AND WHEN I SAID SOMETHING TO ONE OF THE LADIES SHE TOLD ME "WHO CARES AND I COULD LEAVE IF I FEEL THAT WAY" EVEN THE MANAGER SAID TO LEAVE AS WELL. I was definitely being profiled as soon as I walked in. Smh CAL Ranch should teach there employees the difference between harassment and good costumer service. I've read reviews about this place and I see I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience walking into this place.

Originally I complained about the gun counter being impatient and/or snappy.I’ve purchased 2 guns and am a daily costumer for ammo and their unique sodas.I’ve noticed new employees behind the counter who seem willing to learn and very sincere.A complete reform from cal ranch so if their willing to put in the work, I’m willing to change my one star review.If I were to complain about anything else I’d be that I spend too much money at this store.

I went here for chicken feed and coop supplies.They had everything I needed at reasonable prices: crumble, scratch, oyster shell, grit, and pine shavings.The staff was friendly above measure Austin helped me in the parking lot before I even went into the store!I was struggling with three small children and they were patient and understood.Thank you for making my needed trip easy and pleasant. I will surely return.

When I first started going to this store I loved it but then the quality started to down grade fast. The customer service is bad. They treat you as if you are bother them. They also do not match their prices to the cal ranch website. There will be something on there priced 20 and in store it will be 50. When they are selling chicks they have no clue how to take care of them properly or have no information about them. To end this all they have a sign on the store saying its mandatory to wear masks but none of the employees wear masks.

I was a long time employee there and even walked out tonight because the new store manager was watching me all the way from sporting goods when I was asking Miguel about the chicks and corn shortage (I own multiple quail so I do get my feed there by preference because like I said I was a long time employee) I first went to the sporting goods counter to look at the stock and let her know I was just browsing and would call someone for help. She said that she was all good right there and just kept staring at me (never asked how my day was nor any sort of conversation was started. Just staring… Feeling uncomfortable I looked at a couple more things and headed towards the feed isles and engaged with Miguel. After about a minute or so he looked over to Sporting Goods and said she’s staring at us. I look over and wave. Yup, surely enough instead of waving and continuing on with her work, She’s planted on a safe STARING AT ME. I felt so uncomfortable I didn’t say bye to any of my old coworkers. I just walked straight out while informing Janet I was leaving because of how uncomfortable the manager was making me.

Just go elsewhere for firearms. Unless you're willing to drive out there just to see what they have. Tried calling multiple times just get put on hold for 5 minutes then they hang up on you. Also their websites inventory just says everything is in store and everything is out of stock. I understand that people are trying to get their hands on things right now. But there's no way their shelves are barren. Also zero customer service doesn't help. I'll just buy my good's from a local gun shop. Just hope they can order it in.

I am in at least once a week for chicken feed and I always have great service at the back of the store...not when I get up front it's different. The cashier is either really shy or doesn't speak English well since she isn't very friendly. But I wouldn't let that experience give them a poor rating. Still a great store with Unique items!

Gteat place, found a lot of great deals. Everythinf from pet feed, guns and ammunition, RV parts and supplies, a variety of differennt bokts, nuts, screws, and difficult to find hardware. Oh, and did i mention some geear low prices? Well there are. Name brand tools like Dewalt and even the ever increasingly popular Byrna self defense systems. Legal, non lethal "handgun" also called the "Ungun" as if fires small sandbag like projectiles and other bon lethal rounds. But look out, the look of this device is convincing enough to a would be assailant. Theres too much here to mention so go check the place out.
