Without a doubt the best experience I have had fishing. Jake was our guide and was unbelievably knowledgeable on the river. He made fishing in a new place easy. The views alone on the Yellowstone river are awesome, but I can’t give Jake enough credit for his patience and how accommodating he was.Honestly five stars isn’t enough, I can not say how amazing fishing and our guide was! Thanks again Yellowstone fly fishing and thanks again Jake!

Tucker and his guides Jackson and Gil went far beyond what was expected. They were extremely accommodating and friendly and displayed great patience with us as novice fly fisherman. I would highly recommend using this service, especially if it’s your first attempt at flyfishing Tucker the owner went far beyond with me to do it on my Disabilities and assisted me far beyond what I expected. This is the best service in Yellowstone.

Highlight of the trip! It was my first time fly fishing and it won’t be the last. We went out with Tucker and John and in our group of four caught 15+ fish. We hiked a mile to a secluded area on Firehole river and the views were amazing. Lots of wildlife and geothermal features. Again, if you come to Yellowstone, this is a must!! Thank you Tucker and John- hopefully we will see y’all again!

Get out and go fly fishing you will not regret it!! My wife and I had the best day fishing the Yellowstone River with our guide Johnathon. We had never been fly fishing before and caught 10 fish and are ready to buy our own rod and reels!! John was super enthusiastic, encouraging and patient. He made us believe we were true fisherwomen from the start. We are so happy we chose to do this and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Yellowstone area!!

I am an inexperienced fly fisherman, and my husband is fairly experienced, and we both had the best day with Tucker! We caught TONS of fish. Tucker was a patient teacher and so much fun! We will definitely be fishing with Yellowstone Fly Fishing Company again next summer!

This experience was the highlight of our trip! My son and I never fly fished before but were excited to try it. Jonathon was our guide and he was a true professional and great teacher. We learned so much in such a short period of time. Before we knew it… we were hooking and catching trout! I told Jonathon my goal was to see my son catch a fish and he made it happen. So grateful to him for making it a truly great experience for us both.

We had a blast fishing in Yellowstone with Yellowstone Fishing Co. Our guide, Johnny, knew where to fish and what flies to use. My daughter was a beginner on the fly. Johnny walked her through the basics of casting and she was catching fish in no time. I’d highly recommend them.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience with Boone. I have a fair knowledge of fly fishing but on very different waters and my girlfriend had virtually zero experience. Boone was able to teach my girlfriend enough to be able to read a river, cast and be confident to fish multiple days in Yellowstone landing many cutthroat. Boone was able to teach me a lot as well. He was able to help us break down a large intimidating river like the Yellowstone into easy to fish smaller areas. We had a very successful day and to be honest I lost track of the number of fish we landed. We only fished one day with Boone but the knowledge we gained paid off over several days of fishing. I highly recommend this trip! You only live once so book it!

Yellowstone Fly Fishing Company and Tucker Gosda, my guide and one of the owners, were the best part of my Montana trip. After three years of unsuccessful fly fishing, I hired Tucker to take me fishing on the Yellowstone River inside YNP. All I can say is, I caught a BUNCH of Yellowstone Cutthroat trout and learned SO many things about technique, it gave me a new passion for the sport. Tucker is patient, extremely knowledgeable, a fantastic teacher and funny! He made my day absolutely perfect. Learning the hows and whys of casting, different uses for various flies, all about drift, where to scout for fish....you couldn't get a more professional fly fishing guide in all of the land! He's the best! My advice? Book two trips, because once you learn from him, you're going to want to go again and catch even more fish!

If I could give my fly fishing adventure 10 stars, I would! I visited Yellowstone in August 2021 on a cross country road trip and this was my most favorite experience of the whole trip. Jake is a world-class fishing guide. From his easy to understand explanations, expert demonstrations and his enthusiasm for the sport, you are in the hands of a great teacher. Every time you catch a fish Jake is there to celebrate you, guide you through reeling the fish in & he’s on the ready to catch that guy in his net like a pro (it’s hard, trust me I tried it!). Communication was top notch. For me this is the most important aspect of a guided trip. Jonathan was excellent! Before the trip, all details were laid out so I knew what to expect. He was very flexible in pickup and drop spots as I changed a few things around. Jon is super knowlegable about the river and area. He really cares about this fishery, making sure the fish were in good shape prior to release. I'll be back.

We had the pleasure of fishing with Tucker in Yellowstone. While my husband and I are avid fly fisherman, this was our first guided trip. It did not disappoint! While the fishing started off slow, Tucker did everything in his control to make it a fantastic, enjoyable day. We ended the day with a “bang” when I successfully landed the largest cuttie of my life! My husband and I have already booked a return trip for next year. This excursion was the highlight of our trip to Yellowstone! We chose to do a half-day walk/wade trip and had Tucker and Gil as our guides. We were new to fly fishing and were taught everything we needed to know to catch some fish and we learned a lot about Yellowstone in the process. Such a great experience fishing with these guys. With the recent flooding, I didn’t think we were going to be able to do a fly fishing trip in Yellowstone. They kept in contact with us and made sure that we were able to have the best possible experience, and it was actually better than we expected! Our guides, Tucker and Johnny, knew exactly where we needed to be fishing and helped me catch my personal best fish, a 23 inch cutthroat trout! My parents, who have never been fly fishing before, were also able to get into some fish. This just goes to show how experienced and supportive these guys are. If you want to go on the fly fishing trip of a lifetime, you should definitely go with Yellowstone Fly Fishing company!

Great experience with Tucker, Gill, and Perry! We had 8 newbie fly fishermen aged 76 to 11 but these guys made it super fun all day. The best part was the look on the kids’ faces when they caught super nice Cutthroats! Beautiful scenery and the guys kept us entertained for the entire day! Highly recommend, will do again.

We booked a half a day fly fishing experience through Wild West Rafting in Gardiner, Montana. We are from the East Coast and the Mountain Area.Thomas the owner of Wild West hooked us up with PERRY from the Yellowstone Fly Fishing Company.Perry was ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR!.He was patient with refreshing my knowledge and taught my Bestie the baby basics with his gentle spirit.We ahd the best time, and Perry was the main reason the day was EPIC.Recommend

The guide, Perry, was awesome and patient in teaching fly fishing. Next time we probably will not fish in Yellowstone Park since the fishing license for the 4 hours was $40. I would much rather give as a tip to the guide.

While planning a trip to Yellowstone for my son and me, I knew that fly fishing was a “must-do” activity. I eventually booked a guided trip with Jake from Yellowstone Fly Fishing Co. and I’m so glad that I did! Jake is experienced, kind, patient, and helpful with inexperienced anglers. He also has plenty of experience to help the most advanced fishermen/women. He guided us to the perfect fishing spot, where we learned and (just as importantly) caught fish! My son and I caught 10 fish together in our very first fly-fishing experience. I’ll never use another guide in Yellowstone besides Jake. He is worth the price and more. He served us like a professional while treating us like friends. When you learn from Jake, you’ll feel like you’ve made a new friend. I’ll be recommending him to everyone that travels to Yellowstone and aspires to fish!!
