We have left our 165lb Daniff with them over multiple long weekends. She gets extra play time with the other dogs and some extra treats/toys when requested. Larger rooms are available, too. She is also bathed before pickup, a very nice touch👍 The staff is always helpful and friendly and eager to see our dog when we bring her in.

Pete & Mac's is AMAZING!! They worked with me coming in from out of state and treated my dog Cookie like their own. I even received a call the next day with the staff checking on her. I can not say enough good things about this place - clean, friendly, and affordable.

The workers were nice, very clean facility. The place was great! We took our puppy for 2 days but he has never been away from us. When we picked him up he was in the playroom with the other dogs he was huddled in the corner shivering and scared. He didn't understand he was just there for the day. We would definitely try this again though if needed.

Our pet has stayed multiple times at this facility and we’ve always had a good experience. This time, our dog had health issues during her stay. We were frequently updated and informed on her status. They even offered to take her to the vet while we were gone. When we came early to pick her up, a staff member was laying with her in her kennel cuddling her. Knowing that my pet is as thoroughly loved while we are out of town is something I would never be able to thank the staff enough for and is priceless. Thank you to every member of the staff and we will keep you updated on Bean!

I have 2 chihuahuas and as most people know, they do not like being anywhere but home with their owners. I have boarded our dogs at other facilities and upon pickup, they are usually stressed out to the point that they’re shedding their fur and it takes hours for them to come back to their normal temperament. Pete and Mac’s in Lee’s Summit is the only place I’ve boarded my dogs and they are calm and happy at pick-up. Workers can tell you whatever you want to hear about how your pets did and how they were treated, but the proof is in the pudding (or pick up 😊) at this place. It is the ONLY place in town I trust when we have to travel.

I have been taking my fur baby here since she was 16 weeks and I won’t take her anywhere else. The staff is amazing and they take great care of all the fur babies!! They are simply the BEST and I highly recommend if you are looking for a place to board or take your dog for daycare.

We travel a lot. Our dogs have been to all of the various boarding resorts in the area and prefer this place. We do too. This is the only boarding option where they don’t come home smelly, thanks to them giving a quick bath on go-home day. We appreciate the hand written report cards, too. These guys are similarly priced to the competition but I think we get a better overall value given the experience. They also have a loyalty program unlike any others in the area. 13th night is free. Huzzah!The competitors are also now asking for a 20% tip at checkout which its a lot given how pricy doggie daycare is these days.Anyway, you should give them a shot.

My dogs love it here and always have a good time. They come back exhausted and are so happy to go in and come out from boarding. The staff is incredibly kind and great to work with and with their new medicine process I don't have to doubt if my sweet little boy gets his allergy meds, because I know he will get them on time!No interview required for daycare or boarding makes it the perfect place for dogs that need a little bit more than 30 minutes to show their true colors and play well with others.

We were looking for a new boarding location. This one would have been a great choice, but they don't give diabetic dogs their injections or other meds.If your dog or cats are healthy, this would be a great place.

The pet guardians really get to know your pet so they are familiar with all the little details to ensure your pet has an enjoyable stay. I feel like my dog is welcomed and cared for. Everyone is friendly and responsive. I wish they had cameras so I can check on my doggie while he is away but I always feel like I can call and check in. The pet guardians also complete a “ report card” that lets you know about your pet’s experience during their stay which is awesome! This should definitely be a place you seriously consider when boarding your beloved pet.

I have been using Pete and Mac’s at this location for almost 2.5 years now. Love the service and the employees. They can be a bit pricier than other options but worth the security that my pups are safe and engaged with.

I have used Pete 'n Mac's for 12+ years and have always been pleased with their services. My dog, Jasmine, enjoyed going to day care and was always boarded there when I went out of town. During boarding I could telephone and talk with a pet guardian to check on her. On one occasion she became ill and the office called me to report the illness. She was taken to a vet and everything was just fine by the time I got home. All of my expectations were met and I would not hesitate to recommend Pete 'n Macs to others.

We have taken our dog here 3 times now for multi-day stays and they have been fantastic. We've taken him to other kennels in the past, and he has come back seeming depressed. When he comes back from here, he is tired from all the playing (we always get the play time packages), but very happy. I love the report cards they give you when you pick up. It lets you know they actually paid attention and he wasn't just shoved in a room. Prices are pretty reasonable, too. They really seem to love pets here and that's really what makes us feel comfortable letting our dog stay here.

DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS LOCATION! I left my dog here for 4 nights and 5 1/2 days. When I got him he did not have his normal hyper fun spirited self about him. His blanket smelled like an infection. I had to throw it away. He started coughing horribly in the car. That night he coughed up foam. I took him to the vet the next morning. He had to get a shot and two antibiotics. The vet said it was probably kennel cough. He had lost 7.5 pounds in that short of time. How does that happen?!!! I will NEVER take him there again even if I never go on vacation again. The only reason why I posted 1 star and not zero is because it wouldn't post unless I used a star.

Completed about 8 overnight stays since we moved up here. So far the pups are starting to warm up to it and seem to like it. Love the report cards at the end of the stay.Only downside is the check-in process. The have to put everything into the computer BEFORE they will take the dogs back. So the dogs are in the lobby excited but you have 15 minutes of paperwork. It makes it challenging for the dogs and other customers. Our pups are fairly well behaved, but it is still a process.

I know this was a while back but...Last May we boarded our 2 pugs there for 4 days, 3 nights and when we picked them up one of them had a huge (size of my hand) bleeding sore from anxiety scratching. No one ever called me or anything and when I called they said they never noticed it. It took 2 rounds of antibiotics to heal him. I haven't felt safe boarding them anywhere since.

Love this place. The true test for a boarder is when your pet gets ill. They did an amazing job getting our dog to the emergency vet, transporting him to his normal vet, and taking great care of him while we were away with constant updates. Excellent groomers as well and our dog loves their daycare.

My dog stayed for a day and a half on July 11-12. Threw up immediately after getting home, experienced excessive drinking because of dehydration. Has had diarrhea for 5 days. Now has a bad bacterial infection. This is the second time out of the last 2 times that she has become sick after visiting this location. Not to mention the large puncture wounds on her head that "someone was supposed to tell me about". I asked about their cleaning routine and no one could give me a straight answer. Even after confirming kennel cough which is highly contagious. So no thank you, will never be coming to this location again. The northland Pete and Mac's is great, go there!

We missed the report cards they usually provide after a boarding stay. They are friendly and provide good care for the dogs during their stay. The add on like additional playtime, treats, nail trim, etc help make their stay more special.

I take my dog here all of the time. She goes for daycare and boarding when I am gone. The staff is always pleasant and I know they take great care of Maggie. When an accident happened with my dog the staff handled it professionally and with care. I was extremely impressed with how they took care of me and Maggie.

This has been the best boarding place we have found for our cat. She always comes home happy and not traumatized from her time there. My only dislike is that some of the male staff doesn't seem to know how to handle a cat. I repeatedly have to go back and help get her back into her crate. The female staff is wonderful and always tells us how much fun they had with our furry love!

Horrible place to take your animal. I left my dog for four nights he came home with kennel cough and 7.5 lbs lighter. He had to have 2 antibiotics and a shot. He is still coughing a little bit. Do not go here.

I was extremely disappointed with the communication and pricing. There was no explanation of the extra fees put on our bill beforehand. Our pup came home with a goopy eye and bumps all over his body. Ended up taking him into the vets office for meds to help him get better. I was told the manager had our file on their desk and would call me back when they got back from vacation regarding the bill and the issues with our pup...NEVER received a phone call. I will never send our dog there ever again!!

First time I took my cat there for boarding, he did wonderfully and came back home happy. This time around was completely different. I was asked to come back to the cat condos to help get Kylo in his carrier and I noticed the room where the condos were, had bugs throughout the floor, the condos were not clean at all, the light to the room was off, and when I walked in my cat was scared. My cat is the most social cat out there. Isn’t afraid of anyone and will love up on anyone and everyone. His heart was racing even an hour AFTER we got home. He was happy to be with us at home but obviously something bothered him enough to be that scared for that long. Unfortunately I will not continue taking him to this place. But cleanliness, professionalism, and accountability is something this business needs to look into.

Great people, great daycare and boarding! Our dog is large-breed and high-energy, so we often use Pete and Mac's daycare. The employees know our dog well, he gets to play with other dogs all day, and he always comes home happy and tired. I definitely suggest them to anyone in needs dog boarding or daycare services!
