I'm so glad that this is my closest pet store. They have so many wonderful things and I love going to a small business for all of my furry children's needs. The owners could not have been more helpful and my dogs and I had a blast trying on booties and coats!

Best bath service in town! I seriously can’t believe how shiny and soft my Aussie’s fur is since his bath here. He always had really healthy fur but this is next level. The bath stations are easy to use and offer a variety of premium shampoos and conditioners available. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming to both dogs and their humans 😊 thanks for the great service!

I brought my staffy/lab mix here for one of the D.I.Y. baths and had a great experience! The 2 people running the store were so friendly with Myah telling her what a good girl she is and asking questions about her. The bathing room was very clean and the tub was easy to get Myah into. They had a selection of over a dozen shampoos to use (all of them smelled great)! After the bath, I walked Myah around the store to pick out a fun new squeaky toy and the cutest cookie. I also got a catnip toy for my cats. They have so much to choose from! I’ll most definitely be bringing Myah back. :)

I am so glad I have the local Kansas City gem - Tail Waggin' PetStop - in my neighborhood! I sometimes get nervous about parking in the busy Crossroads, but Tail Waggin' has parking spots reserved for customers in a lot north of the store, just a few steps away.I have a dog and a cat and Tail Waggin' has everything I need. They have tons of high quality food brands. BUT, my (and my pets') favorite sections are the treats and the toys!! I like getting the Bosco & Roxy's cookies (the fun shapes change every season) for special occasions, chews, catnip toys and Kong items. I have a chihuahua but they have mini versions of Kongs and balls as well as the full-size versions!I love that they have KC Chiefs and Royals gear!!Finally, the DIY bathing area is really nice. Being able to wash my pup with their shampoo, use their towels to dry off, and not have to clean up my whole bathroom at home after is WONDERFUL! :)

Feel as though the female owner (who loves to share her husband is the owner) is not accepting of all people. Very rude and disrespectful. Seems to be on a very high horse and needs snapped back to reality. Quite demanding that I should make a choice and stick to it for the size of cat food I buy and I'm making a "mistake I'll regret" by not doing so. Told her the gentleman I talked to, talked me through my options for the point system there very clearly and kindly at the time -then boldly told me "well that's my husband he would never say that" *insert condescending smirk* SIDE EYE not the place nor vibe I was needing!!! THEN proceeds to tell me the exact same thing her husband told me in a tone as if I'm dumb??? No girl. Just no. You're paying for convenience here it truly is way overpriced. Won't be back and disappointed as to how she treated me (also note there was another witness during this event who -when we walked out- pointed out the women's behavior as well... Smh) also upon reading previous reviews an issue of racism with a previous client with this same women was pointed out and I feel as though that could've been a contributing factor to her behavior (as I am back as well) who knows. Either way, very rude attitude.

I have been going to the Tail Waggin PetStop for almost 5 years now, I don't trust anywhere else. The owners are well informed on the products and have always been such huge help in pointing me in the right direction. They are very passionate about pets which makes me comfortable going there with questions for my cat baby. I love this place!!

Great pet store in the Crossroads. I love their dog food selection. I live downtown and it's the best place for a high quality selection of dog food. I also got really lucky and stopped by on a Sunday around 1:00 and they were offering nail trimming. I am not sure how often that service is available, but I got lucky and I recommend! Thank you!!

I went in to get my Mastiff a harness, I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The help I got with sizing and how to properly use it was amazing, and the harness she referred me immediately worked wonders for my dogs pulling issues!! Cheers!!

One of, if not the best, stores for your pets in KC! From a wide selection of foods, clean and affordable self grooming stations, to the amazing attention to customer care and kindness! Anytime I call with questions they are always so accommodating and help to make sure I get what I need and am taken care of! I would highly recommend Tail Waggin’ PetStop to anyone in the Kansas City area!

First-time shopper and we loved it. The owners and Rusty, their trusty dog, were super friendly and very inviting. Not only was the selection large, but so was their knowledge on the brands and products.They offer a variety of food and toys for dogs and cats alike, as well as a grooming station where soap/water and materials are provided. We will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend it.

Convenient location and hours but please never ever mention you buy on Chewy and Amazon. I called to find out if they carry a specific dog food (they carry some of this brand) which is both grain and legume free (our rescue is severely allergic to both) and after mentioning we usually got it from either I was told they cant help us because we support such places. This store doesn't carry any of gran-free and legume free dog food so getting it there is not an option but the way it was communicated must change - after I said that we were their clients for few years with another dog there was a silence on the other end. Please be kind to people who kept supporting you because "I am not going to help you because you do Amazon and Chewy" is not the best answer to your client.

Wanted to love this place. I had a disappointing purchase. I do hear their pet food selection is great. Staff was kind. As far as the self serve bath area this looks wonderful! Have not used them yet. But wrking with the salesman & explaining I was looking for something for aggressive chewers. Something to last that isn’t chewed up in mins. Grabbed a ‘ Mammoth‘ bone since it looked like it was nicely smoked with marrow visible. I usually get these from my local butcher, some ribs, & was recommended to get the knuckle bone. All we’re incredibly low, low quality. Very very dry & marrow was basically a façade. Looked full but tried to scrape and just dry bits & pieces fell out. My dog will hardly sniff them much less chew them. Over $30 spent on bones that aren’t being touch :(. wasting $$ is the worse right now! Wish I’d of not taken the plastic off the knuckle & I knew for fact they’d accept a return on that & the big bone cause it was a totally waste of $30. Would still go bk for the bath use but won’t buy bones from anyone but my local butcher or KC Pet Food in kck.

If I could give this business a consistent 10 star review I would. I have always been made to feel at home in this pet store, and that my pets are a part of the family. Always, without fail I am remembered no matter the time or space between my visits. I always feel welcome and enjoy searching the isles for new products that are fun finds. My pets have seen better health and care because of the owners and their passion for cats and dogs. Go in, and see what they recommend for you. You will become a customer for a lifetime.

This store is very personable and they have great options for pet needs. We get our cat food here. We love using their bathing station for our 90lb Bernese Mountain Dog. They provide everything to bathe her and at a great cost! The owner even helped me bathe my dog when I was in a pinch to get her bathed before the holidays! Greatly appreciated it. I highly recommend this store.

This shop is the only location for us to find the food we prefer to feed our cats, with comparable prices for buying it online. There's a nice selection of cat items, although it's predominately dog focused. They do offer a loyalty reward program with the simple provision of your name/phone number. They didn't initially offer it to me, though, so it's something you might need to mention if you're planning on shopping here regularly. If I had a dog, I would appreciate the self serve dog tubs that are available.

My friend asked me to join her for The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City’s santa photos. They were $15 for a hard copy and access to digital copies. I thought this was a great option to support the local community for a cause connected to their business. Inside was clean and full of great cat and dog options from toys, treat, and food. They even had a dog washing station and clinic in conjunction. I highly recommend this business.

The young man that works here is incredibly polite, welcoming and knowledgeable. The store is clean and well stocked. We came back for a nail trim and the lady who does that is the best I have ever gone to. So glad to have found this place.

Our little kitty had gotten really sick and wouldn't eat anything for a dangerous amount of time. We called up and spoke to Christine, she was rocksteady. She told us exactly what she had seen work for her animals, knew exactly what foods work for his condition and clearly works here because she deeply cares. We'll be coming back here for our kitties' food because of her and the awesome stuff they stock.

The owners of this shop are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me to select a kitten food that my baby actually likes after going between 5-6 different brands. I live in Overland Park, but it's worth the drive to support this wonderful shop. Every time I walk in they remember me and my kitten's name and ask how she's doing. As a bonus, shopping here gives you the opportunity to support a local KC business.

This is our absolute favorite place to go for our dogs. The owners are so friendly and always willing to help you out with any questions or decisions. They never make us feel rushed or like we have to buy something just because they spent time helping us and they've even offered to order other things they don't normally carry for us if they think it would be a better option for us.The bathing station is awesome and has everything you need, they have tubs with the grooming loops to hold your dog in the bath and they are raised off the ground so you don't break your back. They provide shampoo, conditioner and scent and conditioning sprays in all different scents as well as hypoallergenic ones, plus a high velocity blow dryer so you don't have to leave with a wet dog. They will even give you treats to keep your dog happy if they don't like the bath. This place is the best, I would highly recommend them to anyone with a pet!

LOVE THIS PLACE! Seriously. I treat my dog like he is my child, and this pet shop has the best for him. The two owners are the sweetest, and they really know their product, which is awesome. If you go to a large chain pet shop, most of the people have no idea what they're selling, but if you go to Tail Waggin Pet Shop, they can answer any question you throw at them and make you feel at ease with whatever you are buying for your fur baby. So happy I found this little shop!
