I placed an order online for home delivery, I got a sample box of four different types of jerky. The jerky is really good, really good, the price was stupid $60 for four small samples of jerky delivered to my house. Every time I'm in the area they are closed, I go there once a week in the evening, unfortunately they close way too early to actually walk in and buy something.Again the jerky is really good but I will never order another sample box for $60 when you get five pieces of jerky in each package, not worth the price.

This was my first time in but not my first time enjoying their product. The jerky is superb. My personal favorite is the ghost pepper beef jerky. I can't get enough.

I really like this place! They have an amazing selection of meats and cheeses. They even have a grill/butcher box, which you can mix and match different flavors. This trip I went in there for some bacon. They had a nice selection and it was on sale. It wasn't super fatty either. It was delicious. They also carried incurred bacon for those that are looking for no nitrates in there meat. The staff was happy to show me around and explained what they offer. They were super friendly and helpful. Definitely stop by and check out Alewels! Love supporting local!

The summer sausages are so good. They will slice them too. Check out the cheeses and meat special packs they offer. They also have good sandwiches and we always stop in to get stuff for Chiefs GameDay.

We live in New Jersey but ordered our Christmas smoked ham from Alewel via goldbelly.com and wow - never again am I buying a supermarket ham for special meals. This was the best looking and tasting ham of my life. Thank you!

Alewel's stands on its own just as a butcher and a meats provider. Their reputation there is without question already. I'm here to talk about these unbelievable hot sandwiches that they do between 11-2.The Reuben is the best in town and it's not even close. Smoky, tender corned beef, great sauerkraut, great rye. Thousand island, although I prefer Russian. Doesn't matter though, the sandwich is incredible.The burnt ends? They defy description by mortal tongues. I was unable to speak while I ate my half. Delicate where it needs to be, crisp and chewy in the others. Great sauce. Incredible sandwiches.This is THE lunch spot in town, but it seems like people just haven't figured it out yet. Ask for a sample of sweet bologna while you wait for them to make your sandwich. It'll change you.

We don't buy grocery store meat anymore. Great selection of meats. I've been taking my deer meat there for almost 30 years. Best summer sausage in the state.

Took my boneless deer meat up here to be processed and they told me it would be up to 3 months to get my meat back. So I packed up my 28 pounds of meat and left. I want my meat back in 2 weeks not 3 months. That's crazy!

The best brats I’ve ever eaten! Alewel’s Country Meats has truly outstanding meat. Wide variety of items on the menu at reasonable prices- my favorites include apple brats, beef jerky and the beef log snack sticks. Their beef and cheese summer sausage is definitely a crowd pleaser at football tailgates. Great service, as well as very friendly and knowledgeable employees. Don’t hesitate to go check out Alewel’s fresh, quality meats!

I went in there to just buy one item. While I was in there I saw that they had a new product. Bacon wrapped sausage. I bought it along with the cheese curds, bacon and a rib eye.Here we are less than a week later and hubby went back today and bought another ribeye, more bacon wrapped sausage and more bacon and cheese curds.Looks like one of us is going back tomorrow to buy more bacon wrapped sausage. This place is awesome!

I've never been to a neat butcher shop before. This place is genuinely neat. They offer package deals, they're competitively priced, they're friendly, the store is spotless. We went their just after shopping at Walmart, and it was a powerfully different, positive experience. They literally sweetened the deal by giving me a jar of caramel.

I want to shop here but unfortunately most of their cuts are 2x market value. I end up driving to Westport to get tenderloins for $15/10oz that cook really well. I could see these prices being reasonable IF they were selling grass fed, but not for corn fed mass market beef.

Super fresh and great range of products at an affordable price point. My favorite is the jalapeno bacon, and my boyfriend is a huge fan of Alewel's jerky and prime rib. Plus they are the nicest people. Highly recommended!

I absolutely love this place. I'm so upset i lived in Warrensburg for three years before i finally visited! However, I've been a very satisfied customer for the last four years. They consistently have the best meats (of all varieties) and are very reasonable in regard to pricing. They will even cut steaks to your own specifications right in front of you. Their ribeyes LOOK like ribeyes, unlike most grocery stores where the only way to differentiate cuts is via the sticker. My only problem is that the hours make them a little hard to get to during the work week, but that's more of a 'me' problem. Given the choice, I'd choose Alwel's meats over those of any other store in the region.

The best meat shop in Missouri! We were shown all the Christmas hams and given the lowdown on what would be best for our needs since we were doing something a little different this year. Our ham last year was soooo good we had to come back. Of course we had to get some of our family favorite meat sticks and Alewel branded beef jerky. In addition, my husband says the lunch sandwiches are spot on! Go to Alewel's, get good meat, and support a local business!

If you want a GREAT steak they have it. I have been tast testing their meats for years. They are more expensive than Walmart but oh so much more tender and flavorful. Their ribeye steaks only need salt and pepper. Doesn't need fancy seasoning, tenderizer or steak sauce. That's a great steak in my book! Also, they have the very best summer sausage I have ever had (my personal favorite is the one with cheese and jalapeno). Their jerky won 1st place in Southern Living Magazine. They also have a deli case, lots of home cured sausages, bacon, hams, etc. smoked or regular pork chops, james, jellies, pickles and much more. What a little treasure and so conveniently located south of Walmart. Worth a trip!!!!

So, I don't know if my experience was just extraordinary or I caught them on a bad day... two or three trips in a row but I've never left here fully satisfied. I've been told multiple times that they cant or wont do a special cut for me, and that the only fresh meats they have are the cuts that have been in the chilled display counter for who knows how many hours. On one occasion I went into the store looking to purchase two Porterhouse steaks and some sirloin for my birthday dinner and was told that the T-bones in the case were the only thing similar to a porterhouse they had, and that no they would not be able to cut me a porterhouse. I ended up leaving with a dry aged ribeye that was admittedly very good. On my most recent trip I was looking for Tri-tip or flat iron steak deboned and cut into strips for Stir Fry, but I was informed that the only Tri-tip or flat iron they had was frozen, and that again they would not cut it for me.Again, I do not know if my experiences were outliers or if I am expecting too much of the highest rated butcher shop nearby, but I have sadly been disappointed.

Alewel's Country Meats - all I can say is, FANTASTIC! Between their customer service, catering and products available, this establishment is top notch. I am not sure if there is such a thing as "fancy meats," but I can tell you, that is what Alewel's offers. If ever hosting a BBQ and want to WOW your guest with some great steaks, this is the place to purchase them. Personal favorite - beef logs. They will change your life, trust me. SHOP LOCAL.
