Today I went shopping for some items one specific item was a verde hot sauce. The regular price was $3.75. It was on sale for $2.00. I went to cash out , cashier charged me $3.75. I told her it was on sale. She argued with me. I said I can go check or take a picture for you. She told me I don’t have the time. After I paid, she took the item back to put on the shelf. I walked over there with her and pointed it out to her.. she didn’t say nothing and took down the sale price tag. Even though the tag said the sale was until 5-18-24. Today is 5-11-24. I thought she didn’t have the time to check. But she walks over there right after I paid. What lazy as b…ch. I’ll be contacting corporate later

I gave a two because I found what I needed. However, no one greets customers as they walk in. There was only one cashier. The other employee was somewhere else speaking about ordering a pizza and she would pay for it. The one cashier took at least three minutes to get up off of the floor at the safe after I said excuse me. She scanned the four items and the only thing she said to me was, "Do you want your receipt?"

Absolute worst DG I have been in thus far!!! Product knocked over on shelves, stuff piled everywhere, totes full of trash and products all through out the store. No buggies available because they were full of trash. One cashier in the whole store. I just put my stuff down and left.

I never really have to spend a bunch of time trying to find what I need/want. Everything is pretty well laid out. Keep up the good work 👍👍Only "negative" thing about the store, is when there is only one person working the register and it's super busy. Even then it's not (always) the person working fault. Sometimes people call out sick, don't show, quit/fired, sometimes only have so much labor, etc. I had to do it everyday at my old job. Chill people, long line....ONE person working the register...they doing their job, keep ya snippy comments to yourself 🤣

Everyone is lovely except the manager of the place. She always has a horrible attitude. There could be a line full and her stand upfront close to a register and multiple times I've witnessed her not be in a rush to help the employee to knock down the line. I try to avoid this dollar General at all cost.

The Dollar General in Monticello has raised the bar for surrounding stores in their chain. The store isn't packed so tight that you can't maneuver your cart, and the shelves are full. They have a large cold case and do have a small amount of fresh veggies and fruit.

Manager is rude most of the time and closes the store early. I have stopped here several times on my way home from work and the door will be locked 5 minutes before they're supposed to close and if it's not already locked you can be almost 100% sure she'll be waiting by the door to lock it.

One thing ruins the whole store: a manager with a hateful attitude. Went in to buy my kids stick on tattoos. They were posted as $1. She was checking out and on top of her bad attitude towards every customer, the tattoos rang up for $5 apiece. She even acknowledged she knew the price on the rack was $1 but refused to sell them for that price. We went to the Family Dollar right down the street where the EXACT SAME ITEMS were marked AND sold for $1.

this manager here at this location is not a friendly person. i hate that's only one cashier working in this chain store. takes to long to get in and out. because of mishaps i have hade with a manager previously , I dont like this store, very limited in my spending here if i just have too!!!!!!!

Dollar General in Monticello used to be a great place to shop, until they began using fewer employees, leaving stock buggy's on the floor in the aisles. The checkers are always mad about something or another, on the phone while checking out customers.

I give them 4 cuz I go there alot and the employees all know me but the place is never picked up or organized rarely can you get down an aisle they're always out of almost everything because they haven't restocked anything and their old manager was a terrible person but it'll get better

The manger of this store is very rude to everyone . She makes smart remarks about every thing you buy . She is not friendly at all . She needs to go or I want be back. She even put down on a 2 year old my grandson .

I gave it a 1 because it was the lowest number you offered the black people working thier are very rude to whites they Laff with Black's then want say anything to white people please don't say you'll look into it ,it's been going since you opened the store I've seen lots of white people just leaving thier basket and walking out it's been reported maybe you should hire some whites

I hate going to this store. The workers are not nice at all. They never smile and act like they hate there job. One cashier,she is young scans groceries very slow

I will NOT shop at dollar general in Monticello, Ms again. The workers are very rude to the customers. Also, it's hard to move around in there cause all the junk in the way. Plus, the long wait cause of one lane only being open.

Normally I would say 5 star or 4 but the other Saturday they didn't honor my 5 dollar coupon off 25.00 dollars and also my 5 dollar off of 30.00 dollar of gain scent items so very unhappy with them
