This was a great place to stay! The Inn was as my children say, “Was “Decked” out in trains and had an awesome train decorations!” We felt as though it was also a mini museum. The staff was friendly, rooms were comfortable and we have fun viewing the live train feed on the TV and watching trains go by. The pool is a nice size and there are bikes, as well as a nice playground on the property. We would recommend the Depot Inn to family and friends, as it was a unique and fun place to stay! Thank Depot Inn!!

What a lovely, unique hotel! We were traveling through the area and decided to stay at the Depot Inn since the reviews were so good, and it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and available for any questions we had. The train-themed furnishings were unique and interesting. The room was very nice and had everything we needed. It's located off the beaten path but worth a little drive if you're looking for a place to stay in the area.

Our family stayed at the Depot Inn as part of a short trip up to northern Missouri. It's a delightful hotel with friendly staff, beautiful decor (the lobby is a real charmer), and nice amenities, including an indoor pool. Our room was clean with comfortable beds, a nice TV setup, and a sink that was helpfully outside of the bathroom. Breakfast was simple -- boiled eggs, Belgian waffles, cereal, and various pastries -- but fine. One thing we wished the room had was a light-blocking curtain -- the rooms here do not have them, and as a result light filtered in through the blinds both at night from the street lights and in the morning from the sun. Despite that nit, we found this a good place to stay and made for a helpful launch pad for our Northern MO adventures.

This place is very nicely kept full of history and rich in smiles and great customer service. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was so surprising how kid friendly they are down to providing a high chair for our baby every morning for breakfast and having floaties at the pool side. A wonderful play ground and bikes on site. This is such a family friendly stay it's made out list of favorites and must come back. Our most warmest thank you to all the staff. _The Cooks.Rooms: Clean very beautiful and cozy.Safety: We didn't kick our door while at the hotel and had 0 issues. So very safe.Food & drinks: Very accommodating offering great coffee and hot cocoa and tea all day and night.Noteworthy details: Staff goes above and beyond for their customers.

Another wonderful experience at Depot Inn!! Exceptionally clean, which is always appreciated. Staff are all professional, kind and hospitable. Pool table was fun, they keep the supplies behind the counter which keeps the sticks in perfect condition. King bed was very comfortable and room had plentiful hot water. We will ALWAYS stay here when we're in the area. 10/10!!!

Quaint motor inn with an historical flare in a railroad theme. Clean room, reasonably priced, friendly and efficient staff. Included breakfast is minimal. Large indoor pool and clean laundry facility. Out of town a bit, but definitely worth the drive - will be back!Rooms: Railroad-themed rooms that are clean and comfortable. Book a suite for a small upcharge - well worth the $$$!

Lovely Inn in Northern Missouri. Lovely accommodations. I wish all lodging was this comfortable. The front desk people were very willing to help with anything you needed. I cannot say enough nice things about the depot inn.Rooms: Lovely suite. Lots of towels. Comfy bed.

What an amazing place. The rooms were spacious, spotless and very comfortable with a great rocking recliner. The shower was powerful with lots of hot water. The pool looked amazing although the grandkids did not use it.Being pet friendly was a must for us there was a great grassy area for Gabbie to run in.We would so very highly recommend staying here.

Had a lovely time staying at this hotel! Loved how charming the decor of the lobby & rooms were. I stayed in the Victorian suite and HIGHLY recommend - the beds were super comfy, room was spotless, and the jacuzzi was amazing and exactly what I needed to wind down at the end of the day.The staff & owner were all incredibly kind and welcoming, and free coffee was surprisingly good. I even bought some cute Depot Inn merch (cute little mug and hoodie)!Couldn’t have had a better stay and can’t wait to come back :)

A charming hotel that was an unexpected gem on a trip that needed a stopover in mid-Missouri. The clear theme is trains and train history. The architectural ideas taken from century old train stations run through the entire building, including into the rooms which are not entirely the generic boxes found in most hotels. You don't need to be a rail fan to visit; it's just a nice touch.

This is a very unique hotel! We drove 20 miles one way out of our way to stay at this hotel. The price was very reasonable and it sounded very interesting. We weren't disappointed one bit. They have tons of stuff displayed showing the history of the railroad that was very interesting. The rooms were very nice and well maintained. The breakfast was a little disappointing, but good. The only hot item they had was waffles and toast, but they had plenty of cold items such as cereal, danishes, hard boiled eggs, etc.

This Inn provided us with a great family gathering spot for our 7 grandchildren and 8 adults. The pool, playgrounds and meeting room were great for our birthday celebration.In the morning, the friendly staff helped with breakfast, and we enjoyed coffee and waffles.We will be back when traveling this way again.

This is probably the best hotel that I have ever stayed at. Very clean and nicely decorated. Train theme throughout. The lobby has a nice pool table and there's an awesome pool. I would definitely recommend staying here.Rooms: Clean!

I love this place. The people are so nice and friendly and welcoming. Are room is beautiful and we can have our great Dan Harley with us. You can cook out side on the grill and we have almost every night. We have really enjoyed the pool table. And I love the indoor pool. The washer and dryer is 1.00 apiece. This is the best place we have stayed at. If I could give a 10 star review I would.Walkability: Me and Harley have walked from here to the small town witch is very clean and small but very nice

So I've been to this hotel a few times in my life; 3 times a little over 12 years ago, and once just a couple days ago. This place is a BLAST! The service is excellent, the rooms are comfy, the water spout in the pool is such a cool touch to the train theme this hotel sports. I love this hotel so much, it's worth the 22 hour trip I have to make to get to it.From the little exploration in the back of the hotel to uncover a little mystery, to their 24/7 live stream of the train station nearby; this hotel is fun for all ages and is worth a visit whether you like trains or love them.Rooms: Comfy beds, fully adjustable A/C, great water pressure, Smart TV's standardNearby activities: Mysteries, Mexican Restaurant, Train Station, Outdoor playgroundFood & drinks: Free continental breakfast

This was an amazing place close to home! We were celebrating our 25th anniversary, and they made it special. The room was so clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was very clean, and the whirlpool tub in the suite was a nice, large size. We loved it so much that we plan to go back every couple of months for a quiet getaway to rest and reset.

What a wonderful and affordable little motel. Lots of railroad memorabilia throughout. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Even have a nice recliner. Most bang for the buck of any hotel I've been to. Short walk to lookout point or Casey's general store. Friendly staff. If I had to come up with a negative, it would only be outlet placement in the room; they could be in better spots.

We had an overall good experience here! The owners/managers/staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions and accommodations. The nightly front desk lady gave us some issues though every night. It seems she expects it to be dead silent otherwise she’ll come and tell you that you are being too loud - anything other than a quiet whisper was too much. And the real issue is that it was never in a nicely manner. We’ve stayed at numerous hotels across the country and have never been parented as hard as we were here, by her specifically. Exclude her, and our experience was great! Highly recommend.

Definitely coming to this hotel again... It was me and my family first time in Missouri and this hotel is going be our go to every time we visit. The rooms were very nice and clean, and My kids loved the pool the owners were very polite and respectful, and My fiancée and I even got a bottle of wine which was amazing. Anytime we had a problem or a question the owners were patient with us all the workers were very nice as well.
