Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Purchased a $60 tomato press and was assured multiple times that it could be returned if I was not satisfied. Came back the very next day and was given a rude explanation that "its on my receipt, non-returnable". So I wouldn't find find out it can't be returned without purchasing it first??? I was also made out to be a liar by the owner; she said her employee told me "I'm not sure if you can return it".. absolute lie.

A fabulous store with high quality inventory. The owner is there onsite most of the time and the employees are knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. There is never a time when I am at the store when I am not asked if I need help. The other day, I went to the store to purchase something that my husband sent me to get. Jeff was just finishing up helping another and quickly made himself available to me. He was helping me, when another worker, Breanna, made herself available to help the both of us with an issue. I was able to get what I needed and to save money in the process. Thank you Jeff and Breanna. True Value, Ronan, is fortunate to have you as employees.

Went in to return an item i bought without a receipt, the clerk paged 4 times for management with no reply. The clerk did do the return, and i started shopping for other things. After paying for my new items, the manager yelled at employee, and demanded the money back for the return, and take the item back. Then turned and told clerk not to return without a receipt cause they may have stolen it. So my wife told the manager you will have to do a refund of these items if you want the money back. She did. I will not shop truevalue hardware again.

I called in to have them mix more paint for me to pick up because I hadn’t bought enough yesterday. When I got there, the man at the paint desk was incredibly rude(not The one I had spoken to on phone). After walking around looking for the man I had talked to on the phone(because they guy at the counter didn’t offer to page or find him), and having no success, I went back to the desk to see if he could find out about the paint. At that point he told me they were out and only had one gallon and wouldn’t have more in until Wednesday. I asked him if he would mix the one gallon they had and he was incredibly put out. I also said I wish they would have let me know they didn’t have it because I drove 20 miles just to pick it up. He didn’t even respond. Then I asked him if they had a five gallon size and his response was “I don’t know. Probably”. I had to then ask him if he could please check. He again was super put out even though it was only on the shelf behind him. Seriously the rudest clerk I have experienced in a store in a very long time. This doesn’t even take into consideration that the man I worked with the night before dropped the f bomb at least five times in our conversation and used a number of other crass words. Swearing doesn’t really bother me but it was super unprofessional.** so after this experience we painted almost our entire addition before we realized the color they gave us was wrong. The numbers were the same but there was definitely a difference in color. We brought the paint back tonight. They 100% agreed that the colors don’t match and that they should however the most they were willing to do is take $5 off the gallon we needed to finish the new job because they “didn’t know why they didn’t match”. It doesn’t seem right that they admit the color was wrong but are unwilling to make it right. All I wanted was a gallon to match the new color but in reality what I should have asked was for them to give me the paint to redo the entire portion that was painted with their wrong color because it doesn’t match the rest of the house. I will not be getting paint here or shopping here again which is a shame because I used to love this business.

Everyone's helpful here and the manager always seems to be around. They stock things that you probably need and it's easy to figure out where most things are, and it's kept in pretty good order - i.e. no Home Depot/Lowe's-like disaster area.Also, the parking lot is all big spaces and straight through from entrance to exit in case you have some kind of gigantic vehicle that pulls herds of things around.

Been going here for years. Though it has relatively new owners it still has that hometown hardware store feel. Great staff and they are always up to conversate with you. They also have a fabric/sewing shop a few doors down.

People are NOT wearing face masks... the young girl at the checkout said “ I’m not sick & I am not going to wear a face mask... wearing face masks are detrimental to your breathing”JUST RIDICULOUS... I will never ever go to this store again! And I will pass this on to everyone I know. I called the Health Department and they indicated that they have had other calls regarding this True Value
