Judge Ely Animal Clinic was fantastic! The staff were caring, kind, compassionate, patient and professional. My old, half-blind Bassett Hound was treated with the respect that the elderly deserve. Each of them went above and beyond to make sure "Fred" was well cared for. I'll be returning and I will certainly tell everyone how outstanding each and every staff member was. Thank you, Ladies! Chip has worked with our dog Mikko since he was 6 weeks old (he is almost 3 now). We feel fortunate that we have such top notch Veterinary Care just an hour from our home--I would easily drive triple that! Chip has seen it all and treats Mikko like he is the only animal that matters on the planet. Pricing is more than fair as well. I would highly recommend this clinic.

We needed emergency care for our cat and could not find it anywhere locally on the north shore. I called many places in the arrowhead region and this was the only clinic where a vet got on the phone. After chatting, we agreed the cat needed emergency care and they got us a same day appointment. Our cat received great care at a very reasonable price. Thank you!

We love all the Ely Vets, techs and staff! Compassion and practical information always provided, with options on care for all the animals we've had consultation on whether it's been routine prevention, emergency or age related. Most recently Dr. Chip Hanson & Dr. Allison have helped us with Bree our 17.5 year old Alaskan Husky retired sled dog racer and Powder our 14.5 year old Siberian. 100% our vets of choice, even when it means a 2 hr drive each way.

Every single person who works here is absolutely fantastic and we trust them 100%! They always explain things in enough detail that we understand each thing they tell us! Our dog Paco has ALWAYS been taken care of from the beginning to the end of each visit! Thank all of you for making us feel safe and like part of a family there!Today we went and had our dog Paco put down. They were all so fantastic and gentle with him. Literally one of the hardest things we have ever had to do. They even got a paw print for us for him! Thank you so much to everyone especially Chip for helping Paco cross the rainbow bridge and explaining everything before he did anything. Our family companion Jack was tired, ready for his new journey, so was helped home by the staff at the Ely Vet Clinic to travel where furry and faithful companions go. Each person involved was incredible, kind and gentle. The gazebo was a peaceful place where we could part ways, and I stayed until our family friend went home.

Could not be more impressed with the staff here and the compassion shown to us. We were camping up in Ely (from the Twin Cities) and our dog sustained an injury that was getting worse and causing severe pain over the weekend. When Monday morning rolled around, we called every vet within 2 hours trying to get him seen. After several, "not taking new clients, even for emergency injuries" comments, about to drive the 5 hours home for emergency care, Ely welcomed him in and treated him immediately.Such peace of mind and wonderful vet care. Saved our vacation and helped us rest easy knowing he had meds and was OK to continue on camping. Thank you!!! You have NO idea how your willingness to see us made us feel. ❤️

They were very professional when my daughter brought her cat in after hours. Their care saved her cats life and i would recommend them to anyone. They even made special arrangements to let her pickup the cat on the weekend!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Dr. Chip took so much time with me, explaining so clearly everything, showing me xrays and explaining everything. I went in afraid I would be losing my best friend and left with a lighter heart. Can't thank him enough for caring so much.

Paid 500 to have a canine tooth removed that was going into her gums ever since then our dog went downhill can’t walk on one leg, supposedly from the anesthesia we bought the vet x2 And she’s not getting any better $$$ Thanks for nothing

Had an emergency with our baby Bruno. They fit us in and and seen Bruno immediately. Paid 300. Dollars for everything. They had a lot of employees. They were very busy. Recommend going if you need emergency care for your family.

I lived in Ely and now live in Florida. I have a 14 year old dog I raised in Ely. My dog is having health issues and I visited a Vet here in Florida. Without discussing what I paid here in Florida, just let me say I got more advise from Dr Chip in Ely on a 15 minute phone call than I got from a 45 minute Vet visit here in Florida. I can not say enough good things about the Ely Vet Clinic.

I can't say enough good about Ely Vet Clinic! OMG! They saved my dog's life when she went into shock for some unknown reason. We were on a 2 week camping trip out of state when this happened! We walked in, said we were from out of town & our dog was sick. We had a vet within 60 seconds looking at our dog! Thank God we were in the right place at the right time or the outcome could have been very different. A big huge thank you specifically to Dr. Jennifer Freking & her behind the scenes staff! You saved our baby!!!🤗🤗🤗

I took my 4 year old male dog to get neutered. They were FABULOUS and friendly. Never have I taken my dig to the vet, let alone a surgery and have him leave so happy. The staff were kind and reassuring. This is the cleanest I've ever seen this procedure done on a male dog. Appropriate at home medication and dosage was given. He feels comfortable, healed great, and his scaring is basically nonexistent. I couldn't be happier.

These folks are absolutely phenomenal! On all levels. I have two young cats that they take care of and had an amazing experience today on an emergency note. My husband & I are from the cities, we have a cabin in the cook area. We found our selves in an emergency situation with one of our dogs on Saturday, August 5th 2023. I called your clinic and boy were we ever glad we did. Unfortunately the outcome for our sweet boy wasn’t what we had hoped for but, Dr Kristine Woerheide and her staff were PHENOMENAL!!! Dr Woerheide was there for us when she said she would be, she was very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. The vets and staff are wonderful. Care is fantastic. Only complaint is not being able to get hold of them. Every time I call the line is busy and it takes days to get through. So far I'm toward the end of day 2 and line is still busy.
