It is pretty nice for a dollar store, has a variety (for a small town) and generally is very clean, but they have a fair bit of issues. For one, it is rare to see two registers open and they seem to struggle keeping inventory. Additionally, some of the items almost seem overpriced. Almost like in some departments they're overcharging due to the fact that there's no competition in a small town to their customer base. If you have the time I would run down to Bassett's Dollar General or Valentine's Dollar Tree/Family Dollar stores as they seem to do a better job keeping their shelves stocked, registers open, and lines moving. Also, Dollar Tree/Family Dollar doesn't charge egregious prices for things in the crafts section.

Cleaner and more organized than most DG stores I've been to, unfortunately you will wait for staff to come check you out. Staff are difficult to find and are not usually very friendly. Customer service would get them zero stars if not for the store's cleanliness.

This is the absolute most disgusting Dollar General you will ever go in. they can’t keep employees therefore with no one in line you will wait 20 minutes for someone to check you out, the shelves are never stocked, it always smells, and is always filthy dirty, the AC never works this is obviously a company that does not care about its employees, or its neighborhood, this is an absolutely beautiful town where everyone still waves at each other, in my opinion, and so many others it’s a definite disgrace to have in this town.

I find that their products are smaller packages than what you find in a grocery store. And since products are very cheaply made and not long-lasting. On the plus side, I like that you can find items that are different than the usual ones offered elsewhere.

Went to the New store in Thedford. What a difference from Valentine!! It's a different set-up you can move around easily the registers are set up better for checkout and getting in and out of the store!! Wish I could go to that store all the time.

Please just keep like one person around the front. There have been times where other customers and myself and to hunt down somewhere to check us out. Friendly staff just not a fan hide and seek.
