Very helpfull.Everytime I've been there staff is always courteous and help you find what you are in need of.Try here first, can't imagine they wouldn't have what you are looking for.Pricing reasonable and very comparable to big box stores in town.Recommend stopping in, you'll be impressed.

They promptly checked on an item I needed and when it wasn't in stock, they immediately ordered it (Black & Decker waffle iron). They actually called to say it had come in and when I picked it up, no surprises! It was exactly what I wanted and at a reasonable price. What a difference from other stores I've dealt with. I will definitely do more business with them. 😁

Mixed experience with the staff.Looking for a common lawnmower part. First person I asked for help had no idea what I was talking about. Second person told me they have never heard of something like that in their life, "that's not a thing."Third person who just happened to be walking by says "Oh yeah sure, we've got a whole section of those, let me show you."Not awesome.Checkout also slow & painful.

I never have a problem with them...Always someone willing to help. Only gave 4 stars cause the prices are a bit higher than others, however they usually have what I need and don't mind paying a little extra to support local business.

Few days ago ordered 2 lawn mower blades and discharge chute. Was quoted $20.99 each for the 2 blades and $38 for the discharge chute. Was told they could order and parts would be in , in a few days. Got a call that parts were in. Stopped today went up to checkout and they gave me an invoice for the parts. They were trying to charge me $ 43 dollars per blade and the discharge chute had been bumped up to $68. They had also added a $10 freight charge that they had not told me about. I do not know what their game is but bait and switch comes to mind. The same young man that wrote up the order attempted to explain how this may have happened and did find that somehow the blades were priced wrong but was unable to correct the discharge chute or tell me why he neglected to inform me about shipping charges. I told him to keep it all. I am not happy with a store trying to take advantage and confusing the senior population of grand rapids. Guess I will have my son see if he can find an honest Toro parts supplier.

Well stocked, very clean, easy entrances to parking lot, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would strongly advise going during the day shift if you want experienced staff. I have noticed there is nobody readily available to assist, especially in plumbing and hardware, after 430 PM.

My landlord ordered a part for my stove I had it delivered to Ace Hardware. So this was a quick trip with no flies part was there already paid for it picked it up headed out the door but as always staff is knowledgeable friendly and they have a wide selection of hardware. I was in and out quick in the visit couldn't have gone better.

They have stuff that you may not be able to find elsewhere in town. Seem like less options now that they remodeled though. But L&M seem a better choice. Normally good service but some of the younger associates seem more interested in getting back to talk with co-workers then helping. Would have been a higher review a few months ago but like I said after the remodel they got rid of some stuff that made them the reason I would have gone there

Was overcharged on two clearance items and they refused to give us the difference back. The items were un-returnable which was made clear (which we are fine with obviously) but because they made a mistake and overcharged us they refused to give us back OUR money that THEY took. So I guess they're ok with stealing as long as they come out ahead. With plenty of other options we will not be back. Hope it was worth it.

Hardware stores are my places of Zen. I count myself very lucky for this to be the second time in my life to live within a block or two of an Ace Hardware store. The staff is always helpful when you need them, but are happy to let you go about your business too. Although my nephew and I miss the popcorn, it's understandable during these time... I Nothing but good things to say about the place.

They do such a great job here. They serve you right from the moment you walk in the door. Friendly with knowledge. If there is something I need and know that I don't want to make multiple trips to "get it right", I go here. Never have been steered wrong yet.

This past weekend (a holiday weekend) we were desperate to find a RV adapter plug and Burggraf's had what we needed however, I knew I wouldn't make it there before they closed for the day. I called and asked Pete, the store manager, to stay open an extra 5 minutes so I could purchase one and he agreed. He went out of his way to help me out on a holiday weekend - that's great customer service right there! We don't live directly in Grand Rapids, but have visited this store on a few occasions. This level of customer service will keep us patronizing this store a lot more! Thanks for helping a gal out Pete!

As you can see below I had a very bad opinion of customer service at Burggraf's Ace Hardware in Grand Rapids. Since then I have been contacted by ownership (Kelly Kirwin). Very pleasant and appropriate response. Kelly has plans in place to address the concerns that I and my Wife have. I think they deserve another look. Hat's off to Kelly and the ownership for recognizing the problem and addressing it.I have been in the store about 7 or 8 times. I have really talked up the fact that I was very surprised at the size and cleanliness of the store. Unfortunately, some of the rude responses that I and my Wife have received, from store personnel, will keep us from shopping at Burggraf's Ace. The contrast between the service I have received at Ace in Bemidji and Ace in Grand Rapids is unreal. Our Family will not be returning to Burggraf's.

Great folks, but their prices are a bit high so I only go there when I really need to.They remodeled so now you have to walk around an isle to check out. Good inconvenience for the customer. I watch a guy walk straight down the main isle and out the door with merchandise and the cashier was busy and couldn't see the guy anyway.Before they could watch everyone that came in and went out.

Fabulous service. They helped me purchase a Husquavarna bagged lawnmower (which is in great demand during Covid-19) remotely, arranged with my property manager for pick up and helped put Ace Hardware rewards points that I forgot to include well over a month later. Recommend highly

Really like this store! Much bigger inside than it looks like from outside. Every employee is more than willing to help you find stuff without any pressure to buy.... they're knowledgeable too. I bought materials needed to run a propane line for my gas stove and one of their people set me up with every fitting, elbow and piece I needed.... probably spent a half hour helping just me and everything was spot on! Maybe you pay a little more (although that might not even be true) but to get that kind of one on one attention really saved me a lot of time and aggravation.

Clean. Friendly paint type advice. Generally more expensive, with occasional good deals or coupons. I appreciate that they participate in round up For Kids. And the popcorn is great, under normal conditions (non-Covid 19)I would like to see more or any employees wearing masks.
