I grew up in Dexter and came to eat with my family while visiting for Thanksgiving. Wow time has been hard on this little restaurant. Whoever the new owners are need to sell! Customer service was terrible and the food was mediocre at best. In customer service, when you make a mistake you own it. You don’t blame it on the customer. Sell it back or learn how to do customer service!

This place is about 40 miles out of our way and this is the second visit I've ever had. Both times have been nothing short of pig perfection. Food is just excellent. Prob a big part of why they are still doing it up after all these years in business. I believe it said est 1949 on the counter inside. Not hard to believe it either. Solid dining experience.

Subpar at best. The blonde with the eccentric make-up on, who was taking the orders, was extremely rude to some of the elderly customers. I was not impressed with any of the establishments visited during my time spent in Dexter. Don't waste your time or money! Much better in other towns like Sikeston or Poplar Bluff.Wheelchair accessibility: Not very wheelchair.

I was served by a young lady who was very tall with pink hair. She was incredibly polite and helpful. She seems like an excellent employee! The food was good and seemed from scratch. The ice cream was also fantastic.

WILL NOT GO BACK!!! Took my son in for ice cream and noticed when the employee was making it, he wasn’t wearing gloves while he was putting the banana slices on top. I asked “Sir, can you please remake that and wear gloves?” He obliged. As he was remaking the ice cream, his boss started shouting from the kitchen to me saying “you know we aren’t required by the state to wear gloves, right?” I said “I don’t care if you’re supposed to or not, I don’t want my son eating off of this man’s hands”. The owner then said “So you made me waste an ice cream over your son?” I told him I didn’t physically make him waste the ice cream, and the owner could still eat it. The owner didn’t like that comment and threatened calling the cops on me and said I was banned from coming back. Thank you for making that decision easy for me. Disclaimer, I don’t know if he was the owner or not, he tried taking charge like he was. I’m not saying to stay away from there, just know gloves will not be worn when handling your food.

For me there's a lot of memories in this place. It's a place where my Dad took my older brother and I as kids. The food is always wonderful, the atmosphere and people through the years have always been super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend paying a visit and please be prepared to waddle like a little piggy when you leave!

Was passing through town looking for a good down home bbq place.. it took us 50 minutes to get our food. I asked the difference in burger baskets and lotta burger basket person behind register didn’t know. My husband got barbecue sandwich which had coleslaw and mustard and they had no barbecue sauce. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. Food was good too but If you go , give your self plenty of time ( and bring your own bbq sauce )

The food and service were okay, but I'd never go back. No detailed menu. Just clever useless names. For example, one item is called pig basket. When I asked more about it, I was told it was pork. I don't know about you, but I know pig is pork. That doesn't tell me what pork dish it is or what is included in the basket. It's pulled pork sandwich and fries, but the pulled pork doesn't have any BBQ sauce on it and was dry. Tables were dirty. This place could be better. A suggestion is to put BBQ sauce by ketchup.

The food is delicious. Prices are good. Portion size is excellent. Dining room is a little noisy yet enjoyable.Parking: Only 1 handicapped place on the right when pulling in.Wheelchair accessibility: Doors are not automatic and entry floors are uneven.

We come to Dexter twice a year to visit family and we ALWAYS stop here to get the Whole Lotta Pig basket! It is a tradition that we really enjoy! The whole lotta pig sandwiches are amazing and make sure to get a shake or cyclone! The workers are friendly and the dining area is a nice throwback as well. Definitely try this gem of a place out!Parking: Plenty of parking .Kid-friendliness: Plenty of menu choices for the kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible as their are no steps.

Extremely slow. I only ordered a vanilla shake and small chocolate Sunday. I waited in the drive through for 20 min. Will not be going back.
