I can't understand why anyone would give this place anything but 5 stars. My family lives an hour and a half away from this gas station, but it is the only gas station we look forward to visiting. We started using this station in 2010. It became special to us around our oldest child's 8th birthday. We were camping nearby at William R. Logan conservation area. It is a primitive camp site where you camp, hunt, fish, and have use of a firing range. I had asked my son what he wanted extra for his birthday if he did a very hard task while our family was there camping. Many grown men wouldn't have done it. Anything that we could afford was what we told him. He wanted a Hunts Brothers pizza from this Conoco. Nothing else. We could easily eat at a decent sit-down place off of US 61 or even go 15 minutes south to more expensive restaurants in Troy, or just got him something nice when we got home. No, he wanted one of these pizzas. He is now stationed in Japan, but we still go there every time we go to Wiiliam R. Logan or when we are out this way. It's now just my wife, our two daughters, and sometimes my oldest daughter's boyfriend. The staff has changed over the years, but they've always been like family, and the local population that also frequent this station are also the friendliest. We also buy gas there and make purchases based on our activities in Silex or at William R. Logan. This station will always be close to our family's heart.

Village gas station. The pumps are kind of crowded due to their space and the parking. People from this village park just about anywhere they feel like. It's not too bad most of the time. Selection inside is what you'd expect from a small village. No hot food, but that was expected. The place wasn't dirty, but felt crowded or cluttered even with nobody else inside. The bathroom was very clean, which is a surprise. Most small town gas stations in Missouri have bathrooms that are sub par. So I have to give a big kudos to them. The hours are weird here as they close pretty early. Altogether not a bad stop for a village, just don't expect the luxury of gas station in a larger town.

Half the time I go down there I have to listen to drama before I get my service, and the other half of the time the cashiers are to dumb to operate a register.

A very handy location out in the middle of nowhere! Get your supplies here before you really get out in the sticks where we live. But they keep a little bit of everything and they do not hold you hostage as far as price goes either.
