If I could give Barb and Heartland Classics more stars I would, cause 5 stars does not do them justice. I have had my girl (coton de tulear - birth name Ivorie - now named Alice) for 3 weeks now and she is just the best pup and companion for me and my daughter. She had her vet appointment and nothing but great things were mentioned and of course she had a clean bill of health! She is extremely smart, very playful, a little goof and the best cuddler. We love her so much and are so happy to have her apart of our lives! Thank you to Barb for your diligence on how well you take care of these babies. In my experience of talking to her and meeting her in person when I visited her she was very informative and welcoming and I appreciated that very much. If you are looking for a puppy I highly recommend Heartland Classics! If in the future we are wanting another pup I plan on going through them again and won’t go anywhere else.

We have purchased two Wheaten Terriers from this family owned breeder. We love this non-shedding, playful , intelligent breed and chose an older male (18 weeks) they had named Dexter. We gave him a forever home and re named him Seamus Finnigan Haggen. Here he is mountaineering in the Black Hills two weeks after we brought him home.

My family purchased a Havaton puppy from Heartland Classics about a week ago. I can't say enough positives about the entire experience. From putting down the deposit, to selection, to pick up and everything in between, we had a wonderful experience with Barb and David. I greatly appreciated the constant communication and wonderful tips. When we were on the wait list to pick a puppy, we got weekly updates on litters and always knew where we were at "in line." Barb was always happy to answer any questions and was incredibly responsive, thorough, and kind. After we got to pick our puppy, Barb asked us for a name so they could start calling her it from day one. They also have a photographer on staff. We got photos of our puppy at birth and then every two weeks until pick up day! Getting pictures every two weeks was so greatly appreciated and they were so creative! One week, our pup was a cowgirl with a little hat on, the next it was the circus. So cute! It made the wait easier, especially since Covid prevented us visiting our pup in person (which they normally allow and encourage)! The transaction on pick up day was absolutely seamless and David was so nice! They have a great shop where you can get anything you might need at fair prices. What a great experience all around. And Winnie, our pup?!?! She is just the SWEETEST little girl we could have hoped for. She was happy as a clam to go with us and has been the sweetest girl, with the best demeanor! We are over the moon with our new puppy member of our family and the whole experience with Heartland Classics. It is very evident they care very much for their puppies and the mamas and daddies.

My little Winnie is just a bundle of joy. She is healthy, happy, playful and sometimes too smart for her own good! 😉 You can tell the care Barb puts into raising fantastic pups.💕 She is such a knowledgeable breeder!! Barb offered the option to ship the pup to me but I wanted to go check out the facility to make sure it was a good place to get a pup from. It is a very clean and well kept farm in NE. She even offers a “new puppy package” so you can leave with everything you need for your new addition. I would highly recommend this breeder. Our second experience with Heartland Classics was just as great as our first one. Our little Coton, Larkin, is a sweet happy little dog. Barb did such a wonderful job of explaining the process through emails, phone calls, and through the website. She always responded to my questions and concerns. In the take home packet she included a puppy information booklet. We have used it often to guide us through the puppy journey. It had been ten years since we had a little pup! We are so thankful we could work with Heartland Classics again.

We recently purchased a Coton de Tulear from Heartland Classics and we’re so pleased with our experience. We received bi-weekly photos and updates and many tips and suggestions from the owners on how to welcome our puppy Murray into our home. The female Coton de Tulear puppy we purchased from Heartland Classics will be turning ten years old soon. I thought this would be a good opportunity to provide a “decade later” review. We could have never anticipated the joy and light that this little dog has brought to our family of five. She is a super sweet and well-mannered dog. From our very first communication ten years ago, Barb provided thoughtful, patient, and effective communication on a very big decision in our lives. Our dog has annual vet visits and has been extremely healthy without any issues. If your family requires a non-shedding, hypoallergenic dog with an exceptional demeanor, I can’t imagine a better choice than a Coton de Tulear. My wife is campaigning to add a second Coton to our family. If we do, it will definitely come from Heartland Classics!

After researching wheaten terrier breeders I contacted Barb and scheduled a visit as I did not want to purchase any puppy without first seeing the facilities. We drove from Arkansas and although Barb was not there the day of our visit we found a beautifully well maintained facility and extremely knowledgable and helpful staff. After returning home our vet was very impressed with the health of our new pup and the degree with which he was already socialized. Bailey just celebrated his first birthday and experienced his first Hunt Holiday Hoopla with flying colors. This is a gathering of 20 wild and crazy family members of all ages in a confined space. He was very friendly and well behaved, which is more than can be said for some of the family 😁. I cannot thank Heartland Classics enough for such a wonderful new addition to our family.

This is the best place to get a puppy! We got a Havaton from them 11 years ago, who has been the best dog ever! When we were looking for another Havaton we checked with them. We picked up Mika (Raisin) almost 2 weeks ago, and she is so sweet. Barb gives excellent instructions in the handbook she sends home with you. Mika did great in our car on the way home, using the litterbox. She has continued to use the litterbox at night and occasionally during the day, but goes outside now and is even beginning to ring the bells by the door to let us know she needs to go out. She loves to play and is all puppy, but all our friends and family are amazed at her sweet nature and curious spirit.Barb and her husband and team really go above and beyond to prepare these puppies to be great family pets and adjust to life among their 'people pack'.Thanks again for making our second experience even better than the first with the photos sent every two weeks while we waited!

There aren’t enough stars for Barb and her team. From our initial inquiry about her Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers puppies, to the day of pick up, her communication and expertise were outstanding! After her well organized puppy picking process, she provided thoughtful bi-weekly updates regarding our pup with educational milestones, including her socialization process for the litter. This correspondence also included pictures of our little guy from her onsite photographer and his current weight.One of our biggest concerns in anticipation of picking up our pup was integrating the crating process the first night home after a long car ride; her last update just so happened to ease all our worries when she explained our pup would already have several weeks experience napping and sleeping in a crate. Our first night home went exponentially better than anticipated! No whining, crying or whelping. Perhaps we got lucky but I believe our goal of crate training has been a breeze thanks to the disciplined process she follows for her litters.Lastly, the pick up process was well organized and thought out. Her husband thoroughly explained all the paperwork being handed to us and they even included an incredible booklet providing advise on working with our new puppy. We were presented our freshly bathed pup, adorned in an adorable little scarf and were on our way. Our handsome guy is now 17 weeks old and adored by everyone we meet. We couldn't love him more.We highly suggest getting your fur baby from Heartland if you want a genuine breeder that makes the effort to provide all the extra little details for your new family member.P.S. Her website is full of valuable information including product suggestions and tips in preparation of bringing your puppy home.

They are very organized and efficient when you go to pick up. If you live in state be prepared to pay $67.10 in tax and $20 for microchipping. The paperwork was confusing about this. But we have a new very adorable golden doodle, Indy, that we are totally in love with. Oh and bring extra money for toys, she has a lot of cute ones for cheap!!!

We picked up our Coton de Tulear, Archie (formerly Stanley), from Heartland Classics in April. He could not be a better fit for our family! He is a very good representative of the Coton breed: loving, intelligent, goofy, and is always up for playing or sleeping. We are so glad we purchased him from Heartland. He did ultimately need surgery on cherry eyes in both of his eyes, which was a hefty vet bill but may or may not be genetic. We would still buy him again, as he has otherwise been a healthy, happy dog!

Barb and her family are amazing! We picked up our golden doodle this past weekend and have been extremely satisfied so far. The pickup process was very efficient, easy, and fun! They have leashes, harnesses, food, and other supplies available for purchase for awesome prices but are not pushy about it at all. Our puppy was so well cared for and so loved by Barb and her family. We had his first vet appointment today and everything was perfect! Beigny is my second Coton from Barb at Heartland. He is a joy - a confident and healthy companion for my 4 year old Coton. Both pups are healthy and were so well socialized when I picked them up at Heartland. Beigny has been home for a little over a week. My veterinarian was very impressed with Beigny’s physical condition after his examination of Beigny’s eyes, ears, teeth, heart, lungs and joints.I can not say enough about Barb’s conscientiousness as a breeder. The bi-weekly pictures and status updates on my puppy were so appreciated. Barb was thorough and very helpful in responses to my questions. We researched different kennels before we were fortunate to find Heartland classics. From our first conversation with Barb Lierman, we knew she and her family were the right choice. We had never heard of the coton de tulear breed but after studying up about them, we were sold. We ended up choosing a mix of a Coton and Havenese and we are so happy with our Sadie Grace. She is pure white except for a hint of caramel on her ears. She is 3 years old now and very healthy, happy and smart. We would definitely recommend Heartland Classics for their professional, caring and fair way they run their business. Their due diligence on picking families to adopt their pets was also very stringent and we were happy about that because it showed us how much they cared.

We knew we wanted a wheaten terrier and began looking for breeders. When researching I came across Heartland Classics. Part of me was apprehensive, wondering if the place was real or not. Thank goodness I went with gut and bought our puppy from them. Barb is amazing. Full of information and extremely pleasant to interact with. We got our pup during Covid but the areas we did see were clean and organized. Now on to our puppy. She is awesome. She is healthy with the best personality and temperament.
