Petco was nice. I had received a gift that the dog outfit was too big. I needed to exchange it for a smaller size. The gentleman was very polite and helped me show me where the outfit was and help me exchange. made immediately greeted me when I walked in. I’m By I’m looking forward to seeing them again.

great experience with jess; my family is having so much fun with the hamster my kids picked out. she was very helpful in finding accessories and bedding, etc and made the experience so easy. I love this location for a reason.

I love visiting Petco but lately it seems just too expensive..I wanted to get some cat scratcher refills and they don't seem to ever have them and offer a new one made of cardboard for $20 dollars!Just too much money for me. I hope that the live animals there find good homes..

I would leave zero stars if I could. This place is a complete joke. I called to schedule an appointment for my dog to get his nails clipped and a male employee answered and told me to just come in. I traveled 45 minutes to arrive at the store and was denied the service. The female employee at the grooming desk said she didn’t know what I was talking about as nobody there talked to me. I pulled out my phone and verified the call log with her. She still denied any service and said I needed an appointment. What a huge waste of time, with 3 kids in tow as well. The customer service was absolutely terrible and the store was filthy. I will NEVER return.

Clearly there was a mix up in appointments and although we were just seen yesterday, and we tired on the website to set up an appointment for the clinic there was nothing offered as far as any discount. The appointment clearly said clinic but when we got to the office we were told no clinic fees are being offered. An inconvenience and the office stuff was rude and they showed no empathy.

I just had a great experience shopping at Petco. I worked with Austin at the location on Green Valley. Kudos for his great fund of knowledge, patience with my questions, and overall excellent service. I've been in 4 different pet stores and locations recently and this was the best experience of them all by far. Worth the trip if you want fish, some advice on their care and compatibility. He was patient with my selection process, so I felt comfortable buying more fish.Additionally, Michael was helpful at checkout, friendly but not pushy about their service products. I had left one of my bags behind. He brought it out and found me in the parking lot.This wasn't a nice experience in a retail world that has been changing. Good job gentlemen.

Stitch is a very hyper little boy, his groomer Tyler, has a way with Stitch that keeps him calm enough to do what he needs to do when it comes to bathing but especially nail clipping, we love Tyler

I moved here recently and was hoping Petco would have the same service everywhere, unfortunately that’s not the case. The groomer that handled my dog, Jenna, cut my dog under his ear and didn’t tell me. Accidents happen, but to not let owners know is another thing. Not only that but it took 4 hours for my dog to be ready…I went to a busier Petco at my old city and it took 2 hours tops.

Nothing remarkable about this store. They sell fish, snakes, spiders, lizards, hermit crabs, ferrets, turtles, birds, hamsters, and Guinea pigs. I have seen rats and mice there previously. Also, there's a cat adoption display, but no cats inside. They seem short-handed, so it's hard to find help. I've also been asked to note that you can adopt a lot of these pets from a local shelter.

You know, I’m never one for bad reviews but I’m so upset about this one. I booked over a month ago to have my cat groomed today. Took off work, drove 30 min since no other locations took cats. I didn’t know they do cats & dogs in the same room? Well, my cat was scared to leave her carrier. She’s only 1 and it’s her first haircut. Of course she’s scared! So they didn’t even cut her hair. I’d assume somewhere that is supposed to be PROFESSIONAL would know they can scruff a cat to get them out, let her calm down then do the service. I offered to take her out myself and calm her down, they said ok. When I arrived they just said “yeah we can’t take her here’s a number for another groomer”As a salon owner personally I am appalled by the lack of professionalism this place has. Maybe they should have been more detailed when booking stating there will be no separate area for cats & you need to medicate them first.Basically, don’t bring your cat here.

I love this store! It is very well kept. I enjoy the aquatic section the most because I’m a fanatic. I was helped by Crystal which was amazing and helped me get everything thing I needed from asking me if I needed help to helping me get everything I wanted in bags then all cashed out. She was super knowledgeable and really friendly. I’d go back there any day!! I went on a different day ended up falling in love with a chameleon and was told up front everything I would need for her. The one employee was honest and very knowledgeable and professional.

Amanda G. in the grooming salon has cared for my Charlie for 5 years. I’ve taken him to many groomers before her, and she is hands down the best! The care and attention she gives, is like no other. Highly recommend.

Had everything i needed to start off my saltwater aquarium on the good note. Usually visit the location on s eastern but this one was closer. Everyone gives petco a bad rep but aquarium and aquatics in general is a expensive hobby and you need to know what you want in the end not depend on peto for a one size fits all answer. Come prepared with what your looking for only thing that has some issues is adjusting your new fish to your environment. Petco have a very laxed return policy for aquatics if your parameters are in proper care. I have only had one unfortunately pass due to stress but do not blame peto in any way cause it was very energetic when i chose it. But with price matching to their website, some hardy discounts of aquatic stuff, and friendly staff its been my go to for any maintaince chemicals needed.

pay $ 85.00 for such a ridiculous service, i left my number to call me when they were done and instead they called my wife and i was waiting for the call, about the grooming service say it's horrid, the cut is not the same there are longer parts and shorter parts, in addition the dog still had residual hair from the cut on him, a sign that it was not brushed well after finishing the grooming. we won't take Mimi or Milo to them anymore.

My dog, havapoo, got in for a shampoo, nails cut, ear and teeth clean and just a very little cut like just 2 inches. Usually it take 2 hours.. it was a first at petco. Was too long more than 4 hours.. and he was totally and badly shaved.. he was injured and we can tell for 2 days after that he was like traumatized and in pain. I really felt the staff is unprofessional.. will never go back there. Pictures of before and after!!!! 😡😡😡

Amanda in grooming is always awesome!! She is so sweet and gentle with my older rescue pup Maggie. The staff is always helpful and the last time I was there, a nice gentleman helped me find everything I needed.

Went and purchased 2 ferrets today. SUPER knowledgeable and friendly staff.Covered every detail of what you need, what to expect, and how to do everything.I am so appreciative to see people who are still involved in their job and like what they do. And the fact that they all love animals is awesome!Both times I went in to look at the ferrets I was helped way more then expected.I am so happy with my new furry friends!!

Came here at 9:40 AM, during their posted business hours to get some things for my Guinea piggies and the place was closed, locked tight. No sign, no note, nothing. Another customer told me their machines were out and they only took in customers for grooming. If you can groom and charge for those services…? Anyway, poor communication, poor customer service. I’ll just order from Amazon save the gas and the aggravation.

Yesterday, I purchased 4 skittle aquatic shrimp for $24. Normally 8$ each I was able to take advantage of the but 3 get 1 free discount.The next day ai tried to return one shrimp that had died the day prior before so was able to add them to the tank.The cashier was immediately rude to me and attacked the fact I had the wrong bag in their store (petsmart, sorry I’ve spent a lot of money recently). Then lead me down a line of questioning assuming that I was in some sort of fish theft ring bringing dead crustaceans in from outside pets stores and trying to exchange them for live ones…Like what, I bought this dead shrimp yesterday from this very store, I would like a living shrimp, not the dead one you sold me!IlThen out of the blue, they asked me for a water specimen!?! The shrimp didn’t even make it in to my tank…. (For the record I tested the water 3 days ago, pH, Nitrates, and Nitrites wet all fine)At no point the day prior, when I inquired from the man I bought the shrimp from, did he say anything about a water samples being needed for returns…Why is that?But they did say they would offer me a refund, in the amount of $0.56 for an animal I paid 6$ for!!! What a shame. When I asked for the manager he was rude too and said it’s the only way the computer will let him return it. Upon which I asked him can’t he do anything as the manager of the store. He then went on to express that its not his problem, he doesn’t care what I think, not does he care if his store (and greater Petco) receive my business in the future. Not the role model of customer service in leadership if you ask me.Funny part is, while exchanging the one shrimp, I was going to buy 4 more, they lost my $24 over an 8$ return. Not to mention the $1000+ dollars I’ve spent at multiple stores over the last month.Their loss! Go to another competitor guys.Online has a better return policy than these clowns. They have a no questions policy on returns.I also returned a single Guppy at Petsmart just 1 week ago, no questions asked! I bought 3 more fish and another 50$ in supplies that dayI’ve got lots of options so I will happily shop elsewhere in future. And stear clear of this store manager as well.

My wife brought our dog, Tommy, in for a grooming last Saturday and mentioned the last time he was there, he had some irritation on his underside and genital area and to be careful around that area...We picked him up that night and immediately noticed how close of a shave his nuts got... See attached image.We called today, after watching Tommy suffer and shake in discomfort for the last few days to let their management team know what had happened and that we will no longer be using their service.After learning that the groomer in question didn't take any notes about my wife's mention to be mindful of the previous visit, I also recommended they implement better training company wide if they're going to offer a service that can do harm to your canine companions and family members.I offered to send this image to them privately, apparently they like the 1 star reviews as that wasn't an option.IDK if this lady hates dogs or something... but I feel obligated to warn you before looking, this looks evil.

It's a great place for pet supplies, but I wouldn't purchase an animal from a big box store. They had a small parrot, which was very overpriced for the amount of handling it was lacking. Unsocialized parrots are simply not worth the same price. It may have been hand fed from the beginning, but that same care has not been extended once it reached its cage in this pet store.

My Beta fish tank journey has been really fun and rewarding, thanks to all of the staff members and management of this location. Very patient and friendly and willing to get through challenges that I was having with tanks. I highly recommend the Petco brand tanks (kit tank) for your Beta fish, they are easy to set up and actually very good looking, as they are a seamless tank and you can see the fish and decor nicely...plus it has a duo light that is white and blue. Great customer service and I love my new fish , his name is Cowboy😍

Petco is no longer a pleasurable experience in Henderson NV. Their system is set up to push upsales and donations. Now they charge for plastic bags for customer merchandise. Their customer service lacks, as well. The cashier on my last visit didn't greet me.He mumbled under his breath and gave zero customer service! This is what I have come to expect nowadays. Petco, what happened to you? I'll take my business elsewhere because your store has repeatedly lacked in simple areas. You no longer care about your consumers and their pets who are the reason your business flourishes. This poor rating review is a long time coming. Address your customers courteously. Show them you are happy they chose you over your competitors. Thank you.
