I'm writing this in hopes Ace will figure something out. I have always loved having this store in my neighborhood, but they have everything locked to their shelves now, and it makes shopping there a drag. I shop there less because of it and I buy less from them because of it. It is so annoying to have to ask someone to unlock a pair of pliers off the shelf. I tried to buy a chainsaw from them one day and the chainsaws had two locks, and I waited ten minutes for the guy to try and get them both unlocked and he couldn't find the right keys. Then he told me I "had to fill out a registration form" to buy it. Buying a chain saw shouldn't take fifteen minutes. He was nice, but I finally told him I had to get going and that I'd get it some other time. I bought a chainsaw at lowe's a few days later. If I want to come and get a few tools and I have to be accompanied by an employee, I'm going somewhere else where I don't have to do that. Get an intimidating security guard and security cameras or something. The rest of us shouldn't have to go around the store with a baby sitter because of a few fools who weren't taught not to steal.

I went into the store this afternoon with very little hope of finding what I was looking for. My son wanted a toy that a friend had, a simple propellor on a stick. I had bought one from this location some time ago and thought I'd stop on the way home. As I figured, there weren't any on the self near the checkout where they'd been before. The two cashiers asked if the could help. I explained what I was looking for. They informed me that they no longer sold them. They then pulled one out of the drawer. We don't have any for sale but you can have this one, and handed it to my son. While he wasn't in the best mood in the store you made a three year old very happy. Five star customer service experience,thank you

High school kids goofing off at the register. Less than "helpful“ staff since the change over from the previous owners.If you're in a pinch and need something quick, this is your place. Otherwise I think you'll find the big box store to be a better fit for your needs.

Everytime I go here, if I ask a specific question, I get a confident "I don't think so", so then I always ask for someone who might know, they point, I ask again, and get a confident "no". I'm not offered a substitute for my hardware, or similar items, it's always just a smiley firm "no", especially from the boss man in the hardware area. So then, I look around and find a substitute but it's not the right size and at this point I'm not trying to prove anyone wrong or let my annoyance show, so I always just leave, paying too much for things I didn't even come for. Ace is one of my favorite places, and the people that work there are usually friendly people known to help you find what you need, like their slogan suggests, "Ace, the helpful place"... But not this location. 😵 😤

I was on a double rescue mission after all my flower seeds turned to weeds while I was away. They were down to highly discounted scraps when I showed up for flowers, so I bought a LOT to fill all my sad, empty, freshly weeded pots. They brought me boxes and were extremely patient with checking me out even though they were quite busy.

I generally prefer Ace to the competition, mostly because the customer service is ALWAYS better. This location is no different. The minute I walked in, a CSR approached me to find out what I needed and pointed me in the right direction. This will never get old.

Clean, professional and had what I needed. Employees walking the aisles helped me find what I needed as I'm not used to this ace. I had my dog with me and they gave her a treat.The 20 dollar medium bag of popcorn sold by the boy scouts outside the door was a surprise though.

I can't lie, I spend way too much time at Ace. It is bad enough that when I tell my wife I need go there, she says, "big surprise".The store carries everything I need for smaller projects and can order stuff for the big ones if they don't have it in stock.They have great customer service, plenty of experts on hand as well as employees who are just there to help you find the small things you need.I have never had a single bad experience in all the times I have been in the store. It is much better than driving across town to one of the big warehouse stores where I wander around trying to find something and there is nobody handy to ask.

Super helpful service. Some of the older experienced gentlemen have been missing lately so there's younger staff. I'm still surprised, though, at how knowledgeable some of the young kids are. This family owned business it's a great asset to the neighborhood. Prices aren't as cheap as a big box store, but I've noticed them getting a little more competitive lately.

Usually very helpful asking if I needed help. Today not so much. Employee in my aisle didn't ask, another walked by at end of aisle didn't ask. I did find what I needed. I go here quite a bit first time this has happened. I will go back.

Ask for a staff person to help with a specific question and they will help you think through most any hardware problem regardless of you DIY skill set. MY KIDS and I miss the free popcorn they used to offer. I wish they would bring this back. But this is hands down my favorite hardware store. I’m so glad they are part of my neighborhood!

Staff are do helpful and know where everything is and how it works. I was trying to color match wood stain. The associate actually opened the stains and dabbed them on my sample for side by side comparison. So awesome.

The outside isn't much to sneeze about but it has a pretty big selection inside. Employees are friendly when they are available but that's no fault of theirs. One recommendation would be to hire more floor staff like a bigger box store wood i.e. for general knowledge and advice. Also tent sales, more tent sales.

Possibly 3 other customers in store besides my young daughter and I. No one greeted us or offered assistance to help us find what we wanted to purchase. When I was carrying a couple items & browsing. Miraculously! A employee popped up (Scared Us!) offering to take my items to the front register. Ok! Then I noticed that every couple isles the same employee was offering assistance or asking if she could take items to the front. My 9yr daughter stated "That lady is following us & acting like we are going to steal stuff!" I AGREED!! So after "playing" with her & after she made 10 or more trips to the front register for us. I asked to speak to a manger. Told manger left early. I informed the lady & the only other employee that I didn't appreciate being treated like I was a thief! Then saying to take everything back to it's spot because I wasn't buying nothing!!!

I meant to leave a review last week about my experience with Dillion. All employees at Ace are amazing with customer service but Dillion really stood out to me. He spent over 30 minutes with me, even standing in the rain to fix my Key fob to my Toyota. He ended up saving me $130 by fixing it himself! This kid deserves a raise! I love Ace! Thank you again, for the best customer service in town!
