Had an awesome Ice fishing trip with my father. They put us on some great fish! Skid house was super warm and plenty comfortable! Owner and staff were great at communications with the odd start to the ice season. Left our last resort for lack of communication. This will be our new resort for our annual ice fishing trip!!!Safety: Some resorts seemingly put money ahead of Safety. Beachside seemed very Safety conscious and made us feel comfortable.

Was just there over the past weekend ice fishing and was not impressed at all! They charge $40 for accessing the lake for a weekend, which wasn't too bad for the pricing since their roads were pretty nice and wide, so top notch there. But when they plow a road out to open up more fishing areas (out to 1st reef to be exact) they charge you an additional $50 yes I said $50 just because they only plowed a road out to that area and no spots for fish houses to even set up!If we had known this beforehand, we would have NOT come out of Beachside Resort to go ice fishing. What kind of resort only plows main roads and not spots for fish houses to park in?!?!?! Where are we supposed to set up our fish house on the main roads????I definitely do NOT RECOMMEND THEM unless, of course, you want to pay not only the $40 for the access pass but an additional $25 to $50 just for a spot for your fish house!Sorry to say this but we will DEFINITELY NOT be coming back here again we will gladly take our fish house to other resorts on the lake that only charge for the access pass and not additional money for a plowed spot off the main road!

This is a very nice place and the prices are great. I would give it 5 stars except for an incident involving one of plow drivers. This is my bad for sure but he handledIt poorly to say the leastHe had plowed a 1 foot barrier across a road and I drove over it then instead of telling me to turn around it's not safe he unleashed a tirade of obscenities that in front of my grandson. This was very rude andprofessional. How about putting a cone or a stick to mark the spot for safety reasons. That being said I would probably go back this Is just the actions of one employee.

Stayed in a sleeper skid house on Jan 25 & 26. The communication with Ben was awesome! He responded to my email very promptly and answered all my questions. I upgraded to a bigger house a couple days before arriving and he still honored the buy one night get one free that I booked back in November. The check process was smooth. The plow driver was waiting for us at the house to go over everything. He was great and checked in with us a couple times a day to see if we needed anything. The fish house was super clean and very comfortable and we caught a bunch of fish. We definitely will be back!

Overall, of the resort and lake, it the best. It brought lot of memory back from grew up and cabin feeling. Cabin is great for those who want a oldie cabin feeling that you are deep in the wood or memory of past that miss the feeling of cabin feeling from old day. Easy access to town for dinner or small, cute store. 4 minute to Isle for cafe with best breakfast meal or small store and close to few events like national park and casino.Great view of the lake in summer for sure...It can be breath taker view all year round. From many resorts I have known at affordable price this is the best place I would recommend to go as it in right spot for everything you need to escape city life or escape from Nosie life to recharge yourself.

Cant say about lodging but the ice road they plowed was very wide and clean. Friendly walk in to pay for a day pass and plow trucks maintaining and helping out everywhere. Caught some nice perch with my grandpa going out in a portable. Would recommend for anglers looking for a place to get on the lake.

We had a great experience through Beachside Resorts. The landing and roads on the lake were amazing and marked well. They also had a contest every weekend for the biggest fish as long as you paid the road pass. You use the road pass in the picture of your fish with clear measurements. Thought that was really cool, and have prizes each weekend for the winners! They also had bait when available. Would recommend to others!

Rented 3 wheelhouses for our annual ice fishing trip. The wheelhouses were clean and well kept. While we had a storm and cold front come in right before our trip which impacted the fishing, we still were able to manage some large walleyes each day, including 4 keepers within the 21-23" slot. Most importantly, we were able to enjoy time together. First time renting through Beachside and will be our go-to for the future.

Not a very pleasant experience, this was our second visit as our first was great! We now believe that was due to pretty much having the place to ourselves the first time around. We had rented the ice castles for camping they were very nice and clean it was mostly the local residents that had permanent spots that made our stay very uncomfortable. We first had what we thought was our picnic table removed from our area by our neighbors as they were having a party and must have needed it more than we did. Then we had a little boy that was at our neighbors come over to our area and ransacked the place, he was picking up our chairs trying to place them in our coolers, he was putting bubbles in our drinks and waving swords in our faces telling us we were going to be annoyed with him by the end of the night, which we were! All this went on while his family watched and did nothing even after asking the boy to leave. I did have my own kids there so it's not that I don't like kids I would have much rather been annoyed by my own than one I didn't even know! We had lots of people walking through our area which is fine but they were rude and would just give us very dirty looks when we would just say hi. It was just overall a very unpleasant experience. If you do plan on staying I recommend getting a cabin as they are away from the permanent trailers, I think all the rentals should be placed together and the permanent trailers should be together that might make for a more pleasant stay. The trailers are very close together. I have never woke up and packed so fast after camping anywhere! I will most definitely not be returning and wasting my money on feeling uncomfortable all weekend!After I left this review the owner did reach out and assured me this would not happen to any new visitors. I do appreciate that they reached out and looked into the matter so I will be giving them 3 stars instead of the 2 as the resort itself is good and we did have a really good time during our first visit!

We just left Beachside and we had a great weekend!! The cabin was super cute and clean, just what we were looking for! We rented a pontoon on Friday and Rick was very helpful in getting us all hooked up! We met all of our neighbors and even strolled down to Muggs Thursday night with them for some drinks, live music and (in my opinion) the best chili in town!! 😂 They allow pets so we were able to hang out with our bulldog and he had a blast!! Thank you for a great weekend and we will be back!!

just got back from a week long stay. Beautiful simple lake cabin... sunsets are amazing.. Beds were very comfy... really everything you need including a gas grill...wonderful deck to sit out on.. Full size fridge fits everything you need... great breeze coming off the lake... Ben and Tara were very accommodating in making sure all our needs were met. I will definitely go back and recommend this place to everyone!!

Ice fishing for a few days in January. Second time we went through beachside to rent ice castle. Would have given 5 stars but heater kicked on our second night and didn't turn off so had to keep windows open to keep unit cool. Other then that trip was excellent. Booking is fast and easy and emails are always promptly answered. Did one day with guide Mike Verdeja and he is one of the hardest working guides I've fished with. He's friendly, full of knowledge and is always working to put you on fish. Would highly recommend beachside for ice castle rentals and guide service.

Customer service is top notch call for a plow 20 minutes later were fishing. I needed propane I texted and set my phone down and ordered my food for lunch which was great guy comes in minutes later tells me to eat and where I needed to go when I was done. There's so many other things I can name that they have gone over above and beyond what other places I have been. Great job at keeping the roads safe and open!The cafe food is great if you haven't eaten there you need to try the auger.Just want to say thanks for everything you have done so far and what you will be doing the rest of the year Ben tara and your crew your the best

I would have assumed ( my fault ) that the $80 I paid for 24 hours on your road system would have maybe included the 5 minutes or so it took for your guy to plow and pull me out of the spot I was stuck in. A little bit of helpfulness and customer service still goes a long way in my book. Again, 100% my fault for expecting a little help for the price I already paid. Not necessarily the money, it's the principal. Thanks again.

Team was very helpful and accommodating. They replied with emails each time I had a question and had good answers. They set up almost everything we needed. The cabin was very tight for 6 grown men but it was a great experience.

Nice relaxing resort with a great view. The owners are making great strides in improvements to cabins as well as RV park. The cafe serves great menu options. Staff as well as owners are very friendly. Highly recommended!

Nice camp ground but high priced for having to take a shower with stinky sewer smelling water. The cabins need to be updated if they wanna charge as much as they do. But all in all a nice place to relax by the lake. As for the restaurant the walleye I dont think was walleye but them tacklebox hash browns are great. Walleye Dundee never charged extra for having other people there this beachside wants to charge 50 per person ouch if a cabin sleeps 6 you should be able to have six not get charged extra. Walleye Dundee was better priced.

Everyone at the resort were super helpful..the ice road out 6+ miles was great..a few more signs would be helpful especially when everything starts looking the same..Fish were caught and memories made ! Thank you for all your hard work!

Best place to eat on Mills Lacs! Generous porshions great prices! Very Cute inside loved it makes you feel like your on a short getaway! Friendly Staff. Will stop in again soon!

Cafe has a great breakfast and lunch with an amazing and friendly staff. The rv park is in the midst of a complete overhaul. Water lines, 20, 30 and 50 amp electric hook up lines installed for every rv site. Plus numerous other projects going on to make this a top notch Mille Lacs lake resort.
