We have worked with Hawk creek a few times. We even adopted a senior dog Ella from them. They are so thorough with their adoption process. I love that they make sure what ever animal you adopt will fit in with their new family. The staff is very nice and helpful. They are also a no kill shelter.

I found my new best friend here! The people were friendly to me and appeared that the animals liked them too! Tremendous place, clean and beautiful backyard for the dogs to run!Wanted to be sure the dog was right for me or maybe I was right for the dog!

Spent a lot of time getting to know the pup we were looking to adopt. Got to bring our dogs to do meet and greet. Had option for 2 week trial before we decided for sure (I straight up adopted). Our dogs did great with our new addition and I had no worries. Very friendly staff including the volunteers. Thank you so much. Adopted pup is black boy by our brown girl.

These morons gave us 12 bags of half used food. My dog refused to eat any of it for a week, by the time we finally found a brand and flavor that she would eat, she threw it all up. Dogs stomachs don't work like that. They save all the big bags and good food for themselves. Don't go here for free food. They'll only poison or starve your animal.

What a great place to adopt a new friend! They make sure you can have one on one time with your new pet before you bring it home. The process is pretty easy and you gain a friend for life! The staff is so nice and you can't help but smile when you walk in. They do a great job helping the animals here.

I’ve adopted my cat Milo from here 4 years ago and my cat Athena (chiller) a few days ago. Great staff and great loving animals! I also used to volunteer here and the opportunity is great!

I've adopted two kittens there in the last 9 years and I love how friendly the staff is and how clean it is, the animals are very well taken care of. I have only had one difference of opinion with one staff with this last adoption and I felt like I had to say what the lady wanted me to say to get away from her pushiness! I didn't care for that, but just difference in opinions!

Very rude staff! Wouldn’t let me play with the dogs unless I was going to adopt one. Wouldn’t let me adopt a cat telling me how I look too young and questioning my living status multiple times. Being very aggressive with her tone. Not friendly at all!! Told me the cats are only allowed to be indoors and not allowed outside at all because they spend $200 on each of these cats. Told me my cat is not allowed to be inside a heated garage because it needs to be indoors!! Very rude experience every time I have been there.

this is a place not interested in homing their animals. i went there and a kitten is 100$!!! the cats are chipped and the customer has to pay for it. the worker was uppity and walked away when i showed my surprise at the price of a kitten. older and health-sensitive cats are 40$. they also do not care if you tell them an animal is living outside in the city they tell you to call the police!

Called asking about a pet. Said we'd be on our way. Left work 2 hours early. Grabbed my 2 year old from day care. Drove 25 miles the wrong direction to get our current dog for the meet and greet they said is mandatory w current pets. Picked up my wife. Called saying we were on our way. Had to leave a voicemail apparently the 3 girls sitting at the desk during our hour drive were to busy to pick up a phone ever. Get there and a guy beat us there and got the dog. First come first serve I 100% understand but when I say I'm coming and I call reassuring I'm coming that's a load of $&#@. There are plenty of other dogs out there that ain't the problem it's that I $&#@ed away a Friday evening w my family to get stuffed by these.....I have sold my fair share of FCFS products (cars,snowmobiles,trucks,4 wheelers,boats,trailers)if there is competition i at least let people know and call them to make sure they are still coming before we sell it from under them. If your from a distance away do not bother with this shelter. 4 hours of our weekend shot.

The staff helped us learn EVERYTHING about how to handle a new puppy, and made it fun at the same time. The staff clearly loves and cares for every animal they have in that shelter. A great decision for people looking to find a great animal to love!

We have adopted 3 kitties from them. The employees that work there are friendly,knowledgeable, and very helpful. The kitties that we adopted all have issues, some worse than others, but with the help of the women that work there, we knew what to do to help the kitties heal. I would recommend this shelter to everyone!!

I adopted my kitten from here a couple of months. The staff and the foster mom were just amazing! The vet still contacted me months later making sure my kitty was in good condition and I am still in contact with the foster mom just future cats I may adopt. They were very nice and patient with me and responded to me in a timely manner (FB messenger, email, phone calls). I would highly recommend!

Our cat was turned in here by some wonderful soul and they got right on finding us and we went and got him, they were so wonderful with him and gave us all the info they could and now im happy to say hes been reunited with his ever so grateful family and hes doing wonderfully. Staff are helpful and friendly. unfortunately my last 2 visits were dropping off my dog to be cremated and pick back up, which was pretty quick. It was done in a week or two. They also sent a sympathy card signed by the staff which was very nice to do too

I love volunteering here and seeing all the cute animals. I took the volunteer class in November 2019 and began coming to the shelter to volunteer in December 2019. There are friendly staff, who truly care about all the animals that come through the shelter. It is great to see the animals get adopted to their fur-ever home. Volunteers are able to sign up to help Hawk Creek in parades as well as participate in other events.

My mom adopted a cat from Hawk Creek a couple of months ago, and they were super great to deal with- they were very helpful in answering my moms questions, even the simple ones.Their facilities are well kept, and the adoption process is a simple yet thorough one. They give you lots of support in your first few days at home- they even checked up with my mother and made sure our new kitty was adjusting well.Adopt, don’t shop!!
