The shelves are practically empty, over priced for the quality especially since stores are cheaper and well stocked.. I bought dark chocolate rolos (the candy) and they were old enough the chocolate has bloomed. All of the frozen pizzas were in an open top display coolers instead of being fully inclosed to stay frozen. The pizza had freezer burn so the coolers aren't regulating the temperature properly.

PRICES ARE EXTREMELY HIGH!. THEY ARE CHEATING THE PEOPLE WHO COME HERE. I saw a box of cereal for $8.79. THE PEOPLE WHO SHOP HERE NEED TO PROTEST THIS STORE. They're price gauging because there's no other stores in the area. If you want cash back you have to pay $5 for every $20 you want to get back. If you can go somewhere else you should and save money. I took a lot of pictures and I plan to do something about this. I'd rather they go out of business and have new owners that aren't cheating the people. This is absolutely shameful. They serve a mostly black population. $12 for a pack toilet paper. Ridiculously over priced. To think this was the store my grandmother shopped at when she received her social security. With the prices here your money won't go very far. The owners should be ashamed. Let's see if they have any shame or compassion for the people they serve. I will also contact all news organizations. They need to bring the prices down or we need a store that serves the people fairly.Updated I submitted this to all news stations. Hopefully one of them picks this up.

Shopped at this store today.. the entire ambience of the store was pathetic to me.. I’ve never been a thief, but the security was tight..while trying to buy groceries. We were watched from the time we walked in the store to checkout.. there was the guards.. omg.. then there was so many empty shelves.. the produce is horrible.. watch for mold on food..the cashier was unable to ring up most of the items.. she struggled..then blamed the pricing team said they ain’t doing their jobs. She had to lookup many items I had..lol … and you going to self checkout (JOKE). If your cashier can’t find prices how you expect the public to..The meat is horribly overpriced.. I won’t go there again.. Notice I didn’t say shop there.. It was a horrible experience..

I have been shopping at Sunfresh for years. And on October 12th, 2013, I was approached by an employee and a security guard asking to check my receipt. What was the reason? I felt racially profiled (I’m black, they’re white). The store is in my area, but I’m never shopping there, AGAIN!

I ordered catering for a 40 person event, and I was blown away by the deli. The boxed lunch option was reasonable priced, and each person received a sandwich (with generous meat), chips, a cookie, and a water. The manager was incredibly helpful, answered my questions, and helped me set up delivery for the event. I will definitely be ordering again in the future!

Visited store again on 2/19/23. The prices are much higher than most other Sunfresh stores. Fresh greens were reasonably priced and the quantity was fair. Not anymore. I see why the store is almost empty when you shop there now. Don't think they will survive there long. They put in seating to dinner it was empty...

I went there to look for some smoked turkey I'm glad they carried this product. Not just on Christmas or Thanksgiving but anytime you need it and the glory greens they had those there also

You have the nastiest cashiers I have ever seen and in my entire life. Do they get trained before getting in front of Customers? Everyone has the nastiest attitudes. That includes the office staff as well. The Blue Parkway store is the only Sun Fresh store I have this experience with. I have been in line behind customers and have seen them talk to customers like they have tails. I refuse to get treated this way and have told them about themselves. I have stopped shopping at that location for that very reason. What in the world is the management like to think this behavior is acceptable. You have to know. Are you turning a blind eye to this tragedy!!! So sad and really need to be addressed. You all need training.

It's alright we went here plenty of times for food and the prices were simple but the samples they have we don't usually get because we don't come that often. But we came there for salad there salad was good the store was cheap the store has low prices on clearance sales of you go their sometime in the spring.

Can't find half the brands other locations have. Have found past freshness dates items like eggs more than once. Just doesn't have the same aesthetic appeal of other Sunfresh locations around the city. Disappointed.2023 still lower tier store. They recently opened a sitting area to eat in and not only is it unappealing but the chairs are filthy and look like somebody found them on the curb waiting for trash pickup.The manager needs to go.

Big yikes. Store itself was good but slightly high prices. The cashier was horrible. She was eating some kind of brown paste out of a little jar with her finger and sucking it off in between steps of the transaction DURING COVID! No gloves, no mask and her own saliva all over her hand. Super disgusting. Never going back.

0 out of 10 I tried to give them a chance but they will sell you EXPIRED food and not care. But this time was the last straw. I recently bought some juice which ended up making me sick. Come to find out it was EXPIRED! I’m also pregnant. If you choose to shop here please check all expiration dates on your food before taking it home to your families.

The deli department, is the best in town, and at lunch time it is always full. Somebody has been taught how to cook!!! My heart goes out to all of the employees, especially in the deli department and cashiers. You have hungry people coming in rushing to get lunch, plus you have to take care of your other customers. That isn't a job for me. Please have some compassion, for the workers. I see how hard most of them are working. If you buy or see food expired, please bring it to the attention of the manager. I try to check my dates before leaving any store. Yes, in the suburbs they sell expired an outdated food. When you have a food desert, very few companies want to come into the neighborhood. Sun Fresh has made a commitment, to bring a quality store with good, healthy nutritious food. Most people won't invest their money in anything for the inner city, or urban core. I won't tell anyone not to complain, however what happens if they shut down? Another good thing, is this store hires people from the community. This means our dollars aren't just turning around and leaving. In essence, it keeps good people working, which help make our communities better and stronger.

Love this place when I'm in town I get manager's special for $4.49 fresh southern cooked meals, plus a bottle of water; enough to feed two people (alot of great tasting food). Someone there in the deli can seriously, cook. And often a side dish of Peach cobbler....um....downright sinfully delicious.

Worst customer service in Kansas City! I went there cause I always spend a lot of money there but not anymore! I was checked out by a rude disrespectful cashier with an attitude problem her name is "Stephanie" and a Security Gaurd named "Alex" he also gave me an attitude problem and made the situation worse! I was also told I was wrong by a manager named "Mark" but the customer is always right. I spent thousands of dollars but not anymore.. I'm on my way to return most of the things I bought. This store only accepts cash and turned down my bank card. Worse grocery store in KC and I am no longer a true customer. My cash will be spent elsewhere! Sun Fresh cares more about transaction fees from using a card then a long term customer that spends thousands but not anymore.. I will take my cash/card elsewhere!

I love this store. The people are super and the woman are very pretty and always helpful. I really enjoy to browse and I always buy something. The prepackaged cold meals are the best in kc. The fish is outstanding. More fish please.

My visit was excellent as always. I still would like to see vegetables and fruit closer to the entrance of the store. No sugar products in the bakery. Chips on an end isle or on on its food row. Candy with its row. A complete shopping experience with jazz music.

I was always afraid to go into this place, I heard bad things about it but it was 4pm and I needed a few things... I was blown away from the prices,really low, and pick5 for $25. The cashier seemed kinda rude but maybe she had a bad day😒 ... I'll give her that one I was to satisfied with the deals to care!

Valerie is very rude and unprofessional, if you have cashiers in the middle of a transaction, you don't have them void out the entire order to go do something else that you want done. I watched 3 different employees in my short time at the store become quickly frustrated because they are ringing out customers and she's pulling them other places. On top of her tone with customers needs some serious work.

Ridiculous prices. Horrible. smh I hate their prices.Every time I try to buy some fruit, there is fruit sitting there bitten off of or smashed. Wth? Bathrooms are atrocious. Customer service is bad.I promise you will go here for 5 small thins and end up spending over $30 for them. I do not like this place and dread going here. I use this place for last minute emergencies only, and only if I have $100 on me cause they'll definitely break you of all the money you have.

The lady in charge of the salad bar overheard me ask a question, inquired, and helped me by giving me all the information I needed. AND she told me about their $5 salad bar which includes a free water. I plan to come back often.....all because of the nice lady over the salad bar.

I'm new to the area from Lake of the Ozarks. I was actually born here in Kansas City Missouri in 1969. Customers and Neighbors always very nice. Sun Fresh had everything I needed & all name brands.Also everything on sale. I had a wonderful experience & got all my shopping done There for the month.😉🌞🍇🍨🍤🍗☕🍩

Standing In the deli department and the young lady never greeted me. No customer skills at all. Then proceeded to talk to another co worker about Easter dresses. While wrapping food with no gloves and fake nails on. A guy comes to complete my order but he didn't wash his hands and had a very large watch on his arm. Didn't get that meat! People are not real friendly at this store. Besides my cashier she was great!

The store was clean, quiet and had some nice deals!.... However I did not appreciate the way I was treated by the girl working the register durning my visit lastnight.. Young girl with two braids w / clear barretts on the ends.. First she asked my son if he was gonna speak to her!.. Ugh no... He didn't even know her 🤔🙄🤦 Then she started saying she was gonna quit as she kind of tossed my groceries... I'm assuming she was having a bad day- 😔 I didn't care to ask!.. Soooo moral of my review- hire employee's that have respect for other's that want to work....

Ha. Very interesting place. Uhm, I only stopped here because I was in a rush and didn't have time to go to a safer place. Only been here 3 times in 7 years. Have been made to feel very unwelcomed every time. The staff is rude, customer service behind the window is a joke. Racism is racism no matter what color your skin is.
