Very poor customer service! The assistant manager is no help at all. If you tell him the website says there’s so many of something, he doesn’t even acknowledge or even go look other than shrug his shoulder and say there's a couple broke, all while his nose is turned up in the air with a bad attitude! This makes the second time we’ve tried doing business when he’s there, and both times he is very unfriendly! We’ve shopped there numerous of times in the last month and haven’t had any issues with the other employees.Kudos to the ones that are friendly and shame on the assistant manager who is just a jackass! Maybe he should stay at home or find a job not in the public eyes!!

Went to Sutherlands yesterday for a few things. The customer service in this store is horrible! Employees would walk by you and not greet you or ask if you need help. Heck, most of them will walk by and not even look your way. Then when we did ask where a part was, the girl at the customer service counter ( with a disgusted look and annoyed voice), pointed they are over there. She pointed to a big area in the store, instead of saying , "here let me take you to them." We only went to Sutherlands because they said they are now a Bad Boy dealer and we needed mower blades. We knew we should of just gone to Home Depot. Lesson learned! Sutherlands needs to train their employees on customer service skills!

Great store. Almost anything you can imagine in a hardware, farm and home store. From lumber, lights, ammo cans, lawn and garden etc. Fantastic customer service. I highly recommend this store if you are in Harrisonville Mo or passing by on 71 highway.

This has to be one of the best stores I have been to! Needed to get some paint and not sure what I needed but Jeff at the paint counter was very helpful and made my visit enjoyable.

This place is overpriced and they do not tend to there customers! I bought a well pump here and before purchasing I asked specifically if I pay with cash and it’s the wrong one can I return it they said yes fast forward 2 days it was the wrong size so I took it back and they said well all we can do is request a check for refund!!! What!! ***k you !!! That’s six weeks! I had to use it I will do my best to never shop here again and will do my best to steer everyone away from a Sutherlands store!!!!!!

Multiple visits to this store always ends in disappointment. I always try to support local business, but not this store again. On 3 occasions, I was guided to what I needed by an employee. Every time, I looked at the price and got what I needed, went to check out and the price is always 9 to 15 dollars difference. There employees put things in the wrong area and expect customers to do research to get the correct price items. I wish Lowe's was here.

Great customer service, everyone I asked for help sounded happy to do so and they have a wide selection of products though the prices for most things are above elsewhere. All employees were wearing a mask and gave me my 6 feet. The floors could use some attention and I have no idea if the bathrooms are open or not so I don't know if they are clean. 4 stars for customer service and product availability and 1 star off for prices and cleanliness.

Beware if you buy home floor tile from the Harrisonville store from their “special buy” or “truckload” sales. The tile is discounted because it doesn’t meet manufacturers first quality specs according to the store manager, Derk. Sutherland fails to mention that in their ad or tell you before you buy it! Several weeks ago I purchased what I thought was first quality ceramic floor tile advertised in their local store flyer as a special “truckload” sale. I purchased a total of 51 cartons of tile with 10 of those cartons coming from the Liberty store. The sales person was very helpful and called the Liberty store and had two employees verify that they had the 10 boxes in the same color. I was there when she called. I paid for all 51 cartons including the 10 cartons coming from the other location and an additional $80 for delivery. They said the would call me when they had the extra cartons and set up delivery. After a week of not hearing from them I called the Harrisonville store and was told the Liberty location never had the 10 cartons in my color and they couldn’t get anymore as their special truck load tile was actually tile that didn’t meet manufacturers specs and each store has no control over what they are sent!! The store manager said he would be happy to refund my money. That was big of them to refund my money for tile they sold me that they never had in the first place. Makes me wonder what else they sell that doesn’t meet manufacturer’s specs! They made no effort to call the manufacturer to see if they could provide more tile and I ran into a dead end when I tried to track down the manufacturer online! Makes me wonder where they actually got the tile! This caused me a lot of problems as I had to cancel my contractor and was unable to complete the 806 sq ft project. I called Sutherlands corporate office in Kansas City to complain but was transferred to a person named Michelle’s voicemail. I Left a message but never received a call back. Very disappointed as this company is locally owned and has been around for a long time. Thought this was a company you could trust to treat their customers right. Guess I was wrong. Will take my business somewhere else in the future.

My parent's bought a dryer only worked for a day they won't refund my parents they have the receipt they told my mom to call whirl pool they didn't answer the phone for 35 minutes it said on the recording that parts on a two week wait needles to say we will not be going back to Sutherland for any Appliances my parents are going to call channel 4 problem slovers and is reporting Sutherlands to the better buissnes bureau . I'm very disappointed that they ripped of 70 year olds and plus a veteran buyers beware 😔

If you don't need assistance it's not a bad place to shop, BUT if you need help well you are on your own! You have to go hunt for assistance!!!!! So I wanted to buy a porch swing that was on sale I thought I'll do this on line and save alot of hassel! Boy was I wrong! Ordered it 10:15 a and going to pick up between 11:30a-1:30p waited for an email to tell me my order was ready recieved nothing had to call....on hold for 20 min. Talked to 4 different people to find out why I was not contacted because it was after 1pm and I live 30 min away. Long story short they never processed my order till I called. SO NO ORDERING ONLINE IS NOT ANY BETTER!!!!! 😡

super convenient local store which is what makes it hard to not go back, with not much else to pick from. You would think they would screen there employees for outgoing personalities and maybe some sort of knowledge of what they are selling before hiring them. The gentlemen working at the service desk the last few times I've been in there are rude as hell and seem like I am bothering them from there nap or something!! They don't seem to care that I want to spend money in there and support my local community! Family Center may be getting most my business in the future.

Had a unique experience. A piece of foam pipe insulation rang up at 46,100.00. I told the cashier I was not paying that much for that. We all had a good laugh. The item was fixed in a speedy time. Good cashier and management.

Employees are always nice here. However today we were looking forward to buying some new flowers from the garden centre. It did look as though they must have somehow gotten too much heat or too much cold because so many were dead or damaged. Disappointed, but will still go back.

We came to shop in the garden center. We were disappointed in the appearance of the garden center. It looked like the middle of winter. There were plants ,but not taken good care of. The employees looked disgruntled. I have not shopped your store in a long time, but we were out for a drive and I had seen your Memorial day ad and wanted to shop there. We got a couple of items. All of the employees appeared to be very friendly and tried to be very helpful. That's about all this place has going for them. The prices on what I went for were twice the price of big-name competitors. However the employee I spoke with had no clue what they were talking about. I'm a professional contractor and she was trying to appear knowledgeable so I gave her an A for effort but that could potentially lead to misinforming a customer

I ordered online for in store pickup. Four hours later, still not started. Once they did have my order, I paid full price, even though I had a military discount.I get home and noticed they didn't include a couple of items in my order.My fault for not double checking, but they seemed like I was bothering them, so I left as soon as I could.Don't plan on returning.

3 days in a row they screwed me around on my order, tools, and prices. Crazy they are still in business. FORGET the small town “family owned” feeling. I get better customer service from Home Depot and Lowe’s!!! ZERO accountability for anything. Last time I’ll be back.

If it wasn’t for a young man named Levi Arnold I would’ve been leaving a one star review. He was there to assist me without asking. he helped me when nobody else would. After he helped me load the lumber in my vehicle, He Instantly started to help somebody else. This place is going down the drain, you better hold on to this guy.

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES HERE!!! I purchased a new fridge, stove, and dishwasher from them. Picked them up on saturday installed the dishwasher on sunday and it doesn't work!! I called them first thing monday morning about it and they won't fix it or replace it! I was told to call frigidaire. I call fridgidaire and they can't get a repairman here for 2 weeks!!! I purchased a NEW appliance so i wouldn't have to deal with a repairman or I'd have fixed my old dishwasher!!! If your going to sell something stand behind your product!

After waiting 45 minutes on someone to get something down off a shelf, the tags were marked wrong and all they had was the display. 20 minutes later they still couldn’t find the box for the display power tool only. Proceed to plywood wait around forever to get assistance getting sheets from top shelf. Off to the register and checkout can’t find the right tag in the book for sheets of plywood, then tells me the display with nothing and no box is full price. What little staff they have is friendly. The manager had to be pagged 4 times. The store is a disaster with stuff all over the isles that you can’t even get through them with a cart.

Sutherlands in Harrisonville,Mo. Is a great place. Has everything i need and even has things not in other stores! Have good sales on several things through out thier store. Has nice furniture too! We bout our couch and another piece of furniture for our home and we are looking at a new whirlpool washer ! Go check them out..you won't be disappointed!
