The rooms were ok.they were comfortable and cozy,the best part is the location. On the river in Montana in the mountains what more do you want well ok attached to the hotel is a country store that sells odds and ends and what I've seen alot of people coming in for was there ice cream .there is a boat dock down by the river in back of the hotel along with sitting area and grills,across the street is another country store for your food and gas/ fuel,oh and the boat slip is just down the road.All in all nice place to relax and escape the city and hustl.

A year ago there food was amazing, I'm not sure what happened! The service was less then 2 star. The shrimp were the size of a salad shrimp and way over cooked. Last year the shrimp were cooked perfect and 5 were enough to fill you up. The vegetables were great. This year it was canned corn. The price remained the same but the quality of the food is at best very poor as was the service. The only good thing I have to say is they paid for my meal because I put 10 dollars in a keno machine and cashed for 140. I will never eat here again!

Food was great. Good choice if you don't want to drive all the way to a bigger town. We had the sampler platter, chicken fried steak with twice baked potatoes and a huckleberry martini. Everything was good but the martini. It tasted like cleaning supplies. Will be returning for food only.

Awesome little place, and the one staff member I met was great, all though I don't remember her name she was young blonde and absolutely great to deal with. I was Pleasantly surprised with the room and how cool it was, the only problem I had was there was absolutely no way to turn on the shower at least not that I could find. I will definitely stay here again when in the area, and by the way great little town....

After driving 8.5 hrs on a June day on a 3 week planned journey across a couple of states this motel (prebooked and preplanned) was suppose to be a 2 day rest stop on the way to the next destination. We pulled in around 8 in the evening and were greeted by a friendly woman in the store. She gave us our key and we were on our way to rest...or so we thought. After being in the car all day I really needed to go the bathroom and that was my first stop in the room. The toilet seat looked like it had not been cleaned recently. Hmmm...I thought. I decided to take a look around. See the attached pictures: large crumbs on the floor, hair in the bathtub, yucky stuff in the sink, sheets that were stained, used towel under sink. This wasn't an instance of a person forgetting to clean something. They cleaned nothing.I went to the front desk and expressed my concerns. She was very helpful and offered to let us switch rooms which actually required two rooms to house the four of us. The first room was fine but upon viewing the second room with it's HUGE hairball in the shower (sorry, I didn't get a picture of this) I declined. Before you question why we were even considering staying here still, it was late and there is literally not another place to stay in this remote area and certainly not with two dogs in tow. I asked for some cleaning supplies and ended up cleaning the original room and bathroom myself. As for clean sheets or additional sheets and pillow covers none were available since 'housekeeping' had gone home. We decided to sleep in our sleeping bags. Thank god, we had those along. She told me to come in and talk to the manager in the morning.In the morning the manager was willing to comp the two nights and apologized profusely. While this was a nice gesture it still doesn't change the fact that I had to clean the room upon arrival and wasn't offered another cleaning. My husband felt guilty since we stayed two nights and ended up giving them around $100 bucks. We did see housekeeping staff on the premises.On the bright side this motel has a nice lawn area with seating along the river. As you can see from the pics it is very picturesque. I don't like giving such a bad review but I don't want anyone else to experience this.

We've been visiting Trout Creek and eating at Lakeside Restaurant for the past several years. The food and service had been good each time we had a meal there. Unfortunately, this summer we were quite unsatisfied. The Waitresses are doing the best they can when covering for a no-show, but often there is not enough staff to service the patrons and waiting for service - greeting, menu, water - has gotten old. When our food is served the quality is inconsistent. You can order the same meal two days in a row and it's different each time. It's not uncommon for patrons to sit and visit over a cup of coffee after finishing their meal, but the coffee shouldn't stop coming the moment they finish eating. Overall, great atmosphere, but they need to be more consistent on their meals and have enough staff to provide good customer service.

Restaurant @ the Lakeside has great atmosphere overlooking the lake, patio seating also, in park like atmosphere on lake. Food & drinks are very good. Little gift shop has unique items & sells fishing licenses. Dock below restaurant allows for boating access/dock & dine. Very enjoyable!!!

We've been here several times before. It's laid back and friendly. Has a couple spots with hook ups for RVs (although you are close to each other). Has motel style rooms on up to family sized cabins. Dog friendly. Thompson Falls is with in a half hour drive. The Noxon dam is cool to visit if you're into that. And the Blue Slide road on the far side of the lake is a scenic drive. We like the area!

I live locally so I cannot comment on the motel, but the restaurant is nice. Burgers are good, and sweet potato fries excellent. The gift shop is also a nice place to browse through. Great huckleberry shakes in the back.

I have stayed here as my second home for three years now. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is fantastic, and John and Julie and staff will go out of their way to help. Not to mention Trout Creek is the hidden gem of Montana! Cell service is limited so disconnect before you get there and enjoy the peace and solitude of an awesome place.

Went to the restaurant on Saturday 7/20 , not one person on staff acknowledged our existence. No one said "Hello" or "We will be with you in a few". Plenty of wait staff walked around the table we were at cleaning tables, waiting on other patrons. After about 20 minutes of being ignored we left. This isn't the first time we have experienced this type of treatment at this establishment however it will definitely be the last. They will not get a third chance to have my business.

The staff was fantastic, the scenery was amazing and the rooms were perfect for a weekend escape. If you’re complaining about the internet, then you’re at his place for the wrong reasons. Get outside and enjoy nature?

Great ambiance, beautiful scenic views. So nice to sit by their campfire or the water and enjoy an adult beverage! Rooms are okay, nothing special, but you don't go to Trout Creek to stay in the hotel room!

Cute, comfortable rooms but difficult to sleep (very thin walls) and very slow Wifi in the rooms (2 mbps) compared to the restaurant (30 mbps). Very friendly front desk staff, but slow restaurant service. Restaurant and casino on site caters to lots of traffic. River access and a very nice grassy area and patio!

A newer bar in the Trout Creek area that has a nice bar setup. Full liquor bar with a handful of draft choices. A decent sized menu with a good selection of food options. They do host a few sporting events through the year. If you are passing through Trout Creek, well worth the stop for a beer.

I had a great time staying at this hotel. It is clean and very convenient. The staff was very accommodating and it is right next to a restaurant & casino, gas station, grocery store, and backs up to the water! I was visiting with family and would use the dock out back for them to drop me off by boat! There is also a store attached that sells souvenirs and has an ice cream parlour! I would reccomend this hotel to anyone trying to stay in the Trout Creek area.

A place to relax with a spectacular view! The cabins are clean and the perfect atmosphere for Montana Lodging! Lakeside restaurant offers incredibly delicious homemade pizza, ribs, burgers, among other items and the only breakfast for miles! ..... Definitely recommend the huckleberry waffles, ice cream and shakes! The gift shop provides a wide variety of gifts, hats, T-shirts, water shoes, fishing gear, hiking and camping needs. Pontoon and boat rentals are available for your convenience as well as a campground and fire pit for your enjoyment by the lake. In addition, the staff is friendly and willing to help make your stay memorable!Our first experience out West was obviously fun and a Great One! We can’t wait to go again and we will stay at Lakeside Motel and Resort in Trout Creek, MT!

Beautiful loft cabin. The cabin is small but comfortable and convenient. Has everything you will need with a stocked kitchen. DirecTV for the kids. Gorgeous river views. Corn hole to play in the grass. Across the street is the local grocery store and gas station.

I have to say a huge Thank you to the owners and all the staff ! I am a local so I haven't stayed here until our home burnt completely to the ground ! John immediately reached out to us offering any help ! My family has been there this last week and have to say we felt like part of the family ! The room was clean and comfortable, we ate several meals in the restaurant that was wonderful! And in our darkest hour of greif ! Every single member of the staff went out of there way to be pleasant, even as I walked through the wonderful gift shop crying and being reminded of the things we lost ! There was a bass tournament going on last weekend which brought alittle sunshine ! Our cabin was clean and was wonderful to sit on our porch and reflect watching a set of eagles 🦅 at the river .there was not a moment I didn't see a friendly face ! The wifi was AWSOME to communicate with family . And the room we had was equipped with a kitchenette 3 beds everything we needed and way cheaper then our first nights stay at another ! And the room smelled clean . I can't say enough , Thank you and Thank God for Lakeside ResortThis is a gorgeous area with lots to do and this place makes it like a second home ! And they keep adding thing to please ! So book with Lakeside ❣️
