Rented Lodge #14; great location to Lutsen Mt. Working with Cascade Vacation Rentals was GREAT. Switched dates and had to adjust our arrival time; VERY nice customer service and prompted responses. (picture is the sunrise from the master bedroom)

My family rented North Haven and it was wonderful. Everyone had their own bedroom, the kitchen had everything you needed to make meals, there is a large sitting area by the fireplace to read which would be nice in the cooler months. We used the sitting area down on the lake and enjoyed Lake Superior. The rental office was very helpful. We will definitely be looking into using Cascade Vacation Rentals again for our next North Shore vacation.

We had a wonderful opportunity to stay at one of Cascade Vacation Rentals property north of SilverBay,MNIt was a newer, well appointed and beautifully built cabin. It was warm, fully furnished with a stone fireplace and television. The two bedrooms upstairs had a magnificent view of Lake Superior as well as a bathroom on that level. There was also a bedroom with a private bath on the main level. An additional bathroom was off the kitchen as was a clothes washer and dryer. There was an area nearby fto put our puppy's cage.Towels for the kitchen as well as personal towels were provided. All kitchen supplies were available for use.The cabin itself was clean and tidy, something my Swedish heritage values. As a matter of fact, I think the cleaning people did a better job than I could do.Needless to say, this cozy cabin was also situated in a lovely setting. The only way it could have been better is for us to own it for ourselves.

Terrance Point. Have stayed in both 12B & 12A. The location is great. Right on the lake. Not far from Grand Marais. About five miles south. If you’re active the new black topped trail along highway 61 goes all the way into town now.The upscale finishes are beautiful. Heated tile floor, beautiful slate tile gas fireplace and bathroom. I love the modern teak furnishings. The retractable rotating tv with the privacy panels are very cool. I could live here. 😊

We stayed at Fox Cove in Lutsen in late May. Nice rental for two although there is another bedroom with a single bed so three people could stay. This smaller rental was very clean and had a lovely picture window view of Lake Superior.Stairs leading down to the rocks and the lake are close by.Note: There are three sets of stairs leading down to Fox Cove from the parking space.

We rented the Aspenwood 6538, the location was great, the check-in instructions was easy to follow. But with the cleaning fee of $160 for 2nights, we would expect the place was speckling clean: the kitchen was dirty, all the silverware/plates/cups was dirty (like they never got washed :( ...), and that made us unsure what else wasnt cleaned, such a bummer for a beautiful property!

We visited for an Anniversary trip with another couple and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our rental was appointed nicely so we were able to cook our meals and enjoy them outside with waves crashing amidst such a beautiful setting. Communication with Cascade Vacation rentals was great. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic stay at the Lutsen House. Just the perfect fit for our family of 4 with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Beautiful view of Superior right off the back deck that can't be beat. It was my second time staying here and will not hesitate to return. Easy jaunt to Grand Marais and right down the street from Lutsen Mtn. and North Shore Winery. Don't forget to stop in at Caribou Cream and pick up some of Herb's maple syrup goodies...Everything you need is right here to enjoy a nice relaxing get away to the Shore. Thanks, Cascade Vacation Rentals!

My husband was attending a workshop at the North House Folk School the last week in September. We rented the Northern Lights cabin since they allow pets (for additional fee). This little cabin was absolutely perfect for us! It is a few short blocks from the North House Folk School and was also easy walking distance to many pet friendly spots around Grand Marais.

We just finished a short stay at Thorson's Landing, which I believe is a new property they are managing. The home was beautiful and immaculately clean and a much better price for what you get at nearby resorts. We did have to call Cascade a couple times during our stay and they were very responsive. We definitely recommend this property!

Nice property. Great views. Beautiful area. In floor heat nice feature. Disappointed with house for the cost:House not very clean upon arrival, lots of cobwebs everywhere, dirt by patio door, and crumbs on kitchen floor. No lamps in the bedrooms. No firewood provided for fireplace - firepit.Kitchen did not have hot water, kitchen faucet not mounted so moved all over each time it was used, no light above the stove, non functioning can opener (should be tossed & replaced), oven not working properly, dishwasher very smelly and had remnants of previous food debris, no dishwasher soap provided, only 1 wine glass in cupboard, dishes were chipped. no vacuum: only provided 2 kitchen hand towels, very sparse amenities. Description of amenities provided in listing were not accurate, plan on bringing A LOT of things from home for your stay.

We stayed at Terrace Point right outside of Grand Marias. As soon as we walked in the door there was a million dollar view! You could lay in bed and see the water, too! The place was just amazing and the fireplace made it cozy. We loved standing on the deck and listening to the waves crashing into the rocks. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to stay on the lake.

We stayed at Cobblestone Villas (#3) during a frigid and stormy week in January 2022, but the villa was beautiful, comfortable, and warm with fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom. The location couldn't be better: a short walk to Drury Lane Books, Cook County Whole Foods Coop, and Gunflint Mercantile for fudge, and a short drive to Voyageur Brewing and The Angry Trout. The villa is decorated with works by local artists. The wall of windows in the living room looks out on the lighthouse of Grand Marais Harbor and the soaring windows in the bedroom perfectly frame the winter constellation of Orion. Cascade staff were prompt to respond and quick to fix a water heater circuit that shut off in the cold weather. We had a great week here and we look forward to our next stay.

We had a wonderful stay at BlueFin Bay Resort. The townhome (14A and B) was in great condition and had a beautiful view of Lake Superior. Comfy beds. We loved the bonfires at night! It was a great place to stay and enjoy all the outdoor activities nearby.

My family stayed in Villa 3 at Cobblestone Cove in Grand Marais. There is a wonderful view of the harbor through the living room's patio doors and from the master bedroom. The location in town is perfect, with Artist's Point, restaurants and shops all within an easy walk. And it was handy to be able to park our car right outside the door. A comfortable spot for a pleasant mid-winter break.

We had a fantastic vacation rental experience at Amazing Grace and Always Grace properties through Cascade Vacation Rentals. I really appreciate the detailed care for our needs, handled by the Cascade office to insure that our needs were met in advance of arrival! We would definitely recommend Cascade, and use them again if we head to the north woods! Great vacation!

First off I rarely leave a review. I am easy to please! The view was within eye sight to one person on the porch, we looked straight into our neighbors dining table whilst on porch 👀, they closed the blinds no biggie for us I suppose. Not a deal breaker. It is a great location as far as easy drive to Canadian border, across the street from gondola and moguls grill and bar (5⭐️)BUT the BED. Deal breaker. The musty, moldy, over whelming smell deal breaker #2 if you are sensitive to that type of thing.

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2022 with a group 8…4 dads and 4 sons. The Stones Throw was a perfect location to day trip up and down 61. The lake front was amazing, and the highlight was just sitting on the deck and taking in the beauty that is Lake Superior. The boys loved exploring the lake shore and climbing on the rocks. Who wouldn’t, the location is fabulous. The house was great, the kitchen was well stocked and spacious for our group. With windows all around, you can take in the views from every room basically. The location was so convenient, and we would definitely recommend this for any group. The labyrinth of steps and boardwalks is extensive. I was impressed with the effort that must have taken to build! We’ll be back. Oh, and Lake Superior is really cold….even in July. One of the memories we took from this trip was a 42 degree dip in the lake. You should definitely try it!!

Stayed at MinneMe for 4 nights. I thought they might send out an email for me to give some feedback but I didn't get one so I figured I would post here! We had a good time and the cabin is nice but you dont really get what you pay for. They included plenty of towels (for 2 people), the beds were made nicely and the view here was amazing. We payed $2,000 (yes, you read that right) for these 4 nights. Mind you, the cabin had no TV or wifi (even though there is a dish attached to the house…BYOTV I guess?). I’m not saying it NEEDED to have those things; its a cabin in the woods - but good lord for that price I feel like it should have. There was a cleaning fee but when we got there there was tons of dog slobber and children's hand prints caked on the large windows. I actually ended up cleaning it myself because it was that bad haha. The bed was the worst I have ever experienced in my 26 years of life on earth. It was so firm it was practically concave. And the pillows were non existent. Both of us slept really poorly the whole trip. Again - its a cabin in the woods so on its own this stuff isn’t the issue - the issue is the price you pay for the subpar accommodations. Neither of us got signal out here so plan on getting at least 10-15 min away from the cabin in any direction to get service. The sink in the bathroom was draining pretty slow so it probably needed some work as well. All in all we had a good time, I dont necessarily regret booking this cabin but we probably will not be using Cascade again.

This is the second time I’ve used Cascade Vacation Rentals to stay at Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior-same unit both times-57A. The service has been friendly, exceptional and seamless. I had a few very minorissues that were addressed and resolved immediately whichI greatly appreciated. Both times my condo was impeccably clean and the blindswere wide open so the first thing I saw walking in was the most amazing, awe inspiring view of the lake!I highly recommend using Cascade to plan your next North Shore getaway and I know I will continue to use them every time I visit.

We loved The Lutsen House. Very close to lake with a mini water fall near the fire pit. Inside was very cozy and overall it was an excellent experience.

We stayed at Cliff Point in Two Harbors in June of 2020. We paid 294.00 a night at the time and I thought that was reasonable for the house. It's large but worn down, nothing special inside. Deck has very badly chipping paint, living room is large but not very comfortable. But location is good and overall the house felt clean. Dining room as an amazing view. However, I just went to look at this place to stay again and the price has almost doubled in a two year period to 527.00 a night! And the photos don't look like anything has changed! Cascade is absolutely ruining the north shore with their insane prices. Why has the house gotten so expensive in just two years with no obvious upgrades!? A small increase I could totally understand but this just seems excessive, and their other houses are even more insanely priced.

We rented Thorson’s Landing north of Silver / Beaver Bay recently through Cascade Vacations. Primarily we rented it because we had a dog: it sure was evident in the home that lots of dogs had been there and the place hadn’t been deep cleaned in quite a while. Not only did the first floor’s rug stink of dog urine, but the upstairs had lots of dog urine stains on it. And there was no “yard” for the dog to play, this house is built on a steep hill, so don’t expect any play area here. This was the first disappointment(s).Next, the house claimed they had wifi, that was incorrect. If you plan on needing it for any reason (work, limited data plan, etc.) this isn’t the place for you. We called the office to let them know it was out the night we arrived. The next day it was spotty, then quit completely. The following day a service repair man knocked on the door without prior notice. He changed out the modem and it still didn’t work. The office gave us the number to call the wifi company directly and customer service was completely incompetent.Asked for a multi-day refund as we lost work time with the wifi being down, they credited us back 10% of the cost…not good enough in our opinion. Screens had holes that we taped up so the multitude of bugs wouldn’t enter, and we fixed the sauna for them. The home also was at a slant, pretty daunting as it’s on stilts on the side of a steep hill. On the plus side, they provided ample towels, dish soap, linens and left extra items in the kitchen that previous guests left behind. If you want to access the lake, be ready for a steep, slippery hike down a rocky hill.Reviews on here said Cascade Vacations cares more about the home owners than the renters. We would say that’s correct. But of course, if they didn’t have the homes, no renters would be in the picture, then they wouldn’t make any money.I’d probably look elsewhere if we had a choice in the future – be aware, the homes aren’t as nice as they sound online.

I've had the pleasure to know the company from their office staff to the most wonderful places to vacation on Minnesota's North Shore! If you are looking for a private place to relax and reconnect, choose CVR. They have a long list of properties all over the North Shore, for different budgets and small or big groups! Remember that you come for vacation, so forget about the WiFi and work, enjoy your time in the woods!

Cascade Vacation Rentals was a great company through which to rent a vacation home! The staff was friendly and contacted us after arrival to see if there was anything they could do to make our experience better. Laundry and cleaning was taken care of at the end of the trip. The client portal was a valuable resource! We had a great experience with Cascade and will use them again in the future to rent vacation homes!

Outstanding experience at an outstanding property. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the home and located a good distance from the living/ dining area which worked well for both the early risers and night owls in our family. The kitchens - there is a main kitchen and an attached prep kitchen- are a gourmet cook's dream. This is the first rental home that has had every gadget needed! The star of the show is the incredible view of Lake Superior from the home as well as the lake front access. The property is well situated for easy access to amazing hiking spots as well. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this amazing property.

This was our first time using Cascade Vacation Rentals and we will definitely be using them again. We had a couple questions regarding trailer parking before we booked, and the staff was very helpful. The rental we had was excellent. It was well stocked, clean, had plenty of space, and was very comfortable. We had an excellent weekend and are looking into when we can go back.
