Cottonwood staff is amazing. My dogs were here during the blizzard in January, 2024. I did not worry at all because the staff. Always a good experience and my dogs are well taken care of here. I also love the daycare service and that my dogs get to socialize with other dogs.

Our dog has stayed at Cottonwood many times over the past few years. He is always well cared for and happy. We enjoy watching him play on the live webcams. When we bring him back, he is happy to run to the staff, and the staff know him by name!

I took my dog here for a week. I absolutely love how I could check up on him with their online cameras! He seemed to be taken really good care of and didn’t want to leave! We got his nails trimmed and an oatmeal bath for his itchy skin! They were very considerate of our boys needs and took care of him the best way!

Cottonwood always does a great job of taking care of our dog. Our dog is older (14) and pretty much deaf now, and gets anxious when away from us. The staff was sensitive to his needs and took good care of him!

Best boarder I've ever used for my dogs! They played with them, kept them active & happy, and the staff seem to genuinely enjoy being there. It's worth the drive out to Waterloo (I live in Bellevue) to know that my dogs are safe and enjoying their time! I'll take them there anytime I go out of town.

The communication from the employees could have been better. I was told my dogs were not cooperative during their bathes? Despite being fully vaccinated, and not really mixing with other dogs... they all came home with sneezes and coughs. Disappointed considering the huge chunk of money I gave them for watching my dogs.

We have been looking for a groomer for our Newfoundland and Cottonwood did not disappoint! The communication from drop off to pick up was great. You can tell the groomer cared about our dog and we really appreciated it. Highly recommend!

This is like a home away from home for your pet. We use their daycare services and also their boarding. My coonhound loves to go back and has made some really good friends that he loves to see each time he gets to go and play for the day or for a few overnights. The staff are all friendly and caring and love what they do! You won't find a more reliable place to take your pet. They are like family.

Amazing staff. Always actually checked in dogs when we called -- not just "they're doing good". Staff is helpful in meeting dogs needs -- blankets, toys, play time. Will be going back every time we travel without the dogs.

I boarded my 2 dogs here for 5 days and was very impressed with the company. They had a variety of options for sleeping arrangements, treats, pet excursions, etc. Which was perfect since one of my dogs is a new rescue and he has some trust issues with new places. They also have cameras in all the play areas that let you watch your dog anytime they are out playing.Booking, Check in and Check out was very quick and easy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. My dogs enjoyed their time and I did not have to worry about them staying somewhere.

Love this place and all their staff. My dog is so excited to be here. Its great socialization and exercise for our highly active puppy when we have meetings or events that require us to be gone most of the day. I hate having her in a kennel for extended periods of time so cottonwood has been our saving grace. She comes home exhausted 😴. We are so thankful for cottonwood and how much they love our fur baby 🐶

I boarded my dogs in the past (several years back now) and have had great experiences, so I always recommend Cottonwood. However, I recommend Cottonwood to my in-laws for their 2 puppies and the service and communication was far from recommendable and very disappointing.1. They brought in toys and treats for the dogs. When they were picked up they were never given either after 9 days.2. Their dog beds they brought in were covered in white fur, even though our dogs are black labs, the explanation was they had to keep them in the hallway alot and must have been from another dog.3. And the actual worst part, they came back with Kennel cough and no one said anything when they were picked up. No one cared to mentioned before or after they were dropped off that it was apparently going around the kennel.I know things can happen, and sickness goes around, but I am very disappointed in the service and complete lack of communication and will no longer take my own dogs here, or recommend your business.

I started taking my dog to Cottonwood when I started working in Elkhorn. I live in Lincoln. It wasn't as interactive with the dog attendants as the Lincoln daycare but my dog seemed ok with going. My office downsized and we went back to working from home. So here I am with a 20 day package (over $400) with only 4 days used. I called to see if we could work something out. Maybe a partial refund. I was told they would leave a message with the owner to call me. After 4 months and 5 calls to them, I still haven't heard from them. Not even a call saying they can do nothing. I don't trust a business that won't even return phone calls. Those who use their services, I hope you never have an issue with thembecause I doubt they'll even talk to you about it.

We brought our dog here to spend two nights before a big vacation to get her acclimated and had no issues. When we went on our 10 day vacation, we had trouble picking her up and they flat out refused to help with waiting a few extra minutes after closing and ended up having to pay an extra night.We had paid for grooming, trail walks every two days, and play time as she was not spayed (they require dogs to be spayed/neutered to go into the shared dog areas for public playtime).When we received our dog, she lost 6 lbs and became reactive. She is now upset at dog barks, the presence of dogs, and scratches aggressively when restrained. She had a sweet temperament before this visit and had prior interacted in dog parks positively with no aggression.I expected more from an establishment to uphold high standard to treating our fur babies properly. Trust was given to have family treated right, and with the red flags for pick up, her weight loss and her 180 degree change in behavior, I cannot recommend this place. You will have your dog scarred for life, and they do not deserve the mistreatment this place gives behind closed doors.

Cottonwood was a great place originally, but over time it has gotten worse and we had to make the decision to cancel all of our future appointments. We did use cottonwoods grooming service but after our last experience there, we had to cut ties. I don’t know if it’s the groomers or other staff, but one of our dogs about had a full on anxiety attack the last time we brought her in and she has never been like that before. She is shy at times, but loves people. Last time we went, she was whimpering non-stop and just about flat out refused to go inside and was hiding behind my wife. I don’t know if the groomers are rough with the dogs or something, I’m not making any accusations, but regardless our dog hates going there now and in the best interest of her health, we have decided to find someone else. Don’t know if it’s the influx of appointments either that is causing the issue, maybe the staff are being over worked and it is causing them to rush? It is the beginning of March and they are fully booked out until November…

We are raising a puppy for Leader Dog. In the future we are in Nebraska, and our pup needs to have some down time. This is the resort of choice! He was ecstatic once he realized where he was going. Dogs don't lie.

I've been bringing my Lab to cottonwood for a few weeks now an I absolutely love it. Ruby was a little timid for the first visit, but by the second visit she couldn't wait to get taken back to the daycare area. She is definitely worn out by the end of the day. All of the staff learned who she was right away. They are always so personable. Its also nice to be able to get her nails clipped at the same facility. They just take care of it while she is at daycare.

We've taken our dog to Cottonwood for 9 years (all her life) and they've taken excellent care of her. Nothing is as good as home, but this is a close second. Wouldn't dream of taking her anywhere else. They have given us GOOD reason to trust them with our sweet Golden's life.

Would not recommend this place for grooming. First time we had our Golden Retriever groomed they completely butchered his hair cut. Giving them the benefit of the doubt we tried going back, scheduling an appointment 3 weeks in advance only to be told "We don't even have you in our system." Despite A. Having been there for a previous grooming and B. Scheduling an appointment 3 weeks in advance. Told it is up to the groomers if they can work him in and they are extremely busy. Completely unhelpful and unapologetic for their error.

These people are terrific! Was running late and they made a one time exception to wait for us. It was extremely awesome and appreciate them for doing tgis. They took very good care of our dog by bathing him, supplying food and treats and gave him plenty of time to run outside. Highly recommended this facility to care for your family pet!
