Drop off for Surgery Apt was for 7am but doors didn't open til 730am. I was put in a room for an hour & a half before someone even came in the room only to tell me my "consult" wasn't til 9! This was never mentioned on the phone when making the apt. He was extremely nervous as it was, but the waiting made it worse.On a good note- surgery went well. The vet tech was amazing and very knowledgeable.Very clean facility with lots of staff on hand. Has a grooming building and a daycare building. We'll kept outdoor area.Aside from the miscommunication I will return and recommend this office.

Dr. Leighr is an amazing and compassionate person, his staff is wonderful and compassionate also. I had honestly lost all hope of finding a vet in Missouri that made me comfortable with taking my dogs to them. The support that the clinic gives to the local law enforcement K-9's is incredible to me. Will highly recommend. Thank you♥️

We have Huskies , lots of Huskies.Long took great care of our girls dental issues. 2 extractions+ cleaning, and even trimmed her nails!How awesome . Sent home with meds ready to go and even the old teeth to add to our collection :)And beyond Happy with the cost, easily 50% less than other vets I have used. Less than $500!! New customer for life :)

Last minute boarding for the weekend, and I have nothing but good things to say! They took great care of my baby and the kennel staff said they loved him. They were so nice to chat with and he came home a happy guy! We will definitely be coming in again!! They even gave us cute little photos for the fourth! ♥️

Dr Lehr and his staff are so wonderful, kind and caring. We have used them with our Havanese dog for years and are receiving the same kind, loving care for our 2 year old Havanese. I recommend them, family business really makes a difference in how pets are treated!

My mom's dog went missing, and he was turned into their clinic. I called to ask if any dogs had been turned in. You'd think the person I was talking to would've asked if any were turned in that they weren't aware if instead of just telling you no. Such great customer service.

I took my 14 year old dog here after having a horrible experience at another clinic.It may not be fancy but the staff were so nice and caring. The vet, Dr. Leighr, was compassionate when he told me that my dog had cancer. I wish I had gone here sooner. Best clinic in the area as far as I'm concerned. And definitely not overpriced!

There are not enough good things I can say about Long Vet. First and foremost they are affordable and don’t charge you an arm and a leg for treatment. They take amazing care of your pets and have amazing bedside manner. I had a very sick dog and they worked tirelessly to find out what was wrong with her, they loved and cared for her like she was their own. Sadly my dog had to be put down but they said their goodbyes (because some had spent a decent amount of time with her) and allowed us to lay her to rest outside in the sun where she was comfortable.They also have amazing emergency service and ADOPTION services! We love them so much for saving the beautiful dog we adopted from them. Again I could go on all day about how much I love them! They are amazing!!!! I attached a picture of our pretty girl! She gets so excited to go in and see everyone to this day!(They’re grooming is amazing as well 😍)

We have gone to Dr. Leighr at Long Vet for many years. Most recently he was able to diagnose a disease (Dysautononia) that two other places completely missed (one vet in smithville and the other a emergency hospital in Mission, KS). Although the disease is fatal, he was able to have our dog finally diagnose correctly and made him as comfortable as possible. Long Vet doctors and staff are educated and take your feelings into consideration. The clinic is clean and the staff has always been friendly. I will never go to another vet again! Thank you, Dr. Leighr for listening to us and doing everything you possibly could for my beloved dog. He will be missed.

We have been going to Long Veterinary Clinic for 6-7 years now! Prices are reasonable enough that we can afford to keep our doggies healthy and happy! The boarding service is great! Every time we go out of town, we sign up both of our dogs to stay with Long Veterinary clinic. All the workers are so nice and know our dogs every time we come in. You can trust this vet! They care about you AND your pet!

We have used Dr Leighr for more than 10 years for both equine, canine, and feline care. His prices are always reasonable and he does not try to add additional services, medication, or special pet foods that aren't needed. We have had several emergency farm calls over the years and he has always been able to arrive quickly even on weekends, nights, and holidays. If you are looking for great animal care and a fair price, I highly recommend the Long Vetrinary Clinic.

I wish I could do 0 stars. It first started when I asked if the rabies tag would be enough or do I need to bring the paper. They told me one thing, but then told my husband something different. I called to see how my pup was doing and the girl didn't answer my question. We stopped in to see if she was ready to come home and the receptionist said she was awake but the Dr had to come in and write up the charges. She said it would be longer than 10 minutes so I came home, and then 8 get a call at 10 minutes that she was ready. Then I picked her up and the lady pushed the cone into her eyes. They didn't even rinse her mouth off from the surgery since she has white stuff in beard. I thought I could've expected more love for my baby.

I would absolutely recommend Long Vet Clinic to anyone and everyone with both small and large breed pets.I have been taking my dogs and cats to them for years and have always been happy with our services.However, nothing compares to the service we received on October 12th, 2020.I made the decision to euthanize my best friend and beloved dog, Strudel. She was in pain everyday from arthritis, it had become painful for her to chew and it had to be softened, she couldn't hold her bowel and bladder for very long, she lost her vision, and she had become nearly deaf.I called on Friday, October 9th to discuss what I would need to do to move forward with euthanization. The receptionist was so nice and told me they could make a trip to our home for the procedure the very next day.Dr. Leighr and his technician came to our home on a Saturday, which blows my mind, but they were empathetic to our pain, they were gentle with my sweet girl, and they were extremely respectful.I was so upset with the fact that I was saying goodbye to my girl, that I forgot to pay them when they arrived and was too emotional after it was administered to even think of payment.Dr. Leighr kindly said he'd just send me the bill later, then quietly left us to grieve privately.We were able to hold a small funeral service, in our very own back yard and lay her body to rest in a raised flower bed I build out of cinderblocks just for her as a memorial spot.I have never experienced a peaceful passing of a pet until that day and let me tell you. That made losing her so much easier. I felt secure in my decision seeing her simply drift away in the wind without an ounce of anxiety or pain. I looked into her eyes and watched her go.There are really no words for that.So, thank you Dr. Leighr and all the Staff at Long Vet Clinic for providing top care for pets and owners.

LOVE this office! Every vet is incredible, especially Dr. Leighr! Couldn't be happier with this entire team! They really take the time to help your family members We have used Dr. Leighr and his team for almost 2 decades and will never change. They gave us the kindest advice when our Great Dane was sick with cancer the last time. When we had done everything possible, they were there as she passed the rainbow Bridge. They have been there for every crazy pet we have gotten from babies until the end. In an emergency, there is no one I'd trust with our babies more than this office. Truly they love and care for your babies like their own. I can't say enough kind things about them. The prices are very reasonable and they do not push you to do things that you can't afford. Phenomenal team run and owned by the most phenomenal vet out there!!

The best!! Caring and compassion, plus reasonably priced.My dog was attacked by my neighbors 4 dogs. They took my dog in immediately to assess his injuries. He was already a patient there, but they wasted no time making sure he was OK and ended up having to take him to surgery for repairs. I'm happy to report they did a great job and he is scared but healed!!

The best vet and groomers in town, fair prices, excellent help, and nice people. I haven't tried doggie daycare here but have heard great things. One of our dogs who rarely gets groomed just started here and now he gets excited whenever we drive by thinking he gets to go back. Can't recommend enough.

If I could give a zero review for their grooming, I would. We like their mission and core values that they want to help other animals and everything that they do is for other animals. They have very reasonable price on their grooming department especially when you have three golden doodles, however no worth it to deal with Kristin McBride. Unfortunately, there is nothing that Long Vet can do regarding their grooming department even you have been more than a year as customer! FIND ANOTHER CLINIC TO SUPPORT AND FIND ANOTHER CLINIC TO ADOPT

Long has been so great to my boys for both vet services and boarding. While boarded, staff even alerted me to a small tumor growing in one of my dogs that I hadn’t noticed yet. It was growing rapidly and they were able to get him in quickly for surgical removal. Boarding tip: they book up quickly so don’t delay on booking!
