Lodge looks small when we came around the corner. Was very surprised to see how many spacious rooms under the lodge & had wifi too! Wanted to spend more time visiting with Betty & reading all the history up in the huge lodge with a view to die for! Very nice place/people. Betty & Jim go way above the normal to make us feel at home. And we wished it was. Its so beautiful, like we are in heaven out here in the country. Yet the town of Niobrara is only a few miles away. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us! We can't wait to come back again!

Pheasant hunting at it's finest ! We got a guide and his dogs couldn't be happier w them all ,ty Jim . The lodge kitchen,breakfast,lunch and dinner were great ty pam and Betty made me feel at home. her scrap books and storys of the lodge and area were perfect. Awesome trip thank you Swanson family for my suns first pheasant hunting trip!!! O ya and they cleaned and packaged my birds to go w a great option

Some of the friendliest hosts you can find. We did a morning and an evening hunt. Woke up to big breakfast, came in to a great lunch and finished the day with a awesome supper. The expectations I had from reading the website was exceeded. There is honestly, nothing I can come up with as a negative for this lodge. I would highly suggest bringing a telescope, because the night sky is absolutely breathtaking. The view from the lodge is amazing. I'm hoping to make a trip to Swanson Hunting Acres & Lodge a place I come back to. Put it like this, After our time out hunting in the morning; we we're already making plans for our return. I would recommend this place for some of absolutely BEST pheasant hunting you can find in the state of Nebraska. And the price? Oh man, the price for what you get is absolutely great. You'll be hard pressed to find a lodge with hosts as friendly as them. With meals as good as them and a hunt as fun as them for a better or same price. You wanna go pheasant hunting? Swanson Hunting Acres & Lodge will show you pheasant hunting at its absolute best and you will leave with a strong desire to return. That's what happened to me. We haven't even made out of Nebraska and we're already talking about coming back.
