Beautiful place. Rain, snow or shine. Simply beautiful. We saw reviews that line to the Gondola were long. But when we got there on a gloomy Friday 9/29/23. It wasn't long at all. Actually there was no line. My brother and sister and I had the most amazing time. The view is spectacular. The colors were mesmerizing. It looks like a painting. Picasso!!!! Love love love our experience there. Would love to go back and this time stay the night since we did a day trip from Minneapolis.

Have to take a Gondola ride up there - was a fun thing for us to do while visiting MN - Took my grandson & he loved it! Great views from on top of the mountain where this restaurant is located - restaurant itself is cool with its location - menu is pretty basic & not overly priced considering the location - cafeteria style works well with the amount of people that pass through there.Definitely recommend it - if anything - just for the experience - then we were off to the alpine slides which are in same area - (have to take the Gondola ride down) another fun place that has been there for many years 😀

My family and I loved it, every second of it! It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth trying out. The view, the hiking trails, and the Gondola was all worth it. We didn't try the ski lifts, but hoping to try it out next time.

A bit pricey especially since you have to pay $30 to take the gondola 🚠 to get to it. I got a burger, fries and a soda which came to $26. The sign on the soda machine says no free refills and they give you a little 12 oz cup. No one paid attention to that and everyone was getting refills anyway. In my opinion, rightfully so. The burger was good, the staff were nice and the facility was clean.

Beautiful views of Lake Superior. Food is decent, pretty standard fare. Ample seating. Price of the gondola ride to get here is too high if you don't want to hike up the mountain.

Okay so this little trip kind of had me up in Aurora because I am afraid of heights and I was trying to help myself by going on the skyliner and boy we'll re-up high I didn't freaked out not even once because I was thinking about good thoughts which helped a lot but definitely beautiful pictures and you can't beat these

Classy place took the gondola up with my two daughters, we hiked the trails on moose mountain, it was nice we also went back down just to go to the alpine slide, that was fun too. I recommend it if you are in the mood for fun.

The food was so much better than expecting. You can expect to pay a hefty price tag for it, but it’s worth it. Especially, if you just got done with a hike and need to warm up.

Views are amazing. They could use signage on how the process works to order. Signs say "Reserved check in at the bar" on the windows yet you seat yourself after you order your food at the bar. They do bring it out for you. The food was made quickly. We took the gondella up the mtn and my daughter (9yo) and I loved that. Pics don't do it justice.

We loved this place. On the way to Grand Portage and Isle Royale, we decided to stop and ride the gondola to the summit. It was a great decision! The views were amazing. The system was recently updated and the ride is super smooth.At the top there are some great trails leading to spectacular views.The Summit Chalet serves snacks and has comfortable outdoor seating.

Always an amazing experience during all 4 seasons that Minnesota has. This time of year is great for the fall colors and people come to see them, so anticipate others. Highly recommend this place!!!

The Margherita Chicken Sandwich with coleslaw was way overpriced ($18)for what you get. The sandwich was pretty good and had a reasonable amount of flavor, but the creamy coleslaw was not creamy and mostly tasted of pepper and lime maybe.... My husband was not impressed by the blah cheeseburger. The view was nice. The ride to the Chalet is overpriced for what it is. Should cost more like $20 instead....

The view from the Summit Chalet is breathtaking! It's a beautiful spot at yhe top of the mountains. They also have hiking trails you can take from this spot. You have to take the Gondola to get to the top.

The view is unbelievably gorgeous! Well worth the price of the gondola ride $68 for 1 senior, 1 adult, and 1 child. The downfall is that although there is an attendant, the seats were not disinfected between people and there were no wipes to do it yourself. Many people not masked.

Nice place to grab a bite and take in the view when you take the gondola up to Caribou Mountain. The seating makes it feel empty in the summer (it is a ski resort after all), but it is a nice place with a huge deck overlooking Lake Superior from atop the mountain. The food is good, especially for what is in essence a concession stand/bar. The prices are a little high but the portion size matches, and the food quality is higher end than you might expect. I personally had the pulled pork poutine, which really was enough for 2 people (maybe three). My wife's veggie burger was more akin to a half pound restaurant style burger rather than those skinny pucks you find at grocery stores. Overall it is a nice place to grab lunch and a beautiful view when up north. (Then stop off at the North Shore Winery on your way back down to the lake).Vegetarian options: They have salads, veggie burgers, pizza, hummus plates, etc. A decent number of vegetarian options.

Beautiful overlook of Lake Superior. The chalet is nice enough. The food is what you would expect from a resort chalet on top of the slopes: mostly all fried food or burgers, with a few options for prepackaged sandwiches. The food prices are what you would expect from a ski chalet, more expensive than you would like to pay, but still affordable.When we were there, they had live music during lunch. The music was great, but pretty loud for the venue. It made it too difficult to hear anyone at your table.

The food in the chalet was sooooo expensive. It's cafeteria style food. I bought onion rings, 8.50, 12.00 for a hamburger, a drink, and Hummus, 13.00.Bring a picnic!The view and ride? Gorgeous 🍂 🍁

Good views, took the summer gondola ride which was a neat perspective. Prices are a bit rich for what you get. I hike far better views locally for free.
