I’ve enjoyed my time at the Glacier Location (have stayed at others, as well). This location is Prime. Just minutes from the entrances to the national park with tons of fun activity. The rooms are comfy and just enough. Amazing food and even greater staff. I’ll stay here more and more and more. Highly recommend. Would choose this over a hotel. Any day.Nearby activities: Glacier National Park is just MINUTES away. I love it.

Great location, beautiful campsite and tents. I was in one with private bathroom (lovely and with Warm water) so I can not comment on the shared bathrooms. BE AWARE that nights are REALLY COLD. I was there on the last days of August. The fire oven works for about 1h before needed to refill, so it works for showering, falling asleep and waking up. But ask for the microfiber blanked. The resort offers many extra amenities to accommodate or minimize the needs. Great camping for those that do not wish to go hard on the experience. I loved it. And they give smores at night (try that) and games to borrow besides got drink 24/7 and golf cart transport to the tents if requested.Their concierge is also helpful and the on-site Cafe is good. Enjoy it!

This clamping experience is good but you really need to think about it before committing. Location excellent. Staff very helpful!Effectively in tourist season their is a good chance your below 50 at night under covers no heat. Fire stoves can not be lit with the fire ban. It is low no light atmosphere which is nice and no internet as you are in canvas tents for relaxing not to watch TV. Definitely rent the private tent with shower and toilet. The parking can be a long stroll or hilly path to your tent but the staff have golf carts and will pick u up 24x7.The cold water is at reception so bring a thernus filled to your tent or you will be making a trip. Noise is ever present even if set back the train and highway with trucks run well into the night and the noise renews early. If these short comings had a fix its priced correctly. So bottom line price was high for value but great idea. good luck. Staff were very understanding and helpful. We were very cold day 3 and had to move along.

While we had a great trip to Glacier overall, Under Canvas Glacier didn’t fully meet my expectations based on previous Under Canvas stays. There are definite positives: the site has that great Under Canvas' vibe - family friendly, with cool design in the great outdoors. The staff are very nice. There was good live music. The kids can run free and eat endless s'mores. But there were some downsides relative to a previous UC stay at Zion, which I do think it's important to mention because our tent for a family of 4 was the same price as an upscale hotel room - $750/night - so some expectations come with that.As other reviews have mentioned, the location was the biggest issue. I was expecting a tranquil setting given photos from the website and what I know of UC, but unfortunately this camp is right on a major roadway - we’re talking the noise of zooming traffic and semi’s 24/7. There’s also a train nearby and you’ve got train horns throughout the night. We were able to block out noise enough to sleep with white noise on our cell phones/iPads, but I wish this camp had been set up in a quieter place more conducive to relaxing in nature. Hard to manage that now, but the price does seem a bit high given locale.Second, I love the Under Canvas tents - they're rustic and cool at the time, but our tent here didn’t feel as clean as our tent in Zion. It wasn’t awful, but there were a number of hair + dirt balls on the floor that we had to remove ourselves with wash clothes when we arrived.Lastly, the food, wine and beer options are limited. At this price point, I do expect to have some slightly more upscale food options. But it's sort of airport style bagels, store-bought hummus, etc. They were out of all 3 of the beers we wanted and the wine selection is limited.I wish I could leave a 5 star review because I really love what Under Canvas is doing overall - and we still plan to try many more of them - but, given the price tag, I did want to share some of the flags for other travelers.

I want to love it. But noise is a REAL problem. Train horns throughout the night and highway noise 24/7. It's close to the park which is a plus. Food choices are not great. Would love higher end, healthier options for food. Kids will love it as s'mores at night a hit.Cabin was good. But ammenities light. The stove smoked us out twice after working beautifully for the first three days. All of this would be bearable if price wasn't at the level of a higher end hotel. I will try other UC properties but this one just didn't live up to the promise.Staff and service solid.

We had a great time, wonderful glamping experience. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Just know that it really is glamping- no food in tents because of bears, no electricity but available battery packs and lanterns, very warm bedding and a wood stove to keep warm. We had a tent with a bathroom which I felt was worth it but the warm water wasn’t very long lasting. There is a cafe with better than expected food for a campsite. We had plenty of cell service at the Glacier location. We will definitely try out other parks!

We had a wonderful time here. Laid back and yet professional. Our tent was clean and very comfortable. The coffee was fresh and served early, just as promised. The property is well maintained and clean from any trash, they recommend keeping food locked into cars because of the bears. Our only complaint was the traffic sounds. Planes, trains and vehicles from the highway just outside the property. We will absolutely stay at another Under Canvas location soon.

(Preface with a quick note: don't forget your vehicle registration for Glacier so you can sleep in a bit and enjoy the camp at morning. We had to be in the Glacier gates before 6am!) We really liked this experience, and it was unusual. It felt a bit like fancy summer camp, but next to a highway instead of by a lake. The grounds were fun, we loved the s'mores and fire pits everywhere. There's a food stand on location, but I'm not sure I'd call it a restaurant. The stoves take a bit it figuring out, And we smoked ourselves a bit, but it's ✨glamping✨! It's outdoorsy without being TOO outdoorsy. I ding only the location, as it's near a train and a highway instead of nestled in the woods, as I had pictured. But hands down the best thing about this place was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and Holton gave us some good advice on hikes. Would stay again!

Not what I mean for GLAmping.Maybe not my cup of tea, but this is not a GLAmping at all, just a nice camping.Tents have no electricity, water comes out of shower or faucet only constantly pressing a lever (with just one hand remaining for washing), if you arrives late in the afternoon the temperature in September is quite cold and the little stove takes more than an hour to warm the space.Obviously a stove so small keep the fire for no more than 3h, after that you can get up and fill it again in the middle of the night with wood or you can keep the cold.Bed and sheets were damp, luckily we had a sleeping bag with us.Last, but not least, every 1/2 hours a train pass just behind the camping with a loud and prolonged whistling.Above all, maybe with some bad luck, at 3.45am some alarm start to BIP inside the camp and only at 4.50 has been switched off, but... Restarting again at 5.47 and being switched off again after more than 20 minutes, restarting again after 6am, unbelievable.Very nice staff and warm welcome, but this is not a GLAmping at all. It's a camping with some furniture, which is very different.Shortly: high fee, no glamping, no electricity, no heat, no food inside the lodge (correctly, due to bear area), lot of noises, but very nature related experience, if the alarms and trains are considered part of the nature.Your choice, but I'll never get here again.

My main concert is the place itself : super dusty forest, no view, absolutely noisy spot because of the rail road. I have staid in many campgrounds and all of them were in a very beautiful location. This one is nothing to do with a beauty of nature. Absolutely Disappointed with the location.I am ready to sacrifice comfort for the sake of beautiful nature and solitude with it. Instead we got dust and noise from trains.Another problem was a shower. The system where you have to hold the string to take a shower is Ridiculous. It should be changed for sure.Rate 400$- 500$ is overpriced for what you are getting. The only positive thing we experienced were customer service. Guys from the front desk were super nice and helpful.

We had a great time at under canvas Glacier Park. Communication is excellent and efficient, the staff are warm , helpful and humble - always willing to assist in anyway. Our tent was clean and well fitted. The evening smores were the highlight - fires are lit every evening for the guests and you can relax and mix with other travelers on large comfy armchairs. There is a well stocked outdoor kitchen with four gas grills. You can prepare food or eat at the many eateries in the area. Food options on site are not too varied - there is a tasty cafe which serves granola and some pastries. Its best to buy in the local grocery store and prepare you own meals. There is complementary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cider available in the main guest tent all day and evening. A great stay. Be aware that you hear the train passing at night, but they give free ear plugs and then you hardly hear a thing.

Under Canvas Glacier has many benefits, and some drawbacks. I will start with the positives. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. They seem so happy to be there and were very accommodating. The cafe and lobby tent were super convenient to grab small items, snacks, games, etc. The lobby tent was inviting and cozy. The grill area was awesome! The site offers cooking utensil, spices, condiments, plates and disposable cutlery. We enjoyed cooking nightly. The bathrooms had plenty of shampoo, conditioner and body wash, there was no need to bring your own. The drive to the park is about 7 minutes, which is awesome! We also had phone reception here, while most of the other areas near West Glacier had zero bars.If you choose to book here, you have to keep in mind, this is still camping and not a hotel. The tents have been exposed to the elements, and the gravel can be dusty. We had no issues with the cleanliness of this site. It is an awesome way to camp with many of the modern hotel conveniences available. The place may not have 100% of the typical amenities a hotel does, but they really do have the essentials.Unfortunately our stay did have some drawbacks. The train noise is the biggest complaint, we booked four nights and actually checked out on night 3 to go to a hotel. Despite earplugs and the fan, the horn kept us up, we really needed to get a good night’s sleep, and unfortunately we didn’t feel we could here. We understand this is a camping experience, but that factor really soured the stay. The highway noise for us wasn’t bothersome. The other minor inconveniences were that the “king” bed was two XL twins slapped together on an I’ll fitting bed frame. The bed was noisy and it kept sliding around). We had some trouble with our fireplace staying lit, so one of us had to keep adding wood throughout the night. We fully understood this was a glamping experience. Perhaps we would be willing to try it again at a different location, but if we come back to Glacier, we will definitely stay in a hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay for three nights. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Alyssa, the yoga instructor, was a delight! The noise wasn’t too bad for us (but we are urban dwellers so road noise is not really a big deal). Our kids loved hanging out in their own tent. It did get cold overnight so I would have liked to have used the in-room heating but we were not given that option. The beds were insanely comfortable. The communal fires allowed us to meet some wonderful folks from around the country (picture below). The two things I would change is allowing Wifi in the lobby. The cellular coverage all over MT was so spotty it would have been nice to come back to the site to clear some emails and messages. And finally, while I understand there are not food options at the site, a carafe of coffee on the front steps of our tent in the morning would have been amazing. Instead, we had to amble in the morning, bleary-eyed and cold, to the lobby to get some heat and caffeine. But overall, it was a great stay.

Under Canvas Glacier was GORGEOUS! And the knowledge and expertise of the staff really made our whole trip. They gave us excellent recommendations that came from their own personal experiences. You can tell all the staff loves their job and that really makes a difference! Highly recommend.Rooms: The tents are incredible! We had been on a long camping/road trip and Under Canvas Glacier was our light at the end of the tunnel. It has the same rugged outdoorsy camping vibe but also the luxury of a hot shower and a comfy bed. The wood burning stove in the tent was the cherry on top.Nearby activities: I mean - it’s Glacier National Park, one of the most beautiful areas on the continent. Plus all the staff seemed to have a personal and positive experience with the nearby trails and activities which made us excited to try!Safety: I felt safe in the campsite because of the structure of each tent as well as how informed and sincere the staff was about educating me and every other guest about the importance of safe camping practices.Food & drinks: I was hesitant about the cafe at first but it exceeded every expectation. It is reasonably priced and the food was delicious!!!

They have done an amazing job! Loved the canvas tents. Super comfortable! Still feel outdoorsy but also very comfortable. The fire pits were great and they provide the s'mores for you to have. The grills and Cornhole area is nice and there was plenty of room.Friendly service and they were super helpful and welcoming.

This location is strange. The sound of cars, trucks and trains is CONSTANT - not “occasional”. Multiple train horns throughout the night. Some review said once? Nope like ten times. Tents are right next to each other with little privacy. Montana is such a beautiful place but this location doesn’t seem to take any advantage of it. The site is cramped and the view from you tent is … another tent! Is there nowhere else in this state with millions of beautiful empty acres that Under Canvass could have pitched its tents? Maybe not next to Glacier I guess. I suppose this all could be fine if you’re just headed into Glacier and can wait for the natural beauty. It is a comfortable bed, nice linens and big supply of games. But there’s no “extraordinary landscape” as referenced on the website. You can see the highway and it reminds you it’s there night and day.

Alex and the whole staff were extremely nice and accommodating. There were some activities for the kids, smore kits for the fires pits, and the tents were fantastic. This review comes at the end of a 7 day cross country drive with 3 kids so we were already tired and probably not super easy to please but they did it. I could not have asked for a better experience. Also the road and train noise was not that bad. We will be looking to visit other Under Canvas areas on future trips!

We adored this place and will definitely be back. We went very early in the season so there were a couple of small snafus (last-minute tent change, cold only in the shower), but they resolved everything quickly and with a cheerful attitude. A nice combo of “out in nature” with comfortable amenities. Bed was so comfy and warm too.

I loved my one night stay here. I didn’t hear the train or highway at all once I turned on the fan they supplied. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE and tent was warm despite it being chilly outside. Only downside is they could have supplied more amenities — I paid $560 for my deluxe tent, and it was lacking a few things most glamping spots I’ve stayed at offer such as body lotion, campfire snacks, etc.

This was our first time at this location. We previously have stayed at the Zion location. The glacier location is not good at all in terms of peacefulness/quietness, especially compared to the Zion location. Highway 2 is very loud and at 530 AM we were woken up by the dumpster pick up that was very close to our tent and extremely loud. They should definitely adjust the trash pickup time to later in the day. Not much to do about the highway noise, just maybe take into consideration for future locations to not be off a busy highway. The room, services, and food were all great and clean, but this location, especially compared to the Zion location is not a spot for quietness. Of course it’s close to the park but that’s the only benefit of its location.

This place is ideal for anyone looking for a comfortable camping experience that's different from the norm. The location is right outside the park so it's easily accessible if you have a car. The tents are tucked away in the trees allowing for a get-away experience. Just keep in mind, you are still camping in the elements! They have a cooking area with games to entertain kids while you cook up some gourmet camp food 😋 Plus, they have fire pits, smore ingredients and a food stand for a quick breakfast and coffee. What makes this place though is the staff! Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, resolution oriented, and stoked on life. Thanks for a lovely experience week after week UC crew!Rooms: The rooms contain the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and running water. Do note that the showers are pull showers but work well. Remember, you're still camping! Nearby activities: Obviously Glacier National Park is right next door but the other direction is Hungry Horse reservoir, a lovely off the beaten path spot worth checking out. Wi-fi: I have sprint/T-Mobile and had 0 service the whole time while staying there and there is no wifi. The point is to disconnect and reconnect with nature and loved ones 😊Noteworthy details: Right next door is a general store with limited items in case you need anything. Food is rather limited to restaurants but if you head west towards Corem, there is a small grocery store.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, well maintained ground, super clean bathrooms. I wish they had a cafe like other Under Canvas locations, but the grilling area was very nicely done. Nightly s'mores on the fire pit, activities, and lawn games are fun after long days in the park. They also have an electric fence surrounding the property, so bears are far less of a concern than other locations. We didn't even hear our neighbors, so seemed like there was plenty of space between tents.

I paid $800.00 per night for 7 family members including children. 4 of us had comfortable beds. 3 of the members had a plain cot with 1 inch pad and the fold out couch , which was just springs covered in fabric. I do have to say the bathroom with shower was nice. We ate in our car a few times because you cannot have food anywhere near your tent . There is a designated area to eat. For over 50 sites there are 4 picnic tables. So be prepared. A lot of the sights you cannot drive to and maybe you can get a lift to your sight with your luggage and maybe you can't depends who you get running the carts. Most of the help is very helpful and nice and the tents were clean. So for that part of it I would give 4 stars. We live in Montana and this is not a good value. Oh and they allow pets, which is fine, but the tent next to us the dog barked everything a distant firework went off so from 10 to 2am we heard the dog bark(yes I felt sorry for dog). . We were towards back and could still hear cars clearly on highway and the train on top of it all. Remember I paid $800.00. We had to laugh after the experience. Never again.

Very cute place! Staff was friendly and helpful. Our tent was clean, the bed was big and comfortable, and the shared bathroom was well kept. We saw staff there regularly checking on linens and removing trash. There’s free coffee and refillable water bottles for guests. In the evenings they have grills and an outdoor dining area, fire pits and free s’mores, and lawn games. Decent Verizon cell service for the area. Only bummer is those trains are LOUD. Local government needs to work with the railroad to get those 3 am horn blows under control. I heard it through my ear plugs, but if you’re a heavy sleeper you should be fine.

I am so glad I did not read through the bad reviews before coming because I would have missed out!!!Yes, you can hear the highway but that is easy to discover beforehand with a quick search of the location of this place! The upside of being next to the road is the convenience of being so close to the entrance of the park!We loved our Deluxe Tent, and were provided with plenty of towels, blankets, and firewood. The staff holds COVID friendly activities every night along with complimentary s’mores, hot chocolate, and popcorn! The staff was the best and gave me and my husband a bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon! If you’re like my husband and I and sometimes need some space for the restroom, you can use the communal ones which are extremely nice!10/10 would recommend!

Second time staying at an Under Canvas location. This one did not disappoint! Great location, and good layout. Yes the tents are all within eyesight, but they did a good job of making the layout seem more remote. Staff was more than helpful upon arrival and never made us feel embarrassed for asking for more fire starters when we couldn’t get our fire going. Great coffee as well!
