I have always had excellent experiences with all of the people at American Family Insurance. They actually make you feel as if you are part of their family. The staff are knowledgeable about all services they provide and incredibly friendly. I usually tie them up too long talking but they never make me feel rushed. It’s an enjoyable experience and puts a smile on my face everytime. If there was a way to give more stars I would.

I tend to take care of everything myself online, but insurance can be confusing so it's always nice to have the option to talk to helpful people that you are confident they know what they are talking about. I recently changed all my insurance coverages over to AmFam, the Spencer Agency, and found out I was paying $1,500 more on annual homeowners with Farm Bureau and $300 more annually for auto insurance with Progressive as an Emerald, and paying more on our travel trailer when Progressive touts the lowest coverage out there and it is not. This office is always very helpful with questions about anything.

The absolute laziest customer service I have ever encountered. Can you say small minded rude staff? They sure can show you. I have done business with them for 7 years, unfortunately. My 1st interaction with them was that they skipped out early and closed the office when I had an appointment with them. 2nd interaction was when I was filing an auto claim. Apparently I called up there too many times asking for the 1-800 claims number. I was told by the older brunette, Denise Kult, that she already gave it to me several times. When I explained I'm the customer and it's her job to help me she put me on hold for over 15 minutes. So I drove over to the office, while on hold, and saw her hanging out with the front desk lady, Stacy Lee, purposely avoiding my call on hold. I'm not the type to hang up. I marched into her office and demanded she help me with the claims number. Ever since then I have had my Husband deal with their terrible customer service. 7 years later I try to separate my insurnace policy from my Husband so we can pay separately and they denied. Saying they had done it in the past and it was too much work! Same game, when I call they ignore my phone calls. I go to the office and all of them are standing around. They run back to their offices when I enter for Stacy to start off that she doesn't want to be in the middle of anything. She never called me back like she said she would. I spoke to their new insurance agent, Freddy, who did the same thing. I don't know what they are doing all day over there, but no one is holding them accountable for their client service. Especially in today's economy when rates have gone through the roof at American Family. You would think someone would have the courtesy to try and be helpful. If not for the client then for their own job security. Absolutely terrible place to invest your money. Claims are paid out cheap and customer service sucks. Hope this helps. : )
