Disappointed in my visit today. I found a boy’s shirt on clearance for my nephew at such a good price and quality. When I went to the self checkout and scanned the shirt, it prompted a team member to be called over. She used her code and said that she couldn’t sell the shirt to us because it rang up as $0.00. I showed her the tag said $3.00, but she said they are not selling it in store anymore so she could not sell it to me. I thought that was absolutely silly since they had several on the rack. She took the shirt and walked away. I really liked the shirt and am upset with the way the team member took the shirt away from me. I found a good deal and was turned away because Target employees failed to remove things off the shelf? Items that are perfectly fine? Ridiculous.

I don't spend much time in the city but this location is solid. Grocery and everything else you may need is at this location. Parking can be a bit chaotic with only a one sided entrance. There's a lot of parking but the majority wants to park by the door (common) Give people grace because it's the only Target nearby. Big space and the inventory seems solid, I didn't see empty shelves. Staff were friendly. Great areas for kids to enjoy themselves. The kid(s) area seems to be bigger than usual. Books, toys, activities.... etc A kid can enjoy themselves throughly. Checking out can be a great ordeal. Not sure on the staffing ratio but the registers all had lines and no matter where you walked, you had to wait to checkout. That gives you a picture of what it can be on your visit. I came here more than once and it always seem to be busy so this my be a stop you want to make an hour before close. Let me know if you had a different experience.

I went to Northfield Target about an hour ago, and I'm very discouraged. I wanted to buy a sweater and when bringing it up to the cashier, I explained that it isn't marked 50 to 70 percent off as the sign said, and when she checked the price, it did NOT give that discount as regular price was $30.00 dollars and was marked $21.00. Others were $15.00. She was short with me saying "it has stripes, they aren't the 50 to 70 percent off". I told her but the sign says that and she basically said I read it wrong. I told her not trying to complain, but that's very misleading. I even showed her my pictures!Since she was at the return register where they can also ring up, I asked if she could ring up the rest of my purchases, but that I won't be buying that sweater. She got real huffy with me, and while I was loading the belt with my purchases, trying to get around that plastic partition, she had to wait in between me putting them up, and gave a sigh like she's mad she has to wait. Funny, I was already over the sweater, but she grew an attitude that I didn't deserve. I got my receipt and money back, then when leaving, she turned her back on me, krinkeled up the sweater, throwing it in a bin, and proceeded talking with another coworker.Funny, as all I can tell you is that she's young, blond, long hair pulled back, glasses, and EXTREMELY tight jeans on. I thought their employees were ALL supposed to wear name tags, but she didn't have one on. Hmmm, how convenient.I should have went into self check however I had a box of kitty litter and since I have a lower back injury, decided to have cashier ring me up. I'll be going to Lakeville Wal-Mart from now on.

Spent 40 min in electronics trying to get help. There was nobody to be found. Had one person call for help and nobody showed up 1pm on a saturday. No help to be found. Very very poor customer service

I'm updating my review from 5 years ago. I still don't like this Target, because it's small and they don't offer the selection of larger stores like those in Apple Valley, BUT the staff is friendly and helpful. My biggest frustration is they generally only have one checkout line open excluding Self-service. Some people prefer live contact with a human being.

Do not go to this one anymore they closed self check out and only put 2 employees on the register so if you’re running in for a quick errand be prepared to wait 25 minutes plus just to check out

Very disappointed by the customer service. Was doing a curb side pick up and waited for over 30 minutes. I tried to callcthe store 3 times but each time was hung up on.

Decent store but limited selection leaves alot to be desired. You may be wasting your time looking for items they don't even carry. Don't bother the pharmacist with your stupid questions though he's a busy man and doesn't have time for your bull$h1t. Fortunately I found a super friendly stock person that was more than happy to help me.

I went specifically for a vitamin that they carry when it seemed impossible to find it at other drug stores. They had it in stock. I found their infant clothes selection to be fun to browse and found a few outfits for my newborn. This Target is clean and organized. I did the self checkout which went smoothly.

Big thumbs up to the pharmacist working the supper hour on Friday, October 7. My husband and I had come for flu and Covid vaccinations. Everything was backed up due to the pharmacist working solo at the time. He handled everyone with patience and respect despite several people in line expressing their dissatisfaction. Kudos and more for him going above and beyond in a difficult situation.

The store is well lit and maintained. The cleaning staff does good work in the store and bathrooms. There is a problem keeping high demand items on the shelves, but that's not terribly unusual for department stores in this area.The real problems come at checkout. They have the usual self checkout stations, about six of them, which work well for those who don't mind providing free labor to Target, or don't have many items in their cart. They're modern and seem to function well with minimal problems.Service checkout is another matter. They have ten registers but typically only keep one open at a time. The others are there seemingly for show, or holiday shopping schedules. Normally I don't see this as being a problem, however, during the busiest hours of the day this presents as a major inconvenience to shoppers who are loaded up with full carts. Expect long wait times for checkout service.I don't know know if it's a staffing problem, the indifference of the leads, who'll look on uncaringly (or helplessly) from the self-checkout monitoring station, as eight or more fully loaded carts start stacking up, obstructing the flow of foot traffic into the store. Perhaps the store is just mismanaged, or corporate is trying to maximize profit by limiting hiring. In any case, it makes for a undesirable shopping experience.The older cashiers are pleasant. The teenagers could probably use a little more seasoning/training in customer service. Expect a little attitude. It'll be a bit of a wait from staff at push call button stations (electronics, home improvement, etc) there simply isn't enough of them to cover the whole store effectively.To summarize; I recommend you buy the bulk of your shopping needs from other retailers, and limit the number of items you acquire from this location in a single trip. You'll save yourself the headache I've grown all too familiar with.

I honestly don't know why this target is still open. There's no reason for that 1 to still be open. It's incredibly small the selection is awful. They have like 2 employees. Target is complaining they are losing money they need to start closing a lot of their stores they are overrated and there are way too many of them. We just don't need that many targets

Target never fails me! This store is just the right size - not too overwhelming, yet fully stocked and rarely missing anything important. They could improve their grocery section a bit. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Wish there was a way to give 4.75 stars!

The reasoning behind the high score is that the Northfield location in particular, has really stepped up their game. The dressing room attendant was very attentive and friendly. Being a boutique manager, I really enjoyed the attention and helpfulness that was offered, as you see in small, local boutiques so way to go Target! Keep up the great work and continue training your employees to be a helpful and friendly face that asks, " Can I help you with anything today?" Bravo!

location, location, location, Polly the check out lady that's always friendly!! AND efficient! Sometimes a rare quality these days. Please Target remove those HUGE carts in the aisles that are blocking customers from being able to move their carts freely!

Some guy helped me navigate through the Cartwheel stuff and he was really helpful. However, when it came time to check out I discovered that a sign in the paper products area promising $15 off had expired two days ago. That was in little tiny type hidden in a corner of the sign. Query: why not take the sign down if it's obsolete rather than waiting for the customer to find out at checkout? This is pretty much bait and switch and really bad for a great store like Target.
