Nothing fancy. Good soft serve and hard pack ice cream options. The lemon soft serve is not the same as C&Ls, but no one else is doing it, so it's worth a try. Looks like they have a few food options, which is probably nice for the locals. Worth driving to it from Lincoln just to get out of the house for a while!

We're camping at Pawnee Rec and decided to go in to Lincoln for ice cream. Saw a closer option and glad we headed here instead. Great ice cream!! I had a single scoop of coffee flavor. The single scoop felt like three scoops, lol.

I've been going here for two seasons. Each season Dairy Joe's seems to hire great staff.The ice cream is fantastic, and there is a limited but nice food selection too.

Awesome store! I loved the Ice cream. I biked from the Univ to the lake and stopped by to check out the store, I'm glad I did. Great staff!

We love this little ice cream shop. The drive thru is so convenient. The soft serve ice cream is great. I get the Joe's Blitz which is ice cream with candy mixed in, so good. We probably get their pizza once a week. It's ready so fast and good.

Amazing nice cozy place on the way to Pawnee State Rec Area.The staff was pretty nice and courteous and the taste was out of this world. I tried Bluberry Cheesecake in sugar cone and it was the best I have ever had to date.Looking forward to many more visits and trying all the different flavours.

My wife and I stopped in on our way home from watching a movie in Lincoln. The server was so nice and gave us suggestions. We are in our 60s and it was like we're little kids with so many options at the point when you're up against the glass. They just made our day out more enjoyable.

This place is a great stop for old school hard ice cream, soft serve with unique flavors (lemon and a separate lime) and shakes/malts. Pizza is pretty good too. They can get pretty busy on the weekends so plan accordingly. Highly recommend this quaint place in the perfect location near two Nebraska lakes.

Today we came in with our family of 4 and were behind a family of 3. After all of us, including the family of 3, had placed our order the Milford Wrestling Team came in and placed an order for about a dozen kids. Their orders alone took about 20 minutes. So all of us waited patiently through their orders. After they were done ordering the woman who took our order began serving the wrestling team rather than the family in front of us or ourselves. We asked her why we weren't being served and she pointed to another staff and said "She has your order." That woman then asked what our order was. They had managed to lose the order slip. We were refunded and left due to to extremely poor service.It is my opinion that orders should be served on a first come first serve basis.Unfortunately we will not be back as this was not our first less than stellar experience (last year was similar and we were served melted ice cream). Dairy Queen right now the road provided us with just as good soft serve in less than 5 minutes although I would have rather spent my money somewhere local.

This was a great stop on our trip across the country. It was an easy little off interstate detour and a nice back-road break a few miles. The owner even went out to get ice and made a non-dairy concoction for our dairy free son. Well stop here for “ice cream:30”, our family tradition again when traveling through.

So good! We even got pizza there, we didn't realize they had food so that was a nice suprise! We love to stop here for goodies on the way home after fishing at Conestoga Lake! The girls are always so nice, and nice to sit outside to enjoy your treats!

Delish!! I drive by it so many times and always wanted to stop. Today i was able to and it was amazing!! My daughter LOVED her strawberry waffle cone and I had a Snickers Joe Blitz!! Yum! We will be back with the whole family!!

I arrived this evening at 8:55 pm. Attempted to order through drive thru, one vehicle in front of me. Thier order was taken. I was last in line. Time was 8:58pm. I tried to place an order and was turned away. They said they were closed. All lights still on. Folks in dining eating and as I stated before. Vehicle ahead placed thier order. I was bummed. Never been there. It looked good. 😞

The best chocolate malt I’ve had in town! DO NOT use the walk up window. You’re an afterthought to the drive thru. Second night in a row I was there. Tonight I waited 32min for a malt and blitz.

Fantastic, fun service as always and delicious ice cream treats, you can't ask for anything more! I recommend the Peanut Butter Fudge or Dulce le Leche. High quality Hiland Ice Cream and food available.

Close to closing and the help was all cheer and smiles.It was our 1st visit. And what I thought would have been close to Q's Blizzard exceeded it by far!I got to choose from a large selection of ice cream, and a candy portion that would have sent Willy Wonkers bonkers. Loosen your belt, because their small is quite tall.Dairy Joe, "you had me at hello"

We love the short drive from Lincoln to Emerald. Food and service are good. It's so nice to have a little local place like this to stop at on the way to Conestoga or Pawnee Lakes!
