My family and I just returned from an unforgettable vacation at The Timbers Cabin 5 in Shell Knob, Mo and I can't say enough about how incredible it was. From the moment we stepped into the cozy log cabin, we felt right at home. The cleanliness and attention to detail were evident in every corner. With 4 spacious bedrooms, it comfortably slept 12 people, and the beds were so comfortable that everyone woke up refreshed and ready to enjoy each day.The kitchen truly exceeded our expectations. From the full range of appliances including a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and toaster, to the thoughtful inclusion of kitchen essentials and even spices, it felt like a home away from home. This attention to detail saved us from having to lug unnecessary items from home. One of the highlights for our family was the convenient playground just a stone's throw away from the cabin. Our kids had a blast on the slides, swings, and other play equipment. And speaking of convenience, the proximity of the boat dock and swimming pool was another major plus. Our cabin came with a boat slip, and we practically lived on the water during our stay. The swimming platform attached to the dock was a popular spot for both relaxation and meeting friendly fellow vacationers. The lake itself is a hidden gem – its clear waters resemble the breathtaking turquoise of the Caribbean. We enjoyed swimming, and the little fish and turtles added to the enchantment, especially for the little ones.As pet owners, we were thrilled to be able to bring our furry family members along. The pet-friendly policy made our trip complete.Beyond the cabin itself, the surrounding area had so much to offer. Great restaurants were easily accessible both by land and by boat, and we especially loved the Steak Inn for its delicious food and reasonable prices. The outdoor amenities at the cabin were equally impressive. The expansive deck with its ample seating, porch swing, picnic table, BBQ, and fire pit became the backdrop for countless memorable moments. And with parking for up to 4 vehicles, practicality was never an issue. For those seeking adventure, the nearby walking trails and waterfall provided the perfect opportunity to connect with nature.PJ, the host, was a true pleasure to deal with. Her excellent communication was evident from the moment we booked. She promptly answered our questions via text, and the no-contact check-in process was smooth and convenient. The early check-in and late checkout were thoughtful gestures that allowed us to maximize our time at this beautiful cabin. In conclusion, our family vacation at The Timbers Cabin 5 was nothing short of spectacular. It exceeded all our expectations, and we're already counting down the days until we can return for another unforgettable getaway. Thank you for creating such a wonderful haven for families to create lasting memories!

It rained non-stop for the entire time we were there. But it was still a wonderful experience. Very clean and comfortable cabins!!!Walkability: 5 minute walk thru the woods to Table Rock Lake.Noteworthy details: Literally buried in the woods and away from a twisted population. A place I never wanted to leave. Lol

The quietest quaint resort set among many cedars off Table Rock Lake. Visiting early October. We stayed in cabin #9 (Spruce, one bedroom) & it is so cozy with a wood burning fireplace. Open floor plan, fully equipped kitchen with table/chairs and livingroom. Spacious bath. Full porch has seating, a porch swing with views of the lake. Lots of wildlife to enjoy. Very peaceful and relaxing!

I picked the timbers resort and lodge for a family reunion. I had searched various resorts and pick timbers resort. I was somewhat skeptic but upon my arrival all was good. The new owner was very nice. My husband and I stayed in cabin 10, it was decorated with cabin decor and clean. I loved it! My other family members stayed in cabin 9,8,7,12,3 and the lodge. All cabins were very spacious and clean. The lodge worked well for all the family to gatherings. Golf carts were rented and were very useful in getting around. Everyone (all ages) enjoyed swimming using the water trampoline and the swimming pool. Rented Kayaks, paddle boards ( kinda old) The Hill tram had not been in use for a while, did not look like it operated, weeds growing all around it but did manage to get my mom down and up the step very slowly. Rented boat at another location because the timbers boat could only seat 6. I would go back to the timbers resort. The resort was very pleasant and home feeling. Had a great time by all in my family reunion.

We absolutely LOVED this resort. The cabins were extremely clean and comfortable. The entire staff were friendly, helpful and fun. The kitchen was equipped nicely. There were plenty of clean, fresh towels. We enjoyed swimming at the dock as well as the heated pool. We rented the pontoon boat and had a blast on it. We will most DEFINITELY be back. PS. The golf carts were fun too. LOL

We are very satisfied. Table Rock has either very expensive resorts or the smaller family run resorts which are hit and miss. My wife and I were looking for something on the quiet side of the lake the was family run, smaller but spread out, clean and updated. Timbers Ridge has very nice log cabins spread out so you can't touch your neighbors. The cabins are exceptionally clean and updated. They even had central AC which you don't find in to many cabins on the lake. The dock were nice and the atmosphere was very woodsy and rustic. Owners were friendly. Rates were very reasonable. The dock is also protected in a no wake cove. I would highly recommend this place.

My family stayed at the Timbers R&L in early June, 2015. The managers are great and the entire staff is very friendly. Mike took us out on a great fishing trip that we really enjoyed. The cabins are cleaner and kept up better than most hotels we've ever stayed in, plus you have a full kitchen and everything you need to make your own meals. The resort is also in a great location. Completely surrounded by forest and walking distance to the lake. Branson is also not far away.My family will definitely be coming back to The Timbers R&L in the future to do some fishing and relaxing. It will be hard to find a nicer, cleaner, and more affordable resort in the area.

I can't say enough good things about this place! The amenities and accommodations are superb! The cabins are true log cabins and not the cookie cutter false log cabins. The cabins were very clean and welcoming with fully equipped kitchens and appliances and even had a dishwasher! They have wood-burning fireplaces asking with central heat and air. The furniture was very comfortable where you can watch satellite TV. They have balcony that has a porch swing and a little patio set where you can sit outside and watch and listen to abundance of wildlife and birds playing in the oak trees. The interior design was very tasteful and the atmosphere inside the cabin could make it easy for extended stays. Even the guest guide was fairly extensive! Though the cabins are not waterfront with full foliage, they are located only 150' from the water. The property is very nice and secluded but not too far from shopping. They have a very solid dock where you can rent one of their watercrafts, fish or even swim in the cove Utes situated in. When we were there (Mother's Day 2019) the seasonal waterfall was flowing. The cabins are spaced far enough to enjoy your own piece and quiet but close enough where multiple units rented together were close enough for communion! They have a hot tub available for use and a swimming pool with a view (though the pool was closed on our visit due to being still early in the year). You also have the option to rent golf carts for the day which is just another added bonus. Ice is available for purchase on site for an average fee 24/7. The front desk clerk was very courteous and friendly! There is even a little playground for the little ones to exhaust there energy and I've even seen a resort trail sign. There is much more but their website is fairly informative!I've have experienced many overnight accomodations and this experience has been one of my top! I have paid more for less! If you are looking for a nice getaway on the lake but like the cozy feeling with the creature comforts of home, look no further. I would highly recommend checking this place out for your next family vacation, romantic getaway or a good old fashion reunion or get together!

A very clean and nice place! They had probably one of the nicer cabins inve been in. The pool was clean and fun to swim in! And best of all it was only about an hour away from Branson so you'd always have something to do while on vacation

Very quaint and clean cabins. Less than 30 minutes to roaring river. Quiet area on the lake. Feels like you are camping but all the comforts of home are there. Woodsey setting plus lake view.

Very homey and accommodating.. it was a nice well kept cabin. We did have a plumbing issue and wish the driveway was a little smoother, but overall it was a good stay.

My husband and I could not have been happier!!! We loved the woodsy feel and the easy water access! We have been to Big Cedar and felt very much that these cabins were every bit as cozy and warm and obviously much more affordable than Big Cedar. We look forward to coming back to sit on the swing, walk the grounds and enjoy the fireplace, oh yes can't forget the squirrel watching, very relaxing!!!! Thank you! Sharmon and Jeff Oujiri

The staff is always kind and available with great accommodations, including satellite tv. Just down the road is an okay public boat ramp (no bathrooms but no charge) on the upper part of the lake past the Shell Knob bridge. They also offer boat slips for rent which is convienant. Ive never had a bad experience here.

I called about reservations and they are no longer a resort. She said all cabins have been bought by individuals. I told her website still has it has a resort and she said owners wanted to leave it that way. Does not make any sense because you can't reserve them so don't waste your time emailing or calling for reservations.

Rustic pleasant cabins a stone's throw from the water. Quiet setting, with a small playground for children in the middle of one set of cabins. Some dated fixtures, but perfectly adequate for the three days I spent.
