I was pleasantly surprised to learn we have a coffee bar in Preston! I tested the waters with a cappuccino- no flavorings or sweeteners to hide behind; either it will be good or not. Rod N’ Reel makes a good cappuccino! Pleasant aroma, nice froth, just the right amount of bitter but not burnt. So why not 5 stars? Because I had no idea it was a live coffee bar. For months I thought this was just a set of display shelves in front of the deli selling some locally roasted beans. There are no signs listing what drinks they sell or prices. Their equipment is behind the display; I had to ask if they had an espresso maker. The only reason I knew this was here is I heard someone else mention a new coffee shop in Preston Foods. I suggest adding a wall menu of drinks inside, and either include that on the Preston Foods website, or better yet add Rod N’ Reel to Google Maps with a new dedicated website. I hope this grows and sticks around, they do a good job.

A great small town grocery store where everyone is so friendly. They are always more than willing to help. They will also carry your bags out to your vehicle of needed. I've seen them carry it over a block for people too. There are daily specials in the deli and their broasted chicken is so tender.2022 - And now they have a coffee shop and it is quite good!

This store is great. They even buy fresh tomatoes and lettuce from a local grower so that they give a choice on those tomatoes from Mexico.

Employees there are always super friendly and they always seem to have what I need. Just like any other company there has been one or two bad experiences, but no one's perfect and if out of the 20+ years I've been shopping there there's only been the few bad interactions then that's still a win in my book. Keep up the good work.

Food was not the freshest. Watch the product. I wish I would have gotten the cashier's name. She was so sweet and personable. She is great. Bob carried my groceries to the vehicle. He too was so nice. I could have talked to him all day. Very nice small town grocery store. Cannot say enough about the hospitality.

I live about 30 minutes away from Preston, but for their homemade meatball mix, I would drive 100 miles! Their meatball mix, which also doubles as a meatloaf mix, is to live and die for! I couldn't wait to sample one while they were roasting. I highly recommend it for a memorable addition to your Holiday meal. Merry Christmas, Everyone! (:

Excellent small town grocery store. Friendly employees, clean store. The broasted chicken is a delicious lunch special. They support a lot of community programs and services. They pack your groceries, and take it to your car for you. If the fresh produce was improved a bit, it would certainly be 5 stars.

I changed my opinion about this place. Sure, it is a small town grocery store but, pretty decent sale items and good meat prices on certain specials. They have all the basics and.... They have Chester's Broasted Chicken !

I don't know what Mr Mach was expecting when he walked into a grocery store in a city with a population of 1000ish people. I'm not Wolverine with a superhuman sense of smell but this store is clean, quite well stocked, the employees are very helpful and I would argue that it is one of the BEST local grocery stores I've ever been to. Gluten free options, solid meat counter, very decent fresh produce section, good prices, and quite frankly many many things you wouldn't think you'd find in a small town grocery store. If they don't have it, ask to speak to a Mgr and chances are about 90% they can get it for you in a timely manner. Sometimes the meat selection and other specialty products can get pretty thin, especially on a holiday weekend, but that's to be expected in a small town. If you don't want to travel to Rochester for your products, plan ahead and simply ask for them. Chances are they'll have them for you in very short order without the need for travel.

Me and my boys are staying in lanesboro and they don't have any real grocery store there so 15 minutes up the road we went and got mostly what we needed nice friendly staff very helpful take your stuff out to the car go down to earth people check it out

Like in many American supermarkets they ask you 'paper or plastic', but much more environmental-relevant would be fixing the lacking air-conditioning. The whole store (and the food) smells like ac.The price signs are small and strange. Nectarines I bought turn into premium ones at the checkout (for the double price), but they were definitive not premium. Also a quarter turned into a nickel, somehow.There is not much choice in Preston, so better shop in Spring Valley.
