Gotta hit up that hot deli, love the hand made chicken strips or the corn dog. Pork lion was fantastic, cooked to perfection. Love shopping there everytime I'm in town.

This place is just great! I had no issues finding anything and the people that work here are just great people. I love the small town feel and hospitality. Makes me wanna move from a bigger city to a smaller town. Anytime I'm in Shell Knob I will always stop here.

Really good fresh meat selection. Today we bought some stuffed chicken breast and bacon twice baked potatoes. Clerk at counter was quick with service and friendly.

The very worst experience with a cashier ever! I’ve bought meat there on at least 4 different visits that was bad. So I don’t buy meat there anymore. Also my neighbor said she has been sick from their meat three times and she won’t buy any meat there anymore! As for the cashier, I asked her if she would bag an item separately and she said “ I’m glad you think I’m that stupid” and went on and on about it until I had to interrupt her and remind her I just asked if she could bag an item separately! Extremely rude! I will avoid her from now on when I go spend my $600 a month there!

I am grateful to have a store of such quality with the kind, friendly atmosphere of our community available to a full-time resident. I'm particularly fond of the meat department. The staff truly makes an effort to make each customer feel welcome. I think it is terrific that they carry items for visitors to the area.

What a terrific shop for all your grocery needs while visiting the area. Recommended to us by family, we found the staff here to be exceptionally open. friendly and helpful. Even our fellow customers were engaging and friendlyWe were especially happy with the excellent offerings in the meat department...including several ready to grill selections. Even though it's the only grocery store around unless you want to drive over 30 minutes to get to one they have the BEST meat choices and BEST steaks. Even better then the restaurants. Very friendly staff also. Thank you Brad and Angela for a great store

Our local grocery store in Shell Knob-everyone there is very nice, the meat department has the best homemade breakfast sausage and other sausages, and as all Harter House stores, the meat department is the best around. Thankful to have them in the neighborhood!

Was told when up that way in Missouri purchasing a jet boat to stop by & try their steaks. So very glad I listened to his advice!They have the best steaks that I have had in over ten years. Very good cuts & aged perfectly. They also have good sales in their liquor department as well.We live slightly over a two hour drive away one way and have made this gem a regular monthly stop.Who needs Omaha Steaks with a grocery chain with this quality that is local & much better price!

I shop here mostly and from what I can tell, y'all is that the parking lot needs new parking slot paint because the current paint is old and faded. The store on the other hand is very clean as are the bathrooms 🚻. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Being the only store in town and still providing excellent service is a testament to the management here. The gentleman in the butcher's shop is a great guy, and goes out of his way to make you feel like you matter. The cashier's are all really nice and helpful. I don't mind spending my money here. Oh and the meats are top notch. See ya soon!

Every time my family goes to Table Rock we go here. Last time I was here was 6 years ago, (unless this is a new company) but this place has a large assortment of meats to buy and a lot of baked goods as well. It had everything we needed except antifreeze, but it's a grocery store so that's okay.

Update- went to the Harter House to get some taco seasoning and some cheese. I checked out the sale items and left with a half a cart full. The cheese is a bit more expensive than the competitors. But I saved on other stuff that the competitors are higher prices or just don't have.Great stop!Original review-Harter House has some of the best meats, everyone should already know that. However, they have a great deli too. Their enchiladas are good, they have good chicken strips with gravy and the biscuits and gravy in the mornings are great!Harter has some good bargains all over the store.I always look for the sale and clearance items to find good bargains.A suggestion- make your menu/ grocery list based on their sales. You will spend less than you would at Wal-Mart and get much better quality food!

Prices have soared more than similar stores. We bought a head of iceberg lettuce. The outside looked good but 90% of the inside was grossly rotten. The meat dept. is pretty good.

For a tiny "town", there is no city limits or city government, we have a really good grocery store. They carry a wide variety of items. Being a small area prices are higher than stores in larger towns. They are very friendly. I do have one complaint. When checking out the cashiers will start ringing up the next person before the bags of the first person are cleared off the counter. So some of the bags on the counter are from 2 different orders. Grocery stores no longer have people to bag or carry out your groceries. I can deal with that but please at least let me get my bags, or better yet help me get my bags off the counter before you start the next person.

We thought that while in Springfield we would stop. Sale ads from shell knob were different. And it is a smaller store. Nice looking meat department and friendly staff. It was a shock that shell knob seemed bigger and there sale ads were different. Springfield store and looked like nothing was on sale.

Great lake grocery store with many options in the deli with smoked, broiled, fried; chicken, pork, baked beans, etc. Cheeses and mouth watering bakery items. Beautiful fresh produce. Impressive meat counter for sure! Huge liquor department. A little pricey like you would expect for the area.

Love coming to the deli here for lunch. It's been fresh every time & i can get full for $5 & have a 32oz fountain drink.. I really like when they have the oriental food though. The staff in the deli are super friendly & are quick to assist you when u get there..

A little pricey but have good sales and bulk meats if you can find it in the freezers. Fresh meat...of course no one beats their quality. Appreciate hot deli foods too, since there is no quick bite options in Shell Knob. Vegan foods are sparse and hard to find.
