Erin, the groomer, consistently does an amazing job on my two Maltese. One of them is wiggly like a trout and she still manages to make him look great!

Finally!!! I been hunting puppies for over a month and everywhere/everyone has nothing available. I've been calling here once a week and they have had a shortage due to CV 19 and everyone is adopting puppies while they are home. I'm concerned about what happens after everyone goes back to work.Anyways, we'd lost our fur baby of 13 years. So on spur of the moment today I stopped in. There was a nice selection and we now have 2 new babies. Yes, this will be their forever home until God calls them home. Hopefully 12-20 years from now. They were clean, playful and staff were very patient with me.( I had to play with them all). **They have a play donation jar, if you want to go play with them, to help cover misc costs** I didn't know that you could just go to play if you need a quick puppy fix. Love the idea. They also loaned me a carrier (I have several) which we are taking back tomorrow. I really didn't plan on stopping in, so hadn't brought any.Thank you ladies ❤️I would recommend using the play option if you aren't ABSOLUTELY sure you can keep your babies when going back to work/school.!!!!13 years ago I also had gotten my baby from here. It was in excellent health and problems developed later in life were not a result of puppy mill breeding. We did try all rescue places in 3 states to no avail. All that was available were large dogs, even up to 8 years old.

I bought a puppy there a few years back and did no t get any paperwork and was handed the puppy, that’s all! Yesterday I bought a puppy from J and L Nebraska dog and was impressed on how Jennifer Hoyt was so detailed. I received all the paperwork showing vaccines and last vet visit the day before delivery. Not only that, she sent a bag full of goodies that included food, treats, toys and more. Jennifer is awesome!

Dogs are of great quality. We’ve bought a dog from there and couldn’t be happier. Yes, I get that people hate that the dogs just hang out in cages, but I really don’t understand another way. It’s a great alternative with a variety than buying from a breeder.

The puppies seem very healthy and happy and rambunctious! They have specific breeders for their puppies and price based on pure breed and difficulty of breed.

Puppies from poor breeding lines, you'll spend more up front and down the line. Support a local rescue, save yourself the heartache of supporting a for profit breeder/store that only cares about the animals as far as the sale.

We have always had positive experiences here, our Maltese that we purchased here 5 years ago is healthy and happy... Best lap warmer EVER! We also have her groomed here, and they do an awesome job. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another dog here, and for the haters and neg reviews, consider the source. Have they actually bought pets here? We have, and will again. Nufff said.

Love this place! Have purchased 3 dogs and a Himalayan kitten here over the years. Sorry to hear of Tina's passing, but glad it has stayed in the family. Always have appreciated the care they take in choosing breeders to work with and the emphasis they place on quality personalities and temperaments in their puppies. Highly recommend. Be sure to research your breed no matter where you buy to make sure they're a fit for you and your family!

They have adorable puppies and kittens. Wish the selection was bigger but its understandable considering the timing

This place gets their dogs from a puppy mills. They lie and say they are from a breeder and lie about the breed. I was sold a mini daschuand, when now that he’s growing, he is indeed not a mini. I got him straight from here with kennel cough, ear infection and parasites. They charged just as much as a breeder would when he did in fact come from a puppy mill. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE if you aren’t looking to pay a bunch in medical bills to resolve their issues. I’m glad I got my puppy out of that terrible environment and saved his life getting him treated right away for the type of parasite he has.

I was not satisfied at all with my visit. My boyfriend and I wanted to see/interact with a puppy but the employee outright refused, saying that he would be “too big” and that they only bring out big dogs for people truly interested in purchasing. She did not once ask if I was serious, and just assumed I was some silly child. On top of being refused to see the dog I wanted to, I observed a chihuahua pup in the shop way younger than an acceptable age to be sold. This dog had to be only 4-5 weeks old. Absolutely not acceptable. I will not be visiting this shop any time soon, if at all.

I have bought a dog here 15 years ago he is getting older and we are kinda looking to get a new puppy. We stopped to look at some puppies and they were not real excited to me to be finding these puppies homes. We wanted to bring a couple out and we couldn't just one. Wanted to see how the 2 puppies would act together. Was kinda thinking about getting 2 so they have each other when we are not home. But I felt they just want you to look in window and pick a puppy. A dog picks you. You dont pick a dog. They made this hard.

I've read through some of these reviews and have to wonder where these people went. I have been going there for over 16 years and the people that work there ha e always been extremely helpful and very well informed. I purchased a pup from there that my vet said was exceptional. I have owned a Shiva now for 8 years and by all her food, tears etc. There because I trust them. My Shiva is my baby and do my best to give her the best which is why I chose the pet doctor!!

If I could give this place less than one star I would! The puppies come from a puppy mill and usually experience a lot of health problems. Not only are you overpaying for the puppy, you will be paying a lot in medical bills as well.On top of this, the staff at the Pet Doctor are extremely rude. I have been there on multiple occasions just to see if I could play with the puppies and give them some much needed love and they will not even let you touch the animals once they realize you won't buy one. Terrible people and terrible store, please consider adopting a rescue if you are looking for a pet!

We bought a puppy 3 months ago from Pet Doctor and have never been happier! He is a smart, healthy and fun little guy. They were very helpful and explained everything to us before we made the purchase. They have a great warranty program, which most breeders to not have out of the paper. So glad we made the purchase from Pet Doctor!

I remember wanting to adopt, but the staff gave us the wrong information on the time/date and when to come so someone else ended up adopting a dog we wanted. Frustrated, one of my family members recommended to buy a dog where they got theirs. In the end I ended up going to the "Pet Doctor" and falling in love with a little Shih Tzu here! One year later and she's growing up a cheerful and healthy dog and a best friend to my daughter.

This happened in the middle of 2016.My daughter and I would come like once a month, pet puppies, and make our donation/contribution for doing so. This was like our 6th time coming and after arriving we're looking at the doggies in their cages to pick one out to pet, when I overhear a worker telling a customer that she can't pet the puppies anymore unless she's looking to buy them. The worker went on to say they that the doggies had been overplayed and that if the lady was willing to buy a dog she'd let her pet more. Otherwise she had already gotten her one animal to pet for the day. So then after 3 minutes, I went to the worker and nicely with a smile said, "Hello, I'd like to have my one animal to pet please" and she said "No, they aren't available for petting anymore, they've been overplayed". I said, "All of them have?" I said this because there were like 20 puppies altogether. So the worker refused us from petting and I was upset because we had always contributed although it was optional. I've never gone back. The workers there are normally grumpy or have a long face anyways. Plus they aren't really customer service orientated. You need to go to them, they won't come to you most of the time.

I can't understand the bad reviews. My husband and I had the most pleasant experience here with the owner and a staff member. They were more than polite, the owner was knowledgeable and friendly and she spent loads of time with us. The place was immaculate. All the dogs looked well. The play rooms were clean. Zero complaints here. Excellent experience and we love our new fur baby.

Pet Doctor is a store that gets their dogs from puppy mills. They will tell you it’s not true, they will offer you papers, they will say their dogs are from breeders, but here are the facts. Papers don’t mean anything. The AKC doesn’t check into breeding operations so it means nothing if the dog is certified. Professional Breeders will breed one to two types of dogs and would never sell their dogs third party. A breeder doesn’t need to lose money with a middle man like a pet store because there is high enough demand that the puppies will be sold by the time they reach 8 weeks.Pet Doctor charges more money for dogs than local breeders. They must buy the dogs from mills first and then upcharge the customers. You might be offered a warranty on the dog you purchase, but if the dog gets sick or dies they will not give you your money back or replace the dog. You also run a high risk of getting a sick dog because puppy mills don’t monitor breeding and many of the dogs get inbred because of that. Supporting pet Doctor is supporting the torture of the puppies you see and the dogs you don’t see. The mothers live in cages without medical help and get tossed out when they can no longer produce puppies. Dogs that don’t sell to stores get sold to animal research. If you love dogs, PLEASE DON’T buy from a pet store.Check out Nebraska Puppy Exchange on Facebook if you are searching for a breeder of a specific breed. Ask the breeder to see the parents and their living quarters. If the breeder refuses they are likely running a puppy mill. If breed doesn’t matter, adopt from a local shelter. (Shelters get purebred dogs often, so they are worth checking out anyway)

Please don't buy a puppy from here. They are from puppy mills. I bought my dog from here 12 years ago before I knew anything about puppy mills. My baby was less than 8 weeks old. Torn away from his mom way too early. This place smells like smoke and the dogs look sick and are sick. Rescue and research!

Went in to look at puppies, we were told you can only look at one dog because weekends are busy. If they are that busy they should hire more staff on weekends. My son was very upset he couldn't look at a puppy he wanted because his sister already looked at one. Doesn't smell the best in there as well. We decided to look elsewhere.

The puppies are cute. Just don't go after 4pm...they are so worried about getting out early, you won't get to take a puppy out to see if it is a good fit for your family. Apparently they only sell puppies before 4pm. I will keep looking elsewhere.

Would give 0 stars if I could.Purchased a puppy there in February. He has too many health issues to list. Owner or manager is completely incompetent and rude. Their contracted “Vet” is a joke and their disgusting hygiene practices and false advertisement of “healthy” puppies is irrefutably disgusting. People always stress rescuing animals but I have to believe that’s what I did because my puppy would most likely be dead if I didn’t work to restore his health. I have complained to the Better Bussiness Bereau and hope they regulate this establishment.

No puppies and the prices are differently OUT of hand!Covid or no Covid, puppies needs good loving homes.I wanted to have a companion for my PTSD however, $1700 for a puppy is ludicrous! The changes of pricing is due to the fact demand is out there but to take advantage of us, because of Covid19 and we all may get Stimulus that is totally outrages!

Just went in today interested in a dog of theirs. Workers were VERY rude and disrespectful. Didn’t do their jobs at all, and didn’t help us or give us any information. Every time I’ve been there and been interested in a dog, they haven’t let me look at any dogs or taken me seriously. Not to mention they’re overpriced and the poor dogs have tiny cages with no bedding or play space. :( My advice is take your business elsewhere!!

Rude employees alert! I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a place in my life. I came in with my kids, admiring the puppies- poor things in wired floored cages- there for at least 20 minutes. No interaction from employees. I dared to ask about a certain puppy- and the lady behind the desk didn’t even look me in the eye, unimpressivly replied her answer. I would never shop I always ADOPT, but still.. good god.

I got a beautiful baby beagle here. She was having issues with an upper respiratory infection after i got her home, and a vet had prescribed her some antibiotics that were ineffective. I called another veterinarian when she wasn't improving and was told that i would have to spend hundreds of dollars on tests or they could just "put her down" if i was unable to pay up front. I called the Pet Doctor, brokenhearted, and asked them what i should do. They were incredibly compassionate and decided to bring her back to see their vet free of charge and board her there until she got better. They had no obligation to do so but they chose to save her life when everyone else just wanted to cushion their wallet. I'm not sure how this place gets negative feedback the way they do. If not for them, this ten week old little girl would be killed instead of treated with some basic emergency antibiotics so she can live a happy life. I'll be grateful every day i have her.

The place is dirty. The dogs get passed around to person after person in gross playrooms. It makes them sick, puppies shouldn’t be exposed like that. No one should support them by purchasing a dog. Go to the humane society, please.

Bought a black and tan long haired "Chihuahua" from this place about almost 4 months ago. Was alarmed when I got him home because after a couple of days I noticed him scratching his ears like crazy, turns out he had a yeast infection and had it for a while (before I bought him). Not a huge issue, took him to the vet and was reimbursed by the store. Stuff happens so I moved on. I'm giving 1 star because of what I found out later. My little guy ain't so little anymore. I noticed he was growing extremely fast and was overweight/tall for a typical Chihuahua, even a deer head. I called the store back and asked what was going on because I wanted a Chihuahua ( we already have one girl and wanted another for her to play with). I was told it's not uncommon for some to be larger than normal and that he's full blooded Chihuahua. Welp a month later, this guy is damn near 12 pounds, over a foot and a half tall, and has major behavioral issues. No one thinks he's a Chihuahua when they see him, and they're right! Turns out he's in fact NOT full blood Chihuahua. It's pretty messed up because had I known what he was beforehand I may have not had to pay as much for him and would've known how to train him upfront. Thanks Pet Doctor, that was pretty shady. Giving 1 star because I still love the little guy.

Kind a stinks. I honestly do not like the placement for this store especially considering they sell a variety of puppies here. The puppies are not well taken care of and really over priced. I do however like the hamster cages plenty of fresh are for them, space usually unless they overcrowd a bit.
