I’m a strong advocate for ethical farming but this place has smelled like heavy disease for over 2 years. It appears that they switched ownership about 6 years ago and have been struggling since. The cows graze in pure mud and manure year round (hoof rot during winter/frost weather!!) and barely have space to turn around. The place smells like straight disease. Be prepared to hold your breath and be lightheaded when driving past.Buy your meat elsewhere until they fix their practices.

The smell of livestock at regional fairs isn’t too unpleasant. Just saying it’s not the livestock in this situation. There’s way more going on at that awful place. We drove by on August 3 and the smell was otherworldly. You can’t describe it. Best way to put it… generations of death and disease in a concentrated area. Prepare to gag if you drive by.

What in the world is this place??? DISGUSTING!!!!!!! I traveled around the world and saw so many different places but this is by far the stinkiest place on this planet (and I visited a garbage incinerating factory in France). You can smell it miles away. How does the government let this happen? I really consider eating beef after passing through this highway. The vegans should take note: get a bus, fill them with beef eating folks and drive them through this stretch of the highway....you will see how many will turn vegan after this one. God have mercy on us

Awful. Sad & Smelly. Cattle have no grass to free range in.. only ranging in their own feces. Feedlots also pose huge environmental problems with pollution let alone added stress on cattle. Support humane, grass fed, free range farms if you are going to eat meat!!!!

I grew up on a pretty big farm and have lived around countless livestock farms during my life and this is by far the worst smelling facility I’ve ever encountered. Their obviously neglectful operating environment is just acting for the spread of disease to these cattle. Absolutely atrocious

8:30 pm. I don’t see any cows since it’s pitch black outside, but I sure do smell them! Gross, how do I skip this part of my road trip. Had to cover my nose with my arm until it was clear to breath again, poor cows and people who have to live with this filthy air! Shame on whoever continues to allow this, find better eco ways to make it livable for everyone and for living animals! EVERYONE deserves clean air.

Don't get me wrong, I love steak and I've been around farms plenty; but this place is gross. There's no grass for the cows; so they're just standing in their own fecal matter. It's asking for diseases to spread, and promoting usage of medications; so the cows come with a side of chemicals in them. The smell invades the highway and everyone driving by can see the hundreds of cows crammed in small pens and smell how they're living. This place needs an upgrade... I wouldn't want to eat or drink anything from the cows in those pens.

I have passed this place a few times on cross country trips, and like everyone else has said you smell it before you see it. It is absolutely repulsive and I am astounded that a place like this can exist in this day and age. This will cause me to be even more careful than I already am about where my meat comes from and ensuring it comes locally and from places with more humane practices. Not only is this tragic for the animals who lead miserable lives before they are slaughtered, but I can't imagine eating something that came from those conditions. Disgusting.

Absolutely gorgeous cattle yards, 10 of 10. This is the smell of a 16oz ribeye in the making. Nothing warms my heart like seeing cattle do their favorite activities, eat and sleep. They look so content and happy....and tasty.

Everyone is complaining about how bad it smelt driving down I80...how about how bad the conditions are for the cows held here. This is a feed lot and the last stop prior to death pretty much. Zero shade in 90 plus weather, never cleaned, the cows just stand around in their own slop and wait. Super sad 😔 and this company has been around and operating since the 1970's. Cows are not dumb, people just suck. You can have a successful business without being inhumane in the process. So as you hold your breaths driving down I80 think about how bad it is to be standing in that waste all day, in the heat, no clean water, nowhere even dry to stand. Its all about the $$$ ......

As a fellow feedlot employee, THANK YOU for feeding America. If I had a choice to not feed these people leaving you 1 stars. I would. The ignorance is unreal with them. Keep doing what you're doing. The yard looks amazing from I-80 and I didn't smell anything 😉

I love how in the photos they have for their business they dont show pictures of the deplorable conditions they have their cows living it. They have 100s of cows living in small pins with no shade, no grass, mounds of feces that they walk around in, the ground is saturated! Not to mention the smell!! Its so depressing to see how inhumane this place is! One star is one too many for this place!

Northwest Cattle give your cows green pastures. I am positive this will improve your profit margins by 10 fold. Many will boycott you, your product, and any of your partners.This place purely shows the country how never to treat cattle. No wonder Vegetarians chose not to eat meat. Who wouldn’t after see this place from the highway.Your practices and how you treat cows and the land grieves our creator and creation. I pray you change your practices before unforeseen laws of natural do it forall us.

Drove by on a cross-country trip on I-80. Unbelievable conditions and smell. This was in Mid-March. I can only imagine what it's like in August! Definitely the low-point of our trip and a huge black-eye for Nebraska! Absolutely disgusting.

We drive by every year to go hunting in Wyoming.. we always look forward to passing this place.. people just don't understand what farming and ranching is about.. I'm sure most of these rude comments are people who live in the city and have never had to grow livestock to survive... looking forward to stopping sometime... thanks for feeding AMERICA

This place should have been shut down a long time ago because this a place with no regard for the lives of their cattle. The conditions are horrific, cattle packed together, no shade, with feces covering the whole property. Purely disgusting behavior by those who run this facility.

It's unfortunate I have to choose the 1 star because this place isn't deserving of any rating let alone be able to operate as a business. The smell and conditions are highly offensive to travelers, the environment, and community. I am disgusted this place isn't held to any board of standards or humane ethical practices. This area deserves to be petitioned to be shut down.

This place is a concentration camp (please forgive me for the tragic reference to the brutality committed in WWII) for cattle! The highway reeks of death & disease! The cattle are fenced outside in the heat & elements to waddle around in their own waste!Those poor creatures need to be relocated to about 40 farms that actually care for their livestock.

Great people to do business with. Fast and easy in and out hauling corn in. Polite and friendly when hauling cattle on or out. Will definitely continue doing business with them.
