Definitely worth a visit! Easy layout, tons of fun stuffies, gifts to be found, bargain section etc. the kids content was a favorite for us tons of jellycats, toys ranging from $1 and up you could spend a hour or more just browsing.

Content Kids is my go-to place for books for my daughter. Thanks to the personalized recommendations of Content's knowledge staff, my daughter has found several series that she loves, and I believe that she is a better reader because of it.

Went on a cute weekend getaway with my girlfriend to a b&b and of course bookstores were on the list! This place was absolutely amazing and cute. We came back twice that same day! Rachel was so helpful and found me the best sapphic romance books! I would say I would come back and it’s definitely worth a 50 minute drive to do so!

I loved this cute little bookstore. They had a variety of new releases as well as older ones. I love the bookshelves here they're so aesthetically & organized by genres. Price were fair & I found even cheaper than big stores. Also have a rewards program, which I think is awesome, it justifies me spending more on books. Will be my new spot for book buying!

Content Bookstore is such a charming and wonderful place. All of the employees were kind and considerate, and they each took time to recommend books and make personal connections with me as I shopped. The care shown by all the employees was lovely, and I will definitely be back!

It's a nice independent bookstore. The selection is good and curated. There is a kid's bookstore attached so you know where the YA and kids material is. It was a bit hard to find the entrance (located next to the yarn store).

The convenience and cost of ordering books online cannot be overstated. We have moved our shopping to online stores and I will never look back. However, what these online distribution centers will never have is the personal touch and no one is better at it than the hard working staff at Content Bookstore. When I need something special or need advice, they are always too happy to assist and will not stop until you leave happy. I feel immensely privileged to have a small and local bookstore in my hometown and encourage all - even if just visiting beautiful Northfield - to stop in, take a look at their incredibly diverse book collection, and browse for that special gift I know you'll find.

Absolutely wonderful toy store in the back! I love searching for quality toys and books, and the selection here blew me away. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was collecting items for a customer who called in to request unicorn themed toys for a birthday party - great service to keep in mind as she definitely knows her stuff. There is also a website we will make use of as we are not local. Check this place out - fun for kids and kids-at-heart!

This place is amazing! They recently expanded the children's section back in the spring and have done an excellent job incorporating various kids books, games, activity resources and a few cool toys that aren't the typical cheap junk. I also love how they arrange and display their featured literary gems; it is a visual feast! My kids (10 and 6) spent 2 hours just perusing, playing and reading today. There is so much to browse on their shelves that I could sit for hours. Long live these beautiful local bookstores!

I was so excited to see how many LGBTQ+ books they had out during pride month. Not just one section, they had them dispersed and displayed throughout the store which was wonderful. And the staff was so friendly and helpful. I will 100% buy from them again!

Fantastic bookstore with knowledgeable, friendly staff. They helped me pick out books for my four grandchildren, then wrapped them individually, gave me gift tags to fill out, and shipped them off for less than I would have paid at the post office. When I buy books for myself, I give them very specific criteria and they give me great recommendations. This store is a gem!

I’m a Content shopper for life! The staff go above and beyond to be helpful and kind, and are so knowledgeable. The store is always cozy and immaculate, and they’ve got great new titles on display every time I stop in.Recently I was walking my dog and just happened to have a book to pick up as well. I called to see if they could bring my prepaid book out, and they did! Along with dog treats for my companion, which was just so thoughtful.If that’s not enough, they have a great rewards program too. Six stars!

Nice people, nice store. The staff is wonderful, kind, knowledgeable and very accommodating. The sections are nicely labeled and there's plenty of graphic novels from people you've never heard of.The store is small so the selection is a bit limited, but they'll happily order anything you ask for an call you when it comes in.They have joke items against President Trump and other politicians piled around their register. If they'd keep politics like that out of their product lineup, this would be a perfect 10 of a store.I go there as often as I can to find something fun to read. :)

I love this bookstore and visit as often as I can. My only reason for not giving it a 5 is that as a customer-it feels non inclusive to anybody who is not left leaning. I wish there were not only stickers of democratic female politicians and fauci but also republicans who are well established. Amy Coney Barret could easily go on a sticker and even if you don’t approve of people liking her-some of your customers do. I understand that it’s privately owned and you likely want to represent only your values but it does feel very unwelcoming when only certain products are sold from one political bent. It just feels exclusive. And bad. Now I have had this issue with other places and the response is usually “find a bookstore that sells what you want instead.” Which would be Barnes and noble or Amazon. I truly want to support the little guy and shop around the corner but it seems they only want to include one side. I would happily support any business ALL THE MORE if they had more diversity of thought.Just my two cents.

This place is a GEM! It was an impromptu visit as I had come to town for another store nearby and to my misfortune, they were about 10 minutes from closing. I would have loved to have more time to look around. From what I DID see though, I will be back and update this review.

Fantastic bookstore in the heart of Northfield. Fully stocked shelves of every genre, from the best sellers that are being raved about to less trendy choices that pack an equal punch. Well organized, many books with helpful descriptions from the staff who loved them. The children’s area in the back will keep kids occupied for hours, full of constructive games, books, and playthings that will make them forget their phones while you push online booksellers to the back burner.You’ll definitely leave here with a book (or three... or six...)

The atmosphere is very zen, and the workers are so helpful! I had questions about some beeswax crayons and while they did not have personal experience with them they did research about them and looked up reviews for me so I would have a better idea about the product. Very fun place to be!

Nice, privately owned bookshop in the heart of Northfield. Visited on Small Business Saturday. The store is shaped like an L, with registers, adult and teen books, puzzles and little gifts and candies set up along the long arm of the L, children's toys and books were set up along the short arm of the L, in the back of the store. Two registers were set up in an attempt to social distance. Store was neat and well organized. "Recommended Reads" signs were peppered thought the store, though a bit small and hard to read. Social Distancing was difficult, due to the long slender shape of the store. Everyone wore masks.

Went to larger bookstore for recent book that was released. They didn't have it and only 1 on the way.Went to Content Bookstore next day. They not only knew exactly where a copy was in store, it was a signed copy!As always check local first, might be surprised.Staff is always helpful and the store has a large kids section as well.

Excellent bookstore with lots of events. A great contribution to the cultural life of Northfield.The new kids area is also great with a good selection of children's toys. They also have a good selection of boardgames, including a lot of newer German style games.

This is the small bookstore you've dreamed of. Featured in a Hallmark Christmas movie, for goodness' sake! Jessica, Nate, and their whole crew are the best. I've shopped here for years, and have had nothing but top-notch experiences every time.
