What a great experience !! The fish were few and far between the first day. Next morning they called and asked about fishing,told them it was slow. 2 hours later we were moving to a new spot and they put us on walleyes. What a great effort from Red Lake ice cabins and their staff !! We caught a Pb of walleye and Pb pike !! Caught our overs plus a few we threw back and cleaned 13 nice fish !! We would recommend this resort for a great time !! Thanks Jason and everyone for your fantastic effort of making sure we had a great time ! We will be back !🤗

Ive been here three times now for early ice fishing. This place always goes above and beyond to make sure you have you have a good fishing experience. I wouldn’t say it’s luxury, but it’s affordable, personable, and a fun place to stay. I had issues with my vexilar on the first night of my trip this year and the resort let me borrow one of their personal ones for the first night. That made a huge difference in my success out there. These guys are always the first people I call for availability.

I regret to express dissatisfaction with our recent experience at Red Lake Ice Cabins. Despite reserving an xl ice cabin for 5 adults in advance, unforeseen ice conditions prevented the house from going on the lake. While we understand this was beyond their control, our attempts to cancel the reservation, due to the impracticality of sitting in a small cabin in a parking lot for 3 days, were met with a refusal to refund. Their website says refunds are a case-by-case basis, I'm not sure what would qualify you for that if their inability to provide the service they advertise isn't enough.In addition, the transportation provided for ice fishing was subpar, with uncomfortable rides on an open flatbed trailer, zero help with any setup or take down, and encounters with mostly rude drivers who seemed indifferent to our situation. Despite paying a premium for the xl cabin that we did not even open the door to, the service did not match expectations. Of note, the fishing was also subpar. 5 experienced fishermen, 3 days, 8 walleye.Suggestions for improvement include prompt communication, especially when coordinating pickups in the dark, and a reconsideration of refund policies for situations beyond customers' control.In comparison to other resorts, such as JRs and Roger's(both of which were very kind to us, despite the fact we weren't renting through them) Red Lake Ice Cabins lacked essential supplies for purchase, as well as a welcoming atmosphere. The overall experience fell very short of the expected standard.

Jason and his crew will take good care of you ! The ice castle was warm holes drilled and on fish. Fishing was pretty good. Slow at times. They moved us to fresh ice when we asked and got our limit. Can’t beat the price either. They check on you a couple times during the day and will help however they can ! Thanks again Jason and TonyUpdate for Jan 2024My dad and I came back up and Tony, Jason and the crew were great again. Got us on safe ice the sleeper was good and we caught fish. The crew helped out however they could and took good care of us. Thanks again guys !

Tony and the team are great. If we needed anything it was taken care of. Recently purchased an ice castle a big one and the spots he plowed were great. Our last trip were were definitely on the crappie bite. The roads are well maintained.

The cabins were great, clean, and well maintained. However, we drove from Missouri and stayed for 3 days and only caught one keeper walleye (14”). Completely at the mercy of them putting you in the right spot. We are very experienced fisherman, and we were def not on the fish to say the least. They did move us on the last day....but nothing. Lines were in the water for 60+ hours. Movies and food were our only excitement.

Had a great experience this weekend! Tony and Nick went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our sleeper cabin. It was new, clean, and comfortable. They did a great job describing the best parts of the lake to fish and where to avoid. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and check on you to make sure everything is going well. I will be coming back because of their great customer service !

Had a good time it was a little slow the first couple days. when the guys came 2 check how things were going they recommend we move and they put us on the fish. We were able 2 fit 6 guys in the large cabin comfortably. Jason and the guys got a good set up there... this was my first time fishing redlake looking forward 2 going back again next year

Road well maintained & that was the end of it. Never checked in once generator i rented had issues, they didn't drill all the holes, claim to move house to stay on fish. They do just 5 feet at a time to say they tried I could see where the house had been moved from time and time again. Stove dirty nothing wiped down. I caught fish but poor service for what you pay. You can't get ahold of anyone once they have your money and you are on the ice. Recommend looking elsewhere as they don't know what they are doing. Attached a picture to show that I did stay in the rental.

Excellent place to go. First timers here and it was a great experience. Jason and the staff was very responsive and very accommodating. When we arrived we were greeted with a smile. The road was very nicely paved and the ice castle was already warm for us. The ice holes were nice and cleaned for us. The prices were the best in the area for such great service as well. Very family friendly! Would highly rec them and would definitely go back.

Spent the weekend at red lake this past weekend and they stay was wonderful! I had my girlfriend, a friend and a cousin with me and we caught plenty of walleye! The crew at red lake ice cabins was wonderful and the ice castle was second to none! The temps dropped to -28 degrees and we were never cold. I called from Missouri and set up this rental. Jason put me exactly where I wanted to be and we all caught a ton of fish! A big thanks to the staff for making our stay perfect! Definitely found my new home for my annual red lake trip, 800 miles from home!

Best fishing trip yet! My dad and I take an ice fishing trip every winter and this year was Red Lake. The Ice Castle we rented was in fantastic condition and for a great rate! We caught fish everyday even during the tough cold front we were in. The ice roads were plowed out Toby he ice castle so my dad and I could drive to and from our fish house whenever needed.

Rented an ice castle the weekend of January 8th. Great accommodations and even better guides! Tony and Jason were both great to deal with. The shop was awesome to clean fish in. Fishing was slow but steady. Tony and the guys moved our house the second day to get us on unfished water! They did everything to keep us on the fish! I will continue to go out withere them either in their houses or just to use their road. Highly recommend. Wish they had more stars.

We rented both an XL cabin and an Ice castle, both were in great shape and clean! Owners were very friendly and helpful. Had a blast and caught plenty of fish even in a 20 below cold front! Can't wait to go back!

Just got done fishing out of RLIC for 3 days and had an outstanding time. The service from Jason, Tony and Troy was unmatched anywhere else. They always checked on us and we're happy to help with anything we had asked. If your planning a trip to red lake definitely check these guys out! They will put you on the fish and treat you with the utmost respect. We will be back fishing out of RLIC no questions.

Red Lake Ice Cabins are the best I have ever stayed in. These cabins have plenty of room and are very nice inside. The owners are great, if you need anything, don't hesitate to call in at anytime and they are glad to stop out. Great experience, will definitely be renting from them again in the future. I have rented other houses in the past, but none were near as nice as these. Also with other rentals, we never even saw the owners after we checked in and they gave us a road map. Not the case at Red Lake Ice Cabins, they brought us out to the cabin initially, and checked back each day to make sure we had everything we needed. One member of our group even had their transducer go out, and they brought the transducer from their personal unit out for him to use for the remainder of our stay...top notch service!!!

I just want to shut out to everyone these guys are heroes in my book. They rescued everyone from past weekend storm without any hesitation if you rented from them or not. Nothing can express my gratitude, Great job!The Boss and his crews are all worthy of “Si-Night”. These guys always put us on the fish! And they have helped my family and I get un-stuck more than once. We had a hell of a snow storm last night and these guys worked tirelessly to make sure all of their clients got off the lake safely. These guys will not leave you stranded in bad weather like some other resorts will do. This is a class act operation and I will not stay with anyone else on Red Lake!

I had fun at RLIC! The owners are pretty enthusiastic about helping out and keeping everyone happy. They are just finishing putting up a brand new shop which has bathroom facilities and a fish cleaning sink. Its nice to have a place to stay that is a bit quieter than other places. No drunks to deal with and partying in the middle of the night. I would recommend them and plan on going back. I think this is their first year in business, so services are a little bit limited. Gotta get bait, propane, candy bars etc over at Rogers, which is only a minute away so no big deal. I'm sure in time RLIC will work on expanding services as their business grows.

Best ice cabin ever!! We had two families, a family of two and a family of four and stayed in the 8 person cabin that consisted of a twin bunk, a full bunk, and a single bunk. The beds were more comfortable than my bed at home! The cabin was very clean and the outfitters were very attentive, informative, and always available. I have stayed in many types of cabins, and this is by far the best for families. We doubled the single mattressess onto the bottom bunk and used the top for storage, and there is lots of storage under the beds, and a few shelves. Having a bathroom in the cabin was new to us, we are used to having a seperate outhouse or just a curtain. You do want to plan on having plastic grocery bags to put in the toilet bucket when you poo so you can just tie it up and leave it in the bucket to avoid smelling up the cabin. So overall I prefer having the bathroom in the cabin. We also kept a candle lit and that makes it really nice and comfy, plus the bathroom is spacious and has hooks to put your cosmetic bags. We were up on a weekend where the fishing conditions were strongly against us, but we still caught fish and were thankful for the TV and DVD player at the end of the night. You do need the generator to run the TV/Player so for those of you who do not like to use a generator because they are loud, they have a very quite honda generator, and we kept it in the truck bed, and we couldn't even hear it. All the lights work off a battery in the bathroom and the stove off of propane. We went into Rogers lodge and bar one night and they have recently added a DJ and dance floor which was fun to do with the kids. We cant wait to go back!!

Great weekend! very friendly and great service we got up early on a Friday morning with a cold front that had moved in and they still managed to move us and get us on some fish even when othe resorts were not doing so great.
