Beautiful west metro brewery with a wide variety of well executed beers. They also have a nice location on the water with plenty of seating indoors and out. Dog friendly with plenty to do between sports on TV, to games and stages for live music. When I when they had a hot sauce tasting, and 3 food trucks. If you’re in the west side of the twin cities, like great beer and a good time check this place out! (Side note they are very friendly to the home brew crowd and brewing community in general) TOP!

Great brewery set up right on Lake Minnetonka. They have a good selection of IPA and 8 other beers of varying style. The taproom is cozy and situated quasi-restaurant style. Staff was prompt and friendly on my visit. There was also a Voyageur Sauna onsite during my visit. Matt the Sauana Steward was simply amazing. Knowledgeable about temperature therapy, and beer, snd engaging. I for sure want to check them out in the spring/summer to watch the boats pull up. And also want to come and watch a Vikings game on their outdoor screen on the patio.

Outdoor on the lakefront! Great atmosphere. The beer is good, a wide variety. Lots of non-hoppy versions if you are hop averse, but plenty of dark and hop-headed options as well. Couple NIPAs, sours/gose, pils &helles, strong ales...the lot. Flights available so easy to try a variety. Pretty much wide open layout so no A/C here. Indoor and outdoor seating and in between. Tented outdoor space. Snack items always available, but food trucks are the main staple here. Parlour truck was the attraction the two times we went 😊. A non stop flow of boat traffic as well as street traffic.

Cozy, warm, great place to catch a good beer. Really big patio with a nice view of the lake, which would be great if there's a pretty sunset. Food truck was available with easy ordering via phone. Definitely recommend as it hits the thumbs up on beer and ambiance!

Really neat brewery right near the water. They are making some of the best beers (especially IPA) in the area. Workers were all very friendly and helpful. They have both a nice indoor and outdoor space for enjoying your beers.

Good beer, but depending on your bartender determines how full of a glass of sinister smile I got. 1st time I got a full glass. 2nd and 3rd time I got 3/4 glass.

Some of the best beer in the state with a great vibe to go with it. All are truly welcome (younger individuals, to families, to older people). Also, boat access is a huge added benefit. Also shout out to Jay, best bartender!

(Updated 3-8-2021)Josh and the gang here have converted a forgettable structure into an enviable destination in the west metro. The taproom rivals many in the twin cities and the addition of unique brewing has set them apart from the core metro offerings. It is worth the trip for the great atmosphere and comprehensive menu. What I like most about this brewery has less to do with the location and scenery, but more to do with the good overall atmosphere and mood of staff and patrons. Taprooms like this are more of a buzz of social activity, as opposed to a place to get buzzed.Beers are always on rotation at this spot which means rarely are two trips out going to have the same menu. Here the beers are more of a hit than a miss, with all tasting like, and within the style of what is on the label. Nothing worse than being poured a “Hazy” IPA that you can totally see through! On that subject, if you are like me and don’t trust a beer you can see through, you will love their selection of Hazy, NEIPA, Porters, and fruited wheat beers that make your glass more of a color swatch than a beer tinted lens. That is, unless you go for one of their Lagers which provide great optics ;) . Overall, they tend to have something for everyone, unless your favorite is something along the lines of Coors light. Quality and variety are on the same page as Wild Mind Ales, however Back Channel has a much larger patio and MUCH easier parking.Be sure to try out different styles and try seating both indoors and outside (if weather permits). Outdoor has plenty of space to spread out, and offers great views!(With exception of the Fruited Wheat ale, I purchased all beers for this review)

I really liked this Brewery (atmosphere, location, scenery) and the beers were really good to. The staff were inviting and the took time to orient us as this was our first time out there. We tried a number of beers and liked them all. They have a great patio space and are open to doggos of you're bringing one of them.

Really enjoyed this, nice patio setting, great beer (I had the Foamy Roots Hazy IPA), and the Yucca fries from the food truck are very tasty. I also had one of their bean, cheese, and pork tortilla items.

Busy place, good beer. Food trucks when we visited, otherwise it's just packaged food. Brick oven bus pizzas were great.

This is exactly what we needed. Awesome beer, didn't have 1 that I didn't like, kid friendly. Great patio with views of the lake. Many choices on tap, easy parking, food via food trucks and local menus. Come check them out... hopefully soon transient docking, for now just park anyway and grab a few growlers and sweatshirts.

Phenomenal beer that's well balanced. Indoor space with high top tables, granite bar with tons of seating, and TVs for sportsball fans. Outdoor area with both covered and uncovered seating next to the lake.

Great brewery here in Mound! The patio has quaint view of lake. Beer you ask? Terrific! Our favorites are the cream ale (crisp, hint of apples) and the porter (smooth and oaky).

This place is hot... Inside. It was so hot. But the beer is damn good. If you're not sure, get the cream ale. Worth the drive if you're not from the area. Large outdoor patio and usually a food truck parked outside. Indoor seating can be tight so either be prepared to stand or head outside. Great stop for bikers.

I like the vibe and appeal of this brewery. They have a very wide selection of beers on tap, including a BA stout, 2 imperial stouts, a sour and a variety of the expected lagers and IPA's. The space is open, the location is cool, the staff is friendly and k owledgeable. If you are up for trying a new place, I highly recommend Back Channel. With the space, staff and constant rotation of food trucks, if you dont have a good time, you're doing it wrong. Cant wait to go back and try more beers.

Always a great place and fun atmosphere. Food trucks there in abundance. Some of the best dark beers (imperial stouts) in the metro. Staff is attentive.

Came here for pre birthday celebration with a larger group. It is for sure a good brewery. Loved the inside and they had a good food truck. I liked the CBD selection too.

Serious brewing cred here. From the lighter offerings such as their lagers and cream ale (highly recommend this one) to the deliciously rich and complex stouts, porters and specialty types such as the scotch ale (wee heavy). Give the bowl a try when offered for the fresh IPA on tap that week. Seriously, the bowl is legit, not a novelty. Cheers!

Quaint ma and pa brewery with interesting flavors and a chic charm. Important to note this will be amazing in the summer with the lake access and out door seating.
