Took three of our cats there while we were out of town. The staff was very friendly and sent us pictures and updates. The cat room is set up very nicely and the cats had a great view of the outside. We will definitely be using them again!

We will never be taking our fur baby back to this establishment. We dropped her off on a Sunday, in which I indicated on the reservation request to drop off at 9am. I was never once informed that they did not open until 4pm on Sundays. We got there and were greeted by a rude young woman that stated they did not open until 4pm. When we dropped off our baby, we included 10 days of food and her food scoop and gave them her feeding schedule with amount at eat feeding. We returned in time to pick our babygirl up a day early. We received her two toys and the baggies that had her food in them. We did not get her food scoop back. In regard to her food, we gave them 10-days worth of food, she was there for 7-days. The additional 3 days of food disappeared along with her food scoop. She had visibly lost weight and was having explosive diarrhea. She acted as though her food scared her when we would feed her. She continued to have severe diarrhea for 4 days (we took her to the vet on day 4). On day three of the diarrhea she also began vomiting. The vet put her on multiple medications to help with the diarrhea and nausea. On the same day 4 we ended up at the emergency vet because she would not stop vomiting. How does a perfectly healthy, fully vaccinated 8-month old puppy spend a week boarded and comes home terribly sick and scared? What did they do to our baby girl? I understand stress from being boarded, but not for this long after being brought home. What did they feed her or allow her to get into that would have caused her to become so sick? Not only all of that, they over charged us and never gave us a copy of the final invoice. I had to call on the way home to tell them that I had been over charged. Their website indicated one price, but we were charged a different price for both the boarding fee and the extra playtime/one-on-one time we requested she be given. We are furious with them and will never go back, nor recommend that anyone take their animals to them. This experience has completely caused me to lose trust in any boarding facility and moving forward we will only ever use a dog/house sitter. Shame on them for whatever poor treatment our baby received. She is not the same puppy that we dropped off!

They were able to get our 2 fur babies in last minute for memorial day weekend. When we came to pick them up they smelled absolutely terrible and I was picking ticks out of them for a week. Yes, they were previously treated against fleas and ticks. Next time, we will go back to our normal kennels or we won't go on our trip. Much better care and friendlier staff at our other kennels for a better price.

From the first time I kenneled Eva I knewThat Wilderness Kennels would be her forever home away from home.The staff is always friendly and accommodating.Henry is a top-notch trainer and the only change I would make is I wish i would have taken Eva to Henry to train her as a pup!!

Our family dog died here. She was a Great Pyrenees left here for almost a week in the summer. She was left in an outside kennel on one of the hottest weeks of that summer. They had claimed to brought her into an indoor kennel at the end of her stay. When they returned to work the following morning she wasn’t alive anymore. When questioned they claimed it was from too much stress… don’t you think if they knew that was the cause they would’ve done something more about it? Please please please do your research about who you leave your dogs with. Pay extra for them to stay with a loving person.

Great environment for Kenneling your dog. They offer training services also, which we used and they are fantastic. They tell you how it is and did a fantastic job training our Teddy! Highly recommend!

Great place to board your dog, the staff is kind knowledgeable and caring. Every time we pick up our pups they are happy and healthy (unfortunately I can’t say that about other places I’ve boarded) all around I recommend Wilderness Kennels!

Kenneled my dog for about a week. They were friendly and accommodating. My dog needs a twice daily medication and they gave it to her. They only accept cash or check but you pay when you pickup so you won't be blindsided. The runs are decently sized, the go indoor and outdoor with a chain link fence separating the dogs.

My wife and I had a flight to Dallas leaving at 5:30 Pm in Omaha. We had booked a kennel for our dogs at Trude’s Dog Motel. We get to Trude’s about 3:00 PM, we go inside and they tell us that they booked us for next month (November) and they have no room. So we call Wilderness Kennels and they are able to accommodate us at 3:30 pm. We made the flight and when we picked up our dogs they smelled better than when we dropped them off, I’m not sure if that got a bath, but I was happy. I will definitely board our dogs with them again and refer anyone who asks. Thank you.

Unless you pay extra, dogs aren't really let out to go bathroom. I was told that they would only be let out if our dogs hadn't went to the bathroom in their kennel area at the end of the day. Well our dogs are house trained and refused to go where they slept, so when we picked them up after 5 days they were backed up and went bathroom 4-5 times in 20 minutes as soon as we took them outside. Seems there is room for improvement here in basic animal care.

Don't know why I hadn't found this place earlier in our lives! They are so reasonably priced for each day charge, and the place is so huge! Your dog gets a great runner & shelter. Definitely will be using again!

We bring our husky here quite often. He absolutely loves it! He knows exactly where he's going when we pull in the driveway. When we go pick him up he smells so good too! He gets brushed and a little smelly good spray while he is there. Absolutely recommend Wilderness Kennels!

ABSOLUTE WORSE PLACE I HAVE EVER TAKEN MY DOGS. Yes their prices are reasonable, and yes they were able to fit us in last minute, but the care the offer is very poor. I asked if they could both be bathed by their groomer and the gentleman that checked us in said that wouldn't be an issue.When we got there to get our dogs the lady at the counter, I believe she may be an owner, said that they don't do grooming over the holiday weekend. When I talked to the guy when we dropped them off he said the holiday wouldn't be an issue.On the website it says that most dogs leave as clean as they came in. I would say this is a complete lie. Our dogs smelled as if they had to sit in their own urine for the 4 days they were there. I can understand if they had that kennel smell but that was absolutely uncalled for. By that point I was too furious to go in and blow up and decided it would be best just to leave because it was likely my complaints would get me no where.If you love your fur babies I would recommend that you do NOT take your animals here and spend the extra money and take the extra time to make sure they get the proper care.

Great place. They never put dogs together so your dogs are safe. I live on the property so I see how things are done. They have the best trainer around. Henry is never harsh and gives lots of praise and it's obvious that the dogs like him.

My Maltese fur babies, Mr. Wilson and Lil Missy, love coming here!! They love their walks and I know they are getting spoiled and well taken care of!! They have been here several times and am booking today for an overnight trip next week. Definitely recommend them!!

We dropped our sweet 9 month old puppy there over the weekend and had a terrible experience. She was covered in her own poo and urine and smelled like death when we picked her up. She has also changed temperamentally since this experience. She used to love everyone and now is suspicious of strangers and very fearful on walks. For a few days after she was terrified of men. Even some men she knew. I am suspicious that she was treated poorly by someone while she was there. Now we take our dogs to Kenl Inn and they love it there and come home clean and happy. We will not be taking our dogs to Wilderness again.

We used to take our dog here. We only took him two times. Both times he came back smelling like cow manure. It was just awful. Both times we also suspiciously got nearly all of the food back like he hadn't eaten much being there. Then the second time we could barely get our dog out of the car to go inside he was so scared almost like we were trying to take him to get shots at the vet but much worse. He truly was terrified and we hated that we had to leave him there. After that heart wrenching experience we never took him back. We go to Kenl Inn now and he loves it.

This is a kennel that has very strict rules and if you need an early release, then you will pay for it. They charge just an extra $100 for a day that they are not open just to get our dogs out. there was negotiation about the price and we will NOT be coming back.

Please do not take your dog here. I live with the guilt of bringing my dog to this monstrous place. I wish I could go back in time, I would make a different choice and never have brought my dog here. At least my review may save a dog and owner from abuse.
