Nasty pillows….no pool…. No continental breakfast. This is by far one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Upon our arrival the owner was extremely rude to us, and asked if we were going to check in or leave. When we asked for a discount when we found out that everything was closed, the owner became extremely irate, and said absolutely not. When we arrived at our room, we were greeted with stained and dirty pillows, stained mattresses, random hairs throughout the room, and an extremely dated look. I have stayed at econolodge 1-star motels that were nicer then this place. We asked for new pillows, and we were again greeted with stained and dirty pillows again. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

It was a decent hotel and the price for a Jacuzzi suite was worth it for a saturday. I do however need to say the bedding needs a big upgrade. Pillows were awful where we had to take the chair cushions to put under a pillow. The jacuzzi was amazing. The Continental breakfast should honestly not even be there if that is offered everyday. My husband and I both went to have some and there were bread cereal and stale muffins. Only one milk in the fridge. It should honestly not be offered if that's it. Or change it. McDonald's however was across the street. Friendly front desk man though and very quite. I would come again but I would bring my own bedding next time now that I know what to expect.

It was kind of hard to find from the main road when we got here late at night, but much easier to navigate in the day. Rooms are nice, spacious. No microwave in our room - not sure if that's all rooms or just certain ones, though - there was a fridge and coffee pot. It has a nice pool and hot tub, which is great for kids. Front desk/housekeepers are all super friendly and nice. Only stayed a couple days and didn't use room service, so I can't say anything about that, but everything was pretty great here! There's a couple stores close by and a few fast food restaurants and a diner or two. I think there is even a trail you can walk from here to get to a McDonalds, so it's definitely near places to eat. One really nice thing about this hotel is that it's really quiet.. I haven't heard anybody in their rooms or wandering loudly outside, though I see plenty people staying here.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were pretty clean and quiet. We didn't have a chance to use the hot tub or pool but they did have both. The breakfast was lacking in variety.

Ok, so I am rating this hotel a 4 because of the staff, and the area. Staff was so very sweet and kind, and hotel is located within walking distance of lake. If you want plush towels, and new bedding....this is not the place for u! The only thing I would suggest is bring your own pillows and towels for pool. You can get as many towels as u want but their towels are very basic. I was kind of worried about some of the reviews, but I spent the high dollar to stay here during International race weekend...It was very cute and super quiet! I would stay here again!

The pillows were like two rectangular pancakes, the blankets and towels had stains, the walls and ceiling were stained, the floor was dirty, the sink was cracked. The pool and hot tub were filthy, so I thought better of letting my child swim in there, even though he'd been promised :( I took one look at the breakfast and said, "Nope." There was no coffee, and some sad old items sat in a refrigerator. The bathroom was fairly clean, I guess. Garrison Inn & Suites, invest in some new items, like sheets. It looks like it's been about 30 years.

Older gentleman at the counter, I think he was the owner, was very gracious and polite. Rooms were kept clean. Pool area was very clean as well. The whole place in general is well kept. There is a mini store in the lobby that has toiletries if you forgot to bring. They also sell goggles and beach balls for kids to play with. Sitting area is very homey and comfy.

WORST experience I've ever had at a hotel. Blood on the sheets, ripped blankets, heater didn't work in our room and the smoke alarm was hanging down by a wire from the ceiling. Absolutely disgusting. The owner was so rude (not to mention wore the same clothes from friday through sunday when we stayed), followed me down the hallway screaming at me that I wouldn't get a refund and that I put blood on the sheets myself. I would NEVER recommend anyone to stay here. Advertised continental breakfast, pool, and got tub, none of which were able to be used due to covid, when a week ago I was told it could be used and that there would in fact be breakfast. Terrible experience.

I spent a couple of nights here in Garrison Inn and suites and comparing to the price, it was amazing! I could see the frozen lake through the window in my room which was nice and the room was quite cozy and clean. And people there were kind and caring and helped us a lot when we needed. Breakfast was also good! And the indoor swimming pool was really enjoyable especially in winter time after fishing! I would love to visit there next time.

The rooms where decent but in need of upgrading. there is not very many outlets and with today's electronics you might want to bring you own surge protector with USB ports on it to be able to charge everything. I stayed 2 nights for a ice fishing trip. the people that run the place seem nice. they do allow dog's as long as you tell them at the desk. we did have a small problem with the dog across the hallway barking a lot when the outside door opened which was a little annoying but once everyone was asleep it was fine. They need to update there TV's and channel packages. The beds are also pretty well used and could use replacing. like I said before none of there outlets have USB charging and there is not very many outlets you can use.

Decent, but basic hotel in Garrison, Minnesota. The hotel is located of the main road behind McDonald's. We missed the sign the first time we drove past it. The reception staff was friendly, although there were several passive aggressive notes taped to the reception counter. The hotel had the smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby and hallways, although the room was fine. Sparse decor in the rooms and the linens left something to be desired. The bathroom was in need of a refresh. The hotel seemed to offer a lower level of accommodation than similarity priced chain hotels.

I genuinely loved the hospitality and the price made it more than worth it. It's very quiet and relaxing and that is exactly what we needed on our trip at that point in time.We were treated like absolute royalty by the staff. Smiles, towels, anything you wanted. Just very relaxing. We will be back to visit family in the area.

The people who the run the place are very creepy and you do constantly feel like you are being watched (the many cameras are no help). They clearly have not updated the location since the 1990s and everything feels like it's falling apart. I stayed in a suite and that was nothing close to a suite and a different hotel. The hotel itself does have a lot of accommodations but they are all very poor. They do have a pool and hot tub, but with the owners constantly coming in and "checking in" on you it's hard to actually relax. They do have a very small convinient area but everything there is so old that I would question if anything worked. The store itself includes food, toilet products and a single swimsuit. There is a fire place but once again good luck trying to get any peaceful rest by it. They do have free WiFi but the couple times I've stayed, there has only been a maximum of three other people staying there at the same time. So I cannot verify if the wifi is fast with a lot of people on it. All in all, the hotel itself was once probably very nice, but it has clearly not been updated in 20 or 30 years which means everything feels so outdated. And with the creepy owners I cannot recommend anyone staying at this hotel. Unfortunately there are not a whole lot of options in the Garrison area, but I feel that a person would regret staying here if they had another option.

It was amazing. Cute rooms, awesome staff. Very helpful and nice. Awewome whirlpool in our room! We were here on a busy, busy night but we weren't bothered. Couldn't even hear the noise until I opened my door. It was great. I'd definitely stay again!

This place is a dump! For the price of the room I had, the pillows are old and so is the mattress. This place could use to replace these. There were bugs in my room, and grape jelly (who knows how long it's been there) on a light switch plate. The TV in the bedroom did not work well. The picture was so fuzzy that the TV like the mattress and pillows should just be thrown out. This Inn is not worth the price they are asking, not even close. I would rather stay in a tent then at this hotel ever again. This hotel is just as nasty as that Blue Goose next to it. I filled out a comment card and sent the Inn and email and they are so rude that it's been 3 weeks and I have never heard back once from anyone. This 2 star hotel needs to change their prices to a 2 start hotel, not a 4 star hotel. Dump!!!!!

It was clean, but the hallway was hot and smelled like cigarettes. The tub drained super slow. You were ankle deep in water by time your shower was done. $109 was too much.

Me and my husband stayed in the Jacuzzi room. The controls are on the wall, which confused us. However, contrary to what people have said, the Jacuzzi room does work. You just have to use the wall controls. The bed was comfortable and the décor in the hotel was very charming. No, it is not the ritz. However, for a comfortable "country" stay, it was very nice and was more than I had expected.

Pillows were flat, not really a continental breakfast unless you want toaster pancakes and frosted flakes, only got 2 small towels for the pool area, also very small bath towels. We went shopping at dollar General for bath towels and pillows.

Dispite the fact that they still used box TVs, I would have to say it was a decent stay. Bed was comfy. It was convenient to be of short walking distance from fast food restraunt. Would stay there again if necessary.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Very nice and clean. Smaller variety of breakfast, (oatmeal, toast, english muffins, cereal, ect..) but theres enough to fill you up. Hosts are very nice and accommodating. Room has a fridge so you are able to keep some food for a weekend too. Would stay here again.

Very reasonable pricing and friendly staff. Clean and well kept. Only complaint was the continental breakfast was a microwave pancake and toaster breakfast and lacked most of what I've experienced with other hotels. This was a very minor detail in an overall great experience and wouldn't hesitate booking here again.

Very outdated. Old TVs you can't hook current devices to. No elevator. Very thin towels. Breakfast was a couple loaves of bread & some cold cereal. The oatmeal and pancakes mentioned on the website were nowhere to be found. Next time we'll stay at Grand Casino a few miles down the road.

Rooms are clean check in was easy and they had everything we needed if we didn't have it. It wasn't busy and actually relaxing not a bad place at all but I only stayed here because the grand casino was booked up.

The room was fair, the guy lost our reservation so it took 20 minutes to check in, he was nice though we ended up being late to a friends wedding because of it all. Actually got charged more than the reservation said we would. Quiet hotel, and free breakfast and Wi-Fi.

Outside of building is rundown and needs attention, inside at desk it is old, smells and is hot all the way down the halls. Room was gross in need of updates and repairs and smells like dead fish. Knobs missing off AC, Water stains on curtains, bathroom sink chipped and scaling . Definitely would not recommend.
