Michelle, Kay, Danielle, Lori, Kristen, Natalie, and Carson are doing what they love for all the right reasons. This place is top notch in care and compassion. Hanging on my fridge now is a card personally signed by every member of their care team with a little Polaroid pic of my fur baby, who recently crossed over that rainbow bridge. They all helped me through one of the most difficult times (and decisions) of having to say goodbye to my furry best friend.

Dr. Beck is awesome!!! Our dog went into see her since he was a puppy. He’s had a few serious issues health wise that no other vets could help with. If you want a vet who cares about your animal and your pocket book, who is kind and caring enough to be sensitive about tough situations then you should go to PAWS and see Dr. Beck she’s honestly the best! 100% Truth.

Very friendly vets, very sweet and knowledgeable. My dog had a blast there and they were able to do vaccines with such ease! The clinic currently makes you jump through some hoops for Covid reasons which is understandable it just seems a bit excessive. But this changes quite often it looks like so don’t let that scare you away!

Our cockapoo Lily had some teeth removed at P.A.W.S. a couple years ago (2020) and was left blind in her left eye. After letting them know that the white of her left eye was very red the day after surgery, I was told to take a picture and send it and Dr. Beck would look at it. I sent the pic to the number given and no one ever followed up. Come to find out it was never even shown to Dr. Beck. Turns out Lily had developed acute glaucoma as a result of the needle hitting her left orb (most likely during administration of a nerve block). This was determined after a visit to an animal ophthalmology specialist, who knew immediately upon viewing the same picture that it was a dire situation. Apparently you have about 24 hours in such a situation to have any luck saving the eyesight. Unfortunately, for Lily it was too late :( Almost 3 years later, in addition to more vet visits and several bottles of expensive eye drops for controlling the pressure in her eye, we had to ultimately have that eye removed this year. Needless to say, I never went back to P.A.W.S.! They never took any responsibility whatsoever, nor did they offer any type of compensation for the follow-up care for their mistake.

The staff at PAWS are all amazing! We had a recent health scare with my cat after visiting the emergency clinic. I called and spoke with Lori to make a follow up appointment. Lori took the time to move around schedules to get us in right away and was so compassionate and caring. Dr. Beck was awesome, extremely thorough and sat with us to explain everything that was going on and what the next steps would be. I could feel that everyone from the front desk staff, the techs, and the doctors truly care about my babies. We were treated with kindness and empathy in all of our interactions. I am so grateful for everyone at PAWS!

Absolutely amazing Vet clinic with doctors and staff that actually care. Our husky had several issues throughout his life and we always leaned on Dr Michelle for both options and honest advice. Without a doubt, she gave us YEARS with our dog that we wouldn’t have had otherwise. We’ve laughed together and cried together. There is nowhere else I would trust with the care of my pets!

The staff at PAWS truly care about my dog and have given her the best care for the past three years. They know her by sight!

End of life care is paternalistic and lacks empathy.Needed emergency euthanasia for my mom’s cat. They first put me on hold and forgot to talk to me. Called back and they insisted that my mom submit to a full examination before they administered euthanasia “for the best interest of the pet.” I understand the need to protect their patients when owners seek euthanasia, but that is a case-by-case situation and determination. They should not assume that people seeking a final appointment are wrong or seeking to harm their pets. An insulting and unempathetic exhange, where it felt like the clinic was seeking additional money and raising false hope from my very sad and grieving mom.

I love this place. They have taken wonderful care of my dogs. They have even allowed me to drop my dog off in the morning before work, fit him into their schedule, called me with updates and allowed me to pick him up after work. I recently lost my other dog to cancer. The team there was so kind and helpful with all of her visits and helping me to prepare my goodbye. I have had a lot of vets over the years, this clinic and Dr. Beck with have a life long customer. I trust them fully to care for my fur babies.

I am very happy with the services this clinic provides when I am able to get my pet in. I feel like the team takes a genuine interest in my fur baby and from what I can tell, their pet health services are in line with clinics credentials and their prices are competitive. I knocked off 1 star because I believe this place could be so much more if the owners could invest more money back into the clinic to increase the availability for urgent care or build a relationship with at least one of the closest emergency vet clinics, which are all sadly at least 25 minutes away. As far as I'm aware, P.A.W.S. doesn't officially partner with any of the emergency vets, so it's hard to feel connected to guaranteed quality urgent care. That being said, if you search the internet and find that your pet's symptoms allow for a day or so of wait time, if you call exactly when this clinic opens Mon-Fri, you may get lucky enough to get one of their two daily urgent care openings. We've done this before and were very happy with the results. We have also missed out and had to take our pup to the Arden Hills emergency vet - just fyi, we received great service there as well.

I started bringing my dogs to PAWS after moving to Hugo, and I have been very happy. The staff is incredibly friendly and seems to really care about their patients. When one of my dogs was experiencing bouts of vomiting, they were patient and willing to take extra time to talk to me each time I called the clinic. They also followed up by phone and email in the days following my calls. When I brought her in, they worked with me and explained all of my options; I never felt pressured to purchase expensive tests. When my mother’s elderly Yorkie reached the end of his life, I brought them to PAWS. The staff was extremely sensitive and sympathetic. They allowed us to bring him in after regular hours when the clinic was quiet. I have so far been very satisfied with my experiences at PAWS and will continue to bring my dogs there.

I LOVE the owner, Michele, she is great and amazing when we put my cat Boots down. Not sure what happened since then, however, depending on who I get over the phone is dependent on what kind of service I get. A couple of times the receptionist I spoke to in regards to various things was super rude and unpleasant and could care less about my dog Loki, especially with how sick he was. If I speak to a vet tech over the phone I have absolutely no complaints as they are friendly and knowledgeable. I wish that the receptionist that I spoke to would have a lesson in Customer Service as they really are putting me off coming back.

I've brought all my rescue animals to PAWS since it opened. Michelle was great to work with and did so much for my cats. Prices were higher than normal for the area but the services my cats received were well worth it. I moved out of state and came back a year later in 2014. Dr. Heidi was added and soon Dr. Ross, but the entire initial staff was gone and they were talking about their negative experiences working there. From there the replacement staff was gone and new staff came in and went as quickly and soon all these services were being recommend from Dr. Ross. And if anyone knows Dr. Ross, you could tell he wasn't swallowing that pill. With pretty healthy cats, I was spending $300 to $600 per appt. I heard Dr. Heidi quit. I made my last appt the day before Dr. Ross left. He didn't say anything to me. He couldn't. But he was my fur babies pediatrician and I was attached to Dr. Ross and felt that I deserved an email from Michelle telling me and other clients what was going on there. Now I call to see if my cats can get flea/tick medicine and I am still waiting for a call back 2 weeks later. Today, I found a new vet. Called and transferred all their records from them without one question from the PAWS receptionist. I'm deeply saddened to see what has happened to PAWS.

I have been taking my pit mix, Rosie, to PAWS since we moved back to Minnesota and she has received nothing but the best care! Dr. Ross and the entire staff have always treated us great and for once, my dog actually loves seeing her vet! We drive 30 minutes now to her appointments at PAWS and I would never consider taking her anywhere else!

From the time they answer the phone until the time they check you out, you and your pet are made to feel special. They explain everything very clearly and are always happy to answer questions. They know how to treat nervous “pet parents” and make them feel at ease. Dr. Beck has been looking after my pets for over 20 years (she started when she was 12....). She has literally gotten on the floor and calmed a dog everyone else gave up on. I am so incredibly thankful for the entire staff at P.A.W.S. Highly recommend to everyone!!!

I have taken my time before doing this review. When I first started using P.A.W.S it was easy to get to but over priced compared to the vet I was going to before. Over the last 6 months my old dog has had her health decline and the vets and techs have stepped up in a huge way to the point that my dog is no longer scared to go in. The customer service is top notch and they will not only give you options for your animal but information on the options and meds that they give. They follow up ad well which shows the really care about your pet. Though they are a bit more than other places the service and the comfort they give your animal is worth it.

Pros: I feel they do a great job of caring for your pets and explaining all the possible avenues for treatment of your animalCons: A little bit on the high end price wise from my experience and must think we have nothing better to do than cart our pets back and forth for follow up visitsI've been going here since they opened and have been impressed with the level of service they provide. Enjoy dealing with the staff members as they have all been professional and extremely nice. The only annoyance is how many follow up visits they want for our animals. One of them once a month for six months and another in two weeks with another in three months. Also the price is on the high end from other clinics I've been too however for me it is worth paying a little more and getting better service.....you get what you pay for.

PAWS takes advantage of their clients with how they price their services. Its overpriced and doesnt make sense. Katie S should not be sending out estimates. I received a combined estimate for 2 procedures at $490. I asked Katie if she could separate them so I could justify the cost. She sends me estimates that total $1380.... how did we get there? Why, as separates, are they 3x the price? I called Katie to see if she could answer these concerns and it ended with her hanging up on me. If you cant answer simple questions on the pricing of the estimates you sent out.. why are you the one creating the estimates? As an accountant, I would highly recommend PAWS hiring a cost accountant to work through these cost/pricing issues. With all of that, Dr Beck was awesome and I'm disappointed her staff are so incompetent and unprofessional.

Don’t see the female vet. I could not believe when my 6 month old puppy cameHome with a cut on his snout when he went in for a uti! My dog is very smart and knows basic commands along with numerous other ones. She did not ask about any commands only got upset when he was pulling on his leash with her. He does not normally pull but he was at the vet give him a break all she had to do was say “wait” and he would have stopped pulling. Instead she aggressively put a leader on my dogs face (without asking when she was in the back ) and pulled him around and proceeded to chew us out for not training him even though he is trained and is a puppy. News flash lady he isn’t a police dog he is a family dog so don’t treat him like that!! He is now traumatized. Dr Ross was great but I’m not sure how my puppy can ever feel comfortable at this place again. Very disappointed, can’t believe a vet would ever be so rough with a puppy.

We can't say enough good things about PAWS and the wonderful people there. They always take extra time to explain everything and truly seem to care about your pet. Our dog has been there many times and since they treat him so well he can't wait to get in the door when we get there. Never had a dog excited to go to the vet before. They have great follow up and call multiple times if needed to see how he is progressing from the care plan. My wife and I joke we get more follow up and care explanation from PAWS than our own doctors. Five stars all day long!

I am sorry to say but DO NOT bring your dog to this place! Our first experience with them was fine and they seemed very nice, but if anything major actually happens to your dog on their watch, they turn into completely different people. I had one of the doctors actually yell, scream at me over the phone because I did not feel my dog got the attention she needed after a crisis surgery THEY caused. My dog went in for a tooth extraction and cleaning, and they discharged her only to find 6 hours later that they left a breathing tube stuck in her throat!!! She had to be rushed to the ER for yet another surgery to remove the obstruction. They wouldn't own up to the mistake, said it was our dogs fault, and laughed it off saying it wasn't a big deal. They didn't even offer to refund us any part of the surgery from their mistakes... Just a terrible experience overall. What was a routine surgery turned into a life threatening emergency and they did not even apologize for their malpractice. Our dog coughed and hacked for weeks following the surgery and the doctor who did the surgery could care less. All that to say, if anything goes wrong in your experience with them aka extra charges, wrongful diagnosis, malpractice, etc. just know you will have to pay for everything anyway! They do not care about you as a customer and definitely do not care about your dog. They are only in it for the money.

Dr Michelle is incredible! She made it her personal mission to diagnose my Jordy's unusual case. She truly cares about your pet and helps you make decisions on care. Wouldn't take my dog anywhere else! 🐾

We are not happy with the way PAWS Pet Hospital handled our cat. The vet tech took out cat out of the room to do a simple weight and temp check. A few minutes later we heard our good natured kitty crying like she has never done before. They told us she didn't like the way they were holding her. Other vets are always telling us how good she is...she has never had any problems. Very much regret going to this clinic. The veterinarian herself was very nice and knowledgeable, however we won't be going back.

friendly staff, clean facility, saturday appointments! However expensive and tried to have me do unnecessary dental work on my dog. I called 3 other vets for a second opinion and they said i didn't need to do what PAWS was recommending. Also they switched a vaccine brand midway through my dog getting the doses, so i had to go back an extra time, granted they didn't charge me, but still inconvenient. I also didn't like how they took my dog in back to do most of her check up, i'm used to being in the room with the dog and vet while they look at her.

Mrs Beck is by far the best veternarion. She was amazing with my dog Rico. Gave him 4 more year's of life after another vet told me he had 6-9 months. She really cared and figured things out so Rico could be happy without constant problems. I could never thank her enough. THANK YOU MRS BECKCarol Swanson

I cannot thank the staff of P.A.WloS. enough. Especially Michelle and Gabby. A week ago today my daughter lost her fur baby Jagger. Her normal vet couldn't see him but P.A.W.S. took him in right away and monitored him throughout the day. As my daughter was about to bring him home a last check revealed he that a more serious problem developed in which we would have to take him to an emergency hospital. We had to transport Jagger to a the pet emergency hospital in Blaine and Gabby led us there as quickly as she could. She stayed with us all the way through to the end, giving us support and help. Gabby you were wonderful and I can't thank you enough for staying by us through this gut wrenching time. I would also like to thank Michelle for following up with my daughter the next day to see how she was doing. She then called my husband who was also having a very difficult time with our loss and he said talking to Michelle helped him. Our family is now petless but if we were ever to get another pet we would definitely use P.A.W.S. You are all wonderful and I thank you so much. Elise Carroll

Brought my cat in for a yearly and to have lab work done the second week in June to hopefully find the cause of his low weight and throwing up. I received an email the next day from the Technician of his lab results and she ruled out one cause but could be another cause and said the Vet MD would call me to go over a plan. 3 weeks and still no phone call!! I have even called 3 times to get notes on the MDs desk to call me back and go over his results but no calls. I paid over $200+ of my 40+ hours of my money to be told they are busy and that they are not working that day. I recommend not bringing your pets here. I will also report this business to the state attorney general.

I found this animal hospital because it was close to my house. They were able to get my kitty in quickly for her first check up which is appreciated. The staff was great and friendly; I received alot of great tips on how to care for a cat and was shown how to trim her nails so I can do it myself in the future.
