Extremely helpful. And knowledgeable. They might be a little higher than the bigger stores but I'll pay it. You get one on one service with no pressure to buy anything. They will answer any questions and explain to you in detail step by step as they walk with you through the store helping you get everything you need. When our electric was out due to a storm they were open and assisting customers with flashlights. I've never heard of any store going that far to help customers! Thanks for all your hard work and making every customer feel important

Always very clean & polite, only thing is the junior employ.. didn't have the answer & answered with a they" don't have it", then I found it within 2 min. so a bit more knowledge about products if they're if working in that Depart. ( It was a sliding glass door handle).

This place proves my point that Excelsior has the worst customer service. First off, they have their end of season plant clearance to 50% off. Well, every plant I was interested in had no price listed. After getting a price check, I stumbled upon more unmarked plants. Then went inside to look for a caulking remover. Couldn’t find it so I went to the check out where the only employees I could find were working. The girl very point blank said it’s in aisle 4 or 5 and when I said I checked, she said “then we don’t have it.” GREAT! Thanks for the help. I left with nothing. Not the first time. This is why Walmart is beneficial to this small town.

Excellent plant selection, prices a little higher than competitors, friendly service, overall pretty clean store. Seems like there should be an associate in the outside garden section to take money, but its not a seal beaker. Unfortunately, nothing was free.

Experienced some great customer service today! I had all but given up on finding that last Christmas gift and was about to leave this store empty-handed as well. Thanks to a thoughtful new clerk, and a manager determined to make a happy customer, I walked out with a better deal than I was originally shopping for.

There is always a lot of things to look through. From nuts, screws, nails, bathroom Plumbing, tools, dog food, cat food, grills, seeds, paint, candy, gardening tools, and way more. My store I go to is always clean. The workers are very friendly. They even have yard furniture and barbecue equipment. The only issue is the prices are a little higher. They carry heaters, fans, hooks, bracket and yes again much more. Worth the look. They have a lot of great products.

Was ok until I got charged $300 for milwaukee brush cutter attachment for quick lock... then found it for 150 at home depot.. went in same day for price match. Got denied later that week wife returned it and employee was confused. I am not a scamer I buy my product and have verification. Plus the item was special ordered and never received an email, phone call, dm or knock on my door letting me know it arrived. The snow ball went down hill quickly. Their r 3 or 4 amazing employees that I do love.

My go-to, one-stop hardware store. Always excellent customer service at our Excelsior Springs local. Very knowledable; always help me figure out what I need for each project. Pop by and tell Lora or Clay (or any Associate) what you need. Store offers an amazing number of services beyond just selling hardware like special sized glass pieces to screen repair. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Went here to get two 60 lb sand bags for the trunk of my 2009 Ford Focus to help with keeping it from sliding on the snow and ice (which it slid off the road and into a ditch several days ago, don't worry both car and myself were alright!! 😌😌) they were quick to put my order through and had someone help me with putting both into my trunk. Very friendly and not that crowded. Only cost me under 14.00 for two of them!

Wow What a experience I am new to the Excelsior area And I needed a few thing So Westlake Hardware with the place I went I was in there a good hour Walking up and down the aisles and nobody said anything to me I was trying to match bolts & nuts to fix a countertop dishwasher. I couldn't recollect my high school knowledge of a basic ruler. Which made my job harder.1/4,5/8,3/16..etc. @ the 2 hour mark and still no one asked. I decided I'll wait til closing time, (45min) then when they FINALLY ASK, CAN I HELP YOU? I can reply with sure now that the stores clothing this is what I need and I got your undivided attention . And that's what happened They weren't real happy that it took them about 35 minutes to find what I needed I had so many piles Bolts and nuts and Different kinds of Connections in piles down every row Too bad so sad for them They had To figure out where they went It's I would have asked me in the beginning he could have found exact size I needed and I would have been on my way Back If I had to rely on Westlake Hardware for all my projects that I do I wouldn't do any projects . I wasn't a happy camper when I left .

I LOVE this place. John Murdoch truly made me out loud exclaim "WOW, ACE really is the place with the helpful hardware folks!" Hey ACE, give this man a raise. My wife and I were treated with respect, care, and all our needs (and wants) were satisfied during this lightning fast experience. Got what we needed, and were on our way without a hitch! I wasn't feeling very good that day and I went in to get light bulbs. To find out they were at the very back of the store and so I looked back to get some. I was limping very bad that day I want to ask about the light bulbs and they told me it was clear in the back of the store would have been nice if they offered to go pick some up for me. The girl was too busy watching like I was going to shoplift. I wasn't really impressed with the store this time for that very reason

Love having a local hardware store. They carry great products you can't find anywhere else in town. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff if you have questions about which product you need. Only suggestion is that the checkout process is slow.
