It's such a shame. The Mill and Canyon Grill was at one point a brilliant restraunt with a great menu with a mix of locally sourced ingredients and carefully prepared cuisine. The great news is that you still get to pay those prices for mediocre food and beverages. I ordered a burger fries and their signature old-fashioned. It was all bad, plain burgers and fries, and I had to send their old-fashioned back. I've had thousands of old-fashions (I'm not an alcoholic it's by drink). I've been to the heart of bourbon country; this was an abomination. The second attempt was still bad. The wait staff got food wrong, then demanded to fix it and made a scene in front of the entire dining hall, loudly proclaiming they were more stubborn. Despite being told not too they then brought the food out (we are almost done eating at this point) and then made such a scene that I literally had to tell them they were making it 1000 times worse. About $140 for 4 people for lunch, appetizers, drinks, burgers, salads, and chili, all of which were well below expectations or historical experiences. It's such a shame. I used to love this restaurant, and my whole family talked all week about how excited we were to spend time there again.

Incredible atmosphere and view, even more beautiful in the Spring being able to sit on the patio. The food, however was very disappointing. Bison chili and spinach & artichoke dip were served cold. Which would seem to me that it's batch cooked and reheated. So surprised as Johnny Morris restaurants typically have high quality foods which come at the matching price. Excellent service and the server did her best to amend the situation. I know she was super embarrassed.

Good food, good service. I really enjoy Dogwood Canyon and this was my first experience in the restaurant. It wasn't over the top amazing but definitely better than most restaurants at tourist locations like this and the prices, while high, were not more than you would expect. The folks were nice and it was quite laid back. Side note, the Coke Zero was really great lol. You gotta get the mixture just right! I assume all the sodas there are good. It was the perfect break after a long hot hike!

Beautiful view with some great food. I got a couple appetizers and an ice cold beer after a gorgeous bike ride through the park.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair lift located near the bathrooms at the west side entrance

Always love the Dogwood Canyon experience. The Mill restaurant is a great experience. Food was delicious-- ordered the triple slider appetizer, plenty for a meal. Husband had a burger, we shared his fries. Beautiful surroundings.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The building is just absolutely beautiful with the barn style ax hewn post and beams. The mill wasn't running while we were there but it was unique to see the mill itself and all of the museum artifacts of Indian arrowheads and spearheads, and different artifacts. The menu at first seemed a little simple and not as many options as you would think ahead of time, however the food is absolutely wonderful. I ordered the barbecue brisket sandwich and it was just cooked to perfection, even the onions were so much different than most places, they were like a purple onion that had been sauteed and it was just really good, all of the ingredients were a top quality. The Aioli mayonnaise on the side for my fries was amazing, but you got to ask for that separate. Two of my family members got the club sandwich I believe and it was really good too.You will notice that the prices seem to be a few dollars more than a restaurant you might usually attend, however their portions are huge, so you definitely get your money's worth. The staff was extremely polite and studious in their work. It's a nice dining room as well with all the wood and decor and there's a beautiful waterfall and body of water to view as you eat.Parking: There is plenty of level parking at this facility and also plenty of handicap parking up close to the building.Kid-friendliness: This is a nice establishment that kids will enjoy the views.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair access into the building and out of the building to go into the park further and also there is an elevator.

Absolutely fabulous. You get decent food and a view of a waterfall for s decent price.I had a cup of the Elk Sausage, Kale and Potato Soup. It was wonderfully brothy and recommended by our server. I wish I'd ordered the bowl instead, but I'd have barely been able to finish it because I also had a Reuben. (The soup has changed slightly since I ate this, but it is still delicious). The Dogwood Canyon Reuben stands out as one of the best Reubens I've had. It was not as strong on the kraut side as I normally prefer, but the cheese used blended so well that it was a master piece. My wife had the trio sliders (bison, trout and chicken). All three were good. My daughter had the cheese pizza from the kids menu and said it was amazing. The potato chips are good as a side, but you'll regret not ordering the fries. Crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside and delicious through and through. I had to share mine after I had them try one.Our server was incredible. We mentioned getting out hiking bag out of the trunk before heading in and she fixed us some to go waters to take with us (and by the end of it, we were glad to have them).I'll be back. We were too full to try dessert but the blackberry cobbler sounded divine.Update: We came back a year later with some more family and everyone loved it.I tried the Smoked Bourbon Peach Tea (perfectly sweet and smokey). It went well with the soup I ordered. My daughter got the ham and cheese croquettes, which she did not like due to the texture (think melted ham and cheese inside a spherical breading). We all ate them for her however and they were good.I split a Bison Reuben with my wife. It's one of the better Reubens I've had. A more mild taste, but it works. My father (on a keto diet) raved that their vegetables are the best seasoned he has had. They are lightly blackened in a skillet and apparently a popular choice for a side.

Probably a solid 4.5, but they don't let you rate that way. Food was really well done. Soup was little broke but still delicious, chili was done well also. Fried bologna sandwich stole the show!! Chicken sandwich was huge and delicious. Club sandwich was enough for two!Beautiful view of waterfall while sitting fireside in fall. Nice!!

What happened with the menu? It has been slimmed down to 5 sandwiches and one entree? We miss the trout cake sandwich and please put two chicken strips in the fried chicken sandwich instead of one strip. The pizza was always a great option for a quick lunch..why remove it from the menu. We miss the sliders too. So disappointed in the menu changes.

We enjoyed our lunch here as we spent our afternoon at Dogwood Canyon. We’ve been in the park several times but this was our first time to enjoy the restaurant. The feel & flavor reminded us of the restaurant options at Big Cedar Lodge which we enjoy. I thought the burger was excellent & my daughter felt her pizza was okay.

I was honestly skeptical of this place. But how wrong I was!I expected they relied on their atmosphere and location to sell mediocre Applebees style food. But how wrong I was.We got the sliders and homemade chips, and the salted caramel brownie and the gooey butter cake to split. The Bison Burger slider was amazing. Juicy, and full of balanced flavor. The gooey cheese, the warm poblano pepper, all chorused together into a perfect burger. The trout patty was delicious, slightly crispy on the outside and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The pulled pork was tender and delicious. The butter cake was heavenly, like a dessert you dream of only to find it's real. Warm and soft on the inside, crisp and crunchy on the outside, creamy, not too sweet. The brownie was decadent to the point I expected the pope to show up and name it the 8th deadly sin. Sweet, rich, and dense--it overwhelmed the senses.I cannot recommend this place enough.Fast service, beautiful views, delicious food! And Bob, our waiter, was friendly and attentive.I hope to be back soon!

We visited on October 13th it was our first time, got off the tram at 2 oh my gosh do we recommend the tram Ray is the absolute best, anyway we ran to the bistro excited about the food. Got there at 2:07 ordered a bison steak and a kids burger, everyone who came after us got served first and these were large parties and there was at least 5 different groups of 4-6 people in each so we aren’t exaggerating. Got our two waters at 2:20 and the glasses were nasty they finally brought our food at 2:37 they informed us they were out of white gravy and gave us brown husband doesn’t like brown gravy and it would’ve been fine if the mash potatoes weren’t freezing the steak was so fatty and nasty the burger was just awful and cold. The only thing they did right was the cold French fries. The waitress couldn’t be bothered with us. It was truly awful, that being said the Canyon was amazing the trout fishing was amazing the ladies from the stables were so nice the gift shop people were so accommodating and Ray our tram tour guide kept us entertained and laughing the whole 2 hours I would recommend everything but the bistro it was expensive and gross.

The grilled cheese was well done or as some would say, burnt. We purchased bison burger, grilled cheese, and fried okra. $50 total. My wife and I split the burger and kids split the grilled cheese. The fries were a little cold. I expected a little more for the price. The views from the restaurant are great!

Great place to enjoy the Ozark outdoors! The property is extensive, full of sights and sounds. From the waterfalls, running creeks and ponds to the wildlife, including eagles, huge rainbow trout, and buffalo. There are various packages one can purchase. There are hikes, biking trails, guided tours on a tram. Excited to bring my grandson on my next visit. This outdoor/indoor restaurant serves a tasty buffalo burger that I tried for the first time. Excellent! Homemade fries with it were some of the best I've had. Beer on tap was good. The waterfall view from the outdoor eating space was a nice bonus.I will add that the staff at this eatery were really nice. Warm and helpful attitude all around.Dogwood Canyon Park is a must see when visiting the area.
