I was able to get in, grab what I needed and get out. The store was clean. The cashier was polite and professional. It was safe to go in and out of this store. It was a great experience.

Dollar General would like to compare itself to a mini-Walmart and it's business plan includes trying to locate stores in rural areas more than 5 miles from a Walmart.It could potentially meet a families complete supply needs in the consumable home goods department like cleaning, hygiene, and other house supplies.Lack of any fresh food, very limited frozen and refrigerated food and most of its food shelf space dedicated to snacks, junk food, and soda leaves it open to opinion if it even qualifies as a grocery store. I would compare my food shopping experience closer to a higher end gas station than a Walmart. It's a place to grab snacks or you need a basic staple item quickly because the husband used the last squirt of ketchup and put the empty back in the fridge hoping you wouldn't notice 😉If you go in expecting a Kroger you will be sorely disappointed but if you want a fast and easy shopping experience for a few items like the grocery equivalent of fast food it might meet your expectations.

I went in the store to do a doordash and got up to the counter to finish up and I stepped outside because phone has no service and the lady on duty came to me and accused me of stealing and wouldn't let me finish dash she even admitted to looking in my purse twice and because she didn't see something in my purse the first time she looked in it I supposedly stole it what a shame and she took my deodorant that I bought at another store and kept it and this is so sad because I didn't do what she was excusing I will not go back to stre and I would recommend others to go to store on hwy

I love all Dollar general that I've shopped at. However, the store on Ohio is always terribly cluttered can't get through the aisles someone's going to get hurt someday and I work for them as a manager for years not down here but in another state as an assistant manager and it takes dedication and mature people to work in that type of an environment they work very very hard for their money and they can burn out very easily because they are usually treated nice but it just takes one person to ruin their entire day because they treat them so poorly like they can't understand that these two employees that they're allowed can I have to unload their own trucks and put their merchandise away keep the store clean try to make the customer happy that's a lot of work that they need a maintenance group someone who keeps the store clean so you can get through it and Shop there without having fear of knocking over everything or falling and getting hurt so I always go to the one out on the highway it's always much easier and cleaner. And I will say the management is much more friendly.

Manager was nice today finally. She was upset last time I was in cause I found a penny item. What ever that means. ( this item I bought actually rang up a penny and she was mad at me?) Not sure why tho but I was happy. She still sold it to me I guess it was the correct price. Pretty cool.

Trash all over the front of the store and parking lot, refuse to go back, could not get checked out because the only employee I saw was busy gossiping with another woman.Plus the shelves were not organized..stock blocking most aisles...won't reccomend this Dollar General.So went to our other Dollar General and store was organized and clean..Employees were very helpful..

Not worth coming to. Their prices are always higher than anywhere else you could shop. The only reason they seem slightly lower is because they design it to seem as though they are cheaper, but they are only cheaper because you are buying in smaller quantities than you would at other stores. I'm not a fan of this company and haven't stepped foot in one of their stores for years as I can do math and don't wish to be ripped off.

Very friendly local store. It's older store so it's a little run down, trash seems to run from the parking lot to the inside. Maybe one day it will get some updates. The staff is what makes this a great place to shop. Ty for your hard work!

I'm changing my review on this one because I actually mistook this one for the one in garden city whe it popped up for me to do the review because I had been to both stores on that day .. so since I'm reviewing the dollar general in Clinton ,MO at the Ohio st location i would like to say.. when I'm in Clinton I drive out of my way to go to the dollar general on the other side of town when possible.. it was just a fluke that I happened to go here this day .. they are rude and I really,hate going here, I actually had my boyfriend go in and get what I needed being it was close to the house.

Almost always find everything on my list and able to easily redeem digital coupons. I'm addicted to the Herrs jalapeno cheddar poppers cheese curls at $1 a bag!Of course they are out of things this week but very nice, understanding, and patient ladies who work there!

Went to DG at around 10:40pm tonight. Was only grabbing cleaning supplies. I go to a different aisle to grab detergent...and run into the Assistant Manager. She then told me they were closing in 5 minutes. She was very rude about it, like I needed to rush just because there were 5 minutes til 10pm. Mind you I am 8 months pregnant. She then yells "Everyone get to the front and checkout!!" For someone to be in customer service....she is so rude, makes me not want to come to this store and buy things. She didnt have any manners or respect towards anyone. I walk to the cashier and there are 2 ladies checking out. Mind you they have about $130 worth of groceries. It took about 10 minutes for them to checkout. I waited patiently, no rush. One of the girls went back to look for something for her newborn. The Assistant Manager comes and says "you can't shop anymore we are closed". This lady needs to be replaced. The lady felt very disrespected and hurt. And also the new hired cashier was also upset, it was only her 3rd day. And while the cashier was checking the customers out, the Assistant Manager asked,"Did you bring in the carts"? & she answered "no I'm taking care of the customers first". So the Assistant Manager throws the broom down and walks outside grabbing the carts and pushing them very hard in the door to bring them in. I would gladly be hired as a Manager and brighten this place up. Most of the staff don't last and some don't seem very respectful.Clinton,Mo

Wish I could give them no stars. Unprofessional in every way including the language. Isles always have full carts in the way with unpacked merchandise. They open late and lock the doors early. Employees sigh and are visibly frustrated when they have to do more than check you out.

Handy for a quick go to. They usually have a decent selection. My only complaint is crowded aisles and extra stuff sitting around in the way. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Usually has most of what I'm looking for and their dg digital coupons app is the best way to save on almost any and all house hold/ beauty/personal hygiene products I wish walmart app and dg coupons app would have a baby and created both store chains new websites my life would be complete

Greatstaff clean establishment half the price on everything in the store that you can find at Walmart close did shoes and toys all that for cheap even got food drinks snacks ice cream stuff like that too great place shot there a lot saves so much money good for birthday parties and other things too

Did not receive the coupon discounts on everything and even after I said something, did not receive all of them. Too hard to tell until you receive the receipt after completing the purchase. Overcharged by $2.50.

Love Dave's. Good prices and buy most of our meats here. Soda prices need to be more competitive.
