The place is way too hot to be housing animals. Their fish tanks are disgusting and horribly mislabeled. They don't even know what they are selling.Most upset about their chameleon. They are not easy reptiles and should only be sold by people who can teach the buyer how to care for them. They NEED humidity. To keep a chameleon under a heat lamp on dry substrate with zero humidity is cruel and it's going to die. They are incredibly fragile.The chinchilla was also much too hot as they need cool environments looks ill.

This was our first time here to buy a parakeet and we were very welcomed. She gave me alot of useful information and everything I needed since I've never owned one before. She gave me some discounts also! Will for sure come back! So much better than big brand stores that don't care about the animals they have.

A nice little store. The animals are all well cared for and clean.We only went to look around. My friend bought a very cute loving ferret. They have the usual animals and some unique ones as well. I will be going back.

She's the sweetest lady ever and very educated on the pets. Always has my Dubai roaches, crickets, rats and mice for my babies!! Prices are better than other store in town.

Love going in here to grab some worms for my leopard gecko. I even called one night cause something wasn't right with Galinda (the gecko) and was given super helpful information.

great place, has the best bunny food. My rabbit will only eat the food from here and ever since his fur has been so soft!!! u get so much for what u pay for !!! The old lady in there is so sweet and always helps out

First off please read all reviews before going here.Secondly, the staff do not seem adequately trained and I now understand why.A few weeks ago I was in need of a part-time job. I was able to get an interview. When I walked in the store it was VERY hot and the strong smell of ammonia made my eyes water. It was also dirty in there and not very organized. I was talked to by someone who seemed to just be a normal worker and not a the owner or manager. I was directly asked if I had children. I did say that I did. I was then told that they do not hire people with children because they are unreliable and do not have open availability.I do want to mention that I am not mad that I did not get the job there. I did find a job elsewhere. Just found this conversation odd and wanted other people who apply here in the future to know my experience. Also that it is against discrimination laws. It was reported to the labor board.

I am new to the area so I checked out this local pet shop to get supplies for my two ferrets. I asked the lady working for paper litter and she brought me to bedding. I asked her if she had paper pellet litter and she said that the paper bedding will work. I tried to explain to her that the paper can get in ferrets noses and is not actually recommended by professionals for ferrets. After explaining this she said that she uses clay cat litter for her ferrets... I was so surprised... I have owned ferrets for years and have done much research. All ferret literature and experts would confirm that clay litter is extremely harmful for their respiratory systems. The lady working contributed to argue with me. I simply told her that she should do more research before recommending products to their customers. NEVER again will I shop here after this terrible customer service. This business needs to hire people who are knowledgeable about the animals they are selling products for.

Great place love the lady who runs it. She is super knowledgeable and is willing to take the time to discuss any issues you have with your pets. Her prices are very fair and the rats I have got from her for pets or breeding are in excellent condition and you can tell she handles them as they have very nice dispositions. She's the only place I would purchase them from.

Pet Lover's Lane has been around for years. Nancy, the owner, has a lifetime of knowledge she is willing to share with you. She cares about the animals' well being and wants to make sure that people who purchase pets know what they are getting into. Nancy can be very direct which might come off as rude to some, but she knows what she is talking about. The store is a little dusty and maybe a bit crowded, but it gives it the small town local feel. The shop cat is super friendly too and will jump on the checkout counter. I've noticed there is a lot of turnover when it comes to support staff, I hope she finds some long term knowledgeable help soon. Anyway, Nancy and her shop have always done right by me and she has taught me a lot about my rabbits. She will also order supplies for you if it isn't part of the usual inventory. Also, not a HUGE selection in general, but if you have exotics in Warrensburg this is a good place to get information if nothing else.

Going in yesterday after passing the first set of door I was hit with an extremely unpleasant smell, I proceeded anyways because I never seem to catch them open and the name caught me. I expected to have atleast some things. Unfortunately I was met with boxes blocking most of the store extremely bare shelf. Fish tanks that looked like they have never been cleaned. By the time I got the the "bird area" if you can call it that. The owner popped out and proceeded to stand over me. The only communication was saying hello, then staring and following me around the small area that wasn't filled with boxes. I will stick with country pet and pond than ever try to go here again.

Sometimes there is a wait because she's the only one there to help customers, but she knows her stuff and genuinely cares about the animals. She can be abrupt at times, but usually if you're polite and respect her time, she's fine. Loyalty and appreciation mean a lot to her, so if you come in and ask a bunch of questions but don't buy anything, she gets frustrated wasting her time because those people end up going to Petsmart or chain stores. She's nice when you get to know her as long as you treat her with respect.

We came in Saturday right before they closed and looked at getting a hamster. Very friendly service, very helpful. We left as they closed, deciding on coming back Monday.Monday we come in an hour after they open, and a new lady tells us they sold all the dwarf hamsters (6) Friday afternoon (we were their last customers that day). She came off as unapologetic. Sad to not be able to support local business.

I got 4 out of my 7 pets from there and I love it there the workers are nice. There are a few changes I would make to the store 1: Make it more organized. 2: I was informed that the hamster that i bought was a pregnant female nope it was a male, so i would make sure you sex them better. and 3: I would set more animals out so people can see them. Other then those changes the store is great.

Great local business who are careful about the foods and treats they stock for several different kinds of pets. Their rodents and birds are also well socialized to human handling. They aren't a large enough location to carry everything you might want but they cover all the basics and can make good recommendations if you're looking for something they don't carry.

I was in pet lovers Lane and Miss Nancy was so very nice and very knowledgeable when it came to my bearded dragon. She informed me on everything I need to know to keep my bearded dragon well fed and alive. I would recommend everybody to visit Nancy at pet lovers lane for all your animal needs!

This is a nice little shop with a friendly owner. I was able to find the wheat grass kit for my cat that I was looking for. I also found several little cat toys that my cat loves. I don't love that it's closed on Thursdays, but that is just specific to my schedule.

Best place to get feeder bugs for reptiles. Clean store with knowledgeable staff. Wide variety of pet supplies and exceptional variety of animals available (all well-cared for). I drive 40 miles to come here. Love this place!

They had a terrible selection of cat supplies and only one brand of cat food. Neither of the two workers I saw in the shop greeted me or acknowledged me. The shop was an absolute wreck and smelt terrible! There was a sign on the door that read “Out for lunch. Back at 1:10pm.” It was at least 1:20 pm before someone showed up. I’ll also add that this was the third time I tried to visit the store- the first two times, it was closed even though I came during their opperating hours.

The staff are very friendly. However, they did come off pretty strong at first when telling me and my wife about the new Covid-19 procedures. Which is understandable, and I commend them for it. Its a serious issue and and they're handling it way better than most other businesses I've been to. WEAR A MASK IF YOU COME HERE.

I grew up in warrensburg and loved this place growing up, but now that i visit it as an adult it's terrible. the leopard geckos there are sick and deformed but they are still buying them in that condition and selling them for a healthy price. the drive up to the city is worth it, or ask and buy online but don't go here. we also bought a heating bulb from them and it immediately burnt out when we plugged it in, we shrugged and called the store, the lady who we just saw/checked us out proceeded to decline a refund or a replacement (nearly every store in the city will replace a burnt bulb within a span of 2 weeks) she also said people 'like us' are the reason the business is going under and spreading horrible things about the store... well if the shoes fit. in short if you love your animals DO NOT go here.

Variety of products that we couldn't find at other shops. Fish tanks had a lot of algae. Poor baby ferret was too young for adoption (not tamed yet) and looked unhealthy. Dirty cages. Staff seemed to barely tolerate questions or conversation.

Best little home town petshop ever. They are honest, will help you learn, and refuse to sell to people who buy on a whim. Some products are pricey compaired to Walmart, but, they are much better quality and worth it. Keep your receipt and if you have issues, they are quick to see to it. Been shopping here for years now.

Not a wide variety of pets but always happy to accommodate you. Didn't use to carry things I needed for my pets but does now I asked for them. Lovely friendly lady. Like visiting with her about the pets her's and my own. Very helpful ☺️

This is my favorite pet shop in the area, I have an obsession with bubble eye goldfish which are hard to find and no one else wanted to order. This place has ordered me fish multiple times and the lady is always super sweet, their the only pet shop I go to now since they were the only ones willing to get my exotic goldfish!

They are expensive. They dont regularly clean some of the animal tanks,which is probably the reason why their birds, rats, and rabbits are so sick. They also sold me a bloated betta fish. The fish wasn't a big deal to me. The biggest problem I have woth this store is that they tried to sell me a deformed python for $190!!! Also they dont gove ANY refunds. Honestly, if you want a bigger bang for your buck go to a different pet store.
