If I could I would give this store no stars. This is not a professional place to work. They act as if they are in high school and they run by clicks. The district managers are no help the store managers are no help and the store is a mess they cheat people and are willing to lie just to keep their jobs. Don't nobody wanna do they jobs.AND FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO WORK FOR ANY DOLLAR GENERAL JUST KNOW THAT YOUR STORE MANAGERS CAN CHEAT YOU BECAUSE THEY CAN SCHEDULE THEMSELVES FOR 40 HOURS AND ONLY WORK 29 HOURS BUT STILL GET PAID FOR THE 40 HOURS. How is that fair?

They never have more than one person available for check out. The line is ALWAYS long. You can't even walk up and down the aisles due to freight that has not been unloaded from the rolling carts.

I wish I knew young lady name that work tonight after 9pm. I called store to check on an item that doordash said was low possibly out of stock. The cashier was so professional during call I could hear some dude give her a hard time and an opinion about why I was calling and that I need to bring my my *** up there to find out. She calmly and an another guy in line explaining to the ignorant fellow that she didn't mind answering phones when she work and looking for items to check the correct stock because no one wants to make a blank trip pr the person on phone may not have a cat sir. There's countless reasons why people call the the store and without them she wouldn't have a job and G wouldn't be open etc. She said some other stuff that wish inwas there to say. The level of customer service was awesome. I couldn't believe....They definitely should pay her mote and appreciate her because I sure did. She took the time verified stock friendly and helpful. .

You could not even get down the aisles because they were full of inventory waiting to be stocked. I don't like talking bad about businesses but it literally gave me anxiety to try to walk down an aisle. This was at the end of the isles as well so it made it very claustrophobic.

Never stocked like should be, empty shelves. Store is not as clean as should be. Since they have self check do not hardly see a human body. Usually go across street to Family Dollar since is stocked better and more organized.

It’s ok, some of the workers are rude. An older white lady told me one night I had to use the self checkout and went to the back and never came back. It’s a mess and dirty. They have had 3 gallons of whole milk sitting out on a cart for at least a week, if not longer. I’ve gone in almost everyday and the milk is still just sitting there.

I shop here 3 or 4 times a week. The Manager, Mr. Jerry is THE BEST. I won't go to the one on Hwy 80. They are SO rude. I always go to this location. You will not find a better staff..ESPECIALLY Mr. Jerry. I have never seen him be rude to anyone even when they deserved it in my opinion.

Staff was friendly and the store was well stocked. A little disorganized, but that's always the way at Dollar Generals because the cashiers are usually too busy at the register to stock and maintain the store. Overall in better shape than alot of their other locations though.

I've always loved this Dollar General. I've been shopping here since 2014. The employees have never been anything except exceptional here. They made me feel more wanted and appreciated than my home life at times. Its the small things.

The store was nice and clean. The store associates we're very pleasant. I was looking for Maybelline foundation since I am not allergic to that, but they are no longer carrying that brand. I did some more shopping and left. The store associates were pleasant to everyone.

I would love to give this dollar general 5 stars. I shop here daily and other than on truck days when the isles are impassable due to the stock it is usually neat and orderly. I dropped my wallet in he parking lot one night and came up there the next morning and they had pick it up. All my money and everything was inside. But I just came up here to get a loaf of bread so I can make my boys lunches for school. I got here at 11:40 and the doors were locked. The casher signaled to me they were closed but they should have been open for 20 more minutes. I'm very disappointed at the lack of service I received tonight.

TO MRS. ARLENE!!! She made the very best if an awful and sad situation! She was the only person working in the store and checking out customers during the busiest time of the day (5:00 pm home bound crowd)! She single-handedly served and checked out customers at BOTH resgisters while the line was backed up almost to the exit doors AND she did it with the friendliest and most professional attitude! This woman needs a RAISE and some help in the form of new employees! Thanks Mrs. Arlene!!! You're one of a kind!!!Stopped in again on 7/1/21 and found Mrs. Arlene doing what she could to check out and assist customers as again she was by herself running both front registers. There's no way she could possibly know about the water leaking onto the floor from one of the coolers. I guess the company will hire more people to assist with running the store and pay better wages after someone slips and falls. It's a great high volume store that management needs to pay more attention to.

The obnoxious mansplaining, know it all TIM, is aware that he is being an insufferable, annoyingly rude person who won't do his job correctly since he won't shut up long enough to take a breath. I had to walk out when he informed us that some customers have complained about him being "too good at his job" but, it's actually quite the opposite. He should be supervised until he can hush long enough to know what he's doing. I think he must be trying to get fired because, there's no way for him to just be so exceptionally BAD at his job. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with him. If I see him at the register, I'll just turn around and go home. Arlene is a saint!

One of my favorite DGs as everyone is very friendly. Sometimes when I go I hear other customers complain about the obstacles in the way of isles. I often am reaching around stacks of product or shopping carts filled with items to grab what I need. The homeliness in which I feel here makes me look past (and simply reach past) this issue, but I can see how it can be cumbersome to others.

Every employee that i have encountered there is very friendly and helpful. The general manager is a gentleman who never meets a stranger. He goes over and beyond to make sure that your visit is one that will assure you're shopping there a second and third time. One afternoon he took time to help a handicapped person who had walked there, to safely get back across the very busy 4-lane road to safety by walking with him back all the way across this road (Pearson road), & then walked back to continue his duties at Dollar General. Again, "over & beyond". Also they are pne of the few in the tri-county area that stays open til midnight, in stead of 9-10:00 like most of the other locations.

I shop here 3 to 4 times a week. The staff here gives the best customer service i have EVER had. I am 48 years old, and never shopped at a store that is as kind and helpful. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this store a 11 😃

Pearson Rd Pearl Dollar General store is by far the friendliest one around. Manager is always helpful & willing to answer any questions you might have. Does a good job at keeping shelves stocked for his regular customers so they have what they need.

Nothing specific to like about DG...it's a dollar store :) sometimes you can find great bargains and sometimes not but it is fun looking around at all the stuff they get in each week regardless. Yes, they are all still understaffed, so usually there is only 1 cashier working and the wait in line can get old fast if you're in a hurry. But, all the dollar stores seem to have the same problem yet they are always a favorite store to shop and bargain hunt!

The employees had all the boxes of merchandise on carts blocking entrances to several aisles. I have worked in retail and know this is a huge no-no. I went up an aisle to try to enter the aisle from the back to learn not only did they have the aisles blocked on one entrance but both entrances. Plus, the entire aisles were full of carts with boxes of merchandise. About half the store was unshopable and an employee continued to role carts of boxes of merchandise onto the salesfloor. The DG by my house has carts of boxes of merchandise on the salesfloor, but they have it where they aren't in your way and you can easily access aisles and shop. I will not be back to this location.

We were here on a small trip staying at the Candelwood Suites Hotel next door to this Dollar General. We have a 6 week old puppy, and of course didnt and couldnt leave the puppy in the hotel because we were sure he would cry and bother the next door guests. We went into the store for a quick stop to get some snacks.. And we see this manager come towards us and say "Not trying to be rude but you guys need to get what you are getting because that dog needs to be out of here now!" I understand that some stores have a no pets allowed policy, but she was extremely rude and almost kicked us out. worst service! All i have to say is that Assistant managers or General managers should set the example to its employee's and be polite to customers. Sets such a bad image towards Dollar General to be so rude and ghetto like this one Asst. manager was.. rather drive a farther distance than to come back to this crappy managed store again.

Leaving my bread behind I rushed out and was loading my groceries.. The lady behind me ask if I had left it. The cashier had sent her. The line graciously allowed me to pay and leave in a flash.

Service is top notch, Jerry the manager is super nice and helpful, and there is rarely a long line because they have enough people on staff to work the registers. They don't leave you standing at the register wondering why no one is ringing you up.
