Friendly owners.Pull up and park outside your room (easy).TV, microwave, little fridge, in room coffee.Best pillows (2) and most comfy bed rhat I've slept in all trip!Quiet sleep.No breakfast included, no pool, exercise room (etc) ...I dont care about these amenities but just in case you were looking for such things.A fair price and quite clean!Note: we did find the room had a noticeably "musty" smell but they were trying to address it with those moisture-trapping bags

Very clean rooms. The owner is very pleasant. I love these types of motels, which bring back many memories. Would definitely stay here again.Stayed here last winter while riding snowmobile. I'm staying here now riding a motorcycle.

This place is really nice. Super nice owners Elva and Mike make you feel right at home! Rooms are cozy and very clean. Large suite with fridge, stove, utensils and 2 separate bedrooms is only 108 dollars! You can also use a patio with grill to make your food. Bar/restaurant next door for nice nightly specials for about 6 dollars. Also a grocery store within walking distance. The area has some fun places to explore as well.

We stayed 4 nights and were very pleased with everything! We stayed in a kitchenette room first which was very nice to have, then had to switch to a regular room (we knew ahead of time at booking it was not available during our whole stay) and the owners offered to move all of our stuff over! While the rooms are not very updated, everything was very clean and felt like home!! It’s very handy to be able to drive your vehicle right up to your room door to be able load/unload and have easy access. We will plan to stay again!We found great food at the Hungry Duck just a few blocks away (the Heat Burger was amazing), and a cute home decor shop across the road from the restaurant called Found North Goods that I would recommend checking out!

Amazing hosts, very attentive, very clean rooms with everything you need and more. Love the personal touches of a different theme for every room! Restaurants and gas stations and a grocery store and all you need within walking/driving distance. The prices are always reasonable! This place fills up quickly for a reason! We will definitely be repeat customers!

Went with some buddies fishing and stayed there. My friends have stayed there for the last six years, and I are why. Great rates. Nice little rooms. Centrally located for great fishing opportunities. They have a fish cleaning station. Mike and Elva are a couple of very nice and accommodating people. Highly recommend.

We checked in at 9:00 or so, and the desk clerk was very friendly.We had a room that adjoined another, and maybe that's why we heard that room's tv so clearly. There was also a dog who barked a couple of times. I wish I'd asked about a quiet room, might've helped.Our sheets felt damp and smelled heavily of fabric softener, though appeared clean.The carpet did not invite walking on it barefoot.The room smelled of stale smoke and age. Everything thing was old and tired out.

(2017) They were very kind to me and my family tonight. They open up there heart to us. I came to spend time with my grandma Hiking and going to state parks. But problem with the other hotel then came across the street to the Drake where they are warm and welcoming. There place is settle in a small town. There rooms are nice and clean. Thank you for let stay with you will do it again.<br/>(March 30 to April 2, 2018) We come again this year to spend Easter with Grandma. Yet again we are Welcome at the Drake. It is clean Like alway. Its old in a good way. The bathtubs are nice and big for a good soak. They have a microwave and a fridge all the comforts of home. We love it here like your second home when we come see Grandma. I have pets they welcome the but you need to crate them when you leave the room. Which I understand and do. So the rooms are nice for the next person. We will be back next year too.<br/>(April 19-22, 2019) We are here again. Love the couple that runs this lovely motel. They are always improve it. We still love it here. I greatly appreciate that they let my family stay here every year to visit grandma. It's alway quit here a home away from home. We had a Lovely Easter visit. We will be back next year.

This is a nice and clean small town hotel. The place has a side yard with outdoor seating and a grill. The owners are friendly, and invited us to sit at the outdoor table and fire pit with them. I didn't know what to expect for amenities, but I was impressed to find a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. They do provide soap, but not shampoo. Other electronics like iron and hair dryer were not included.

Didn’t stay here because they canceled my reservation out of the blue — no explanation given. Was looking forward to visit with my kid nephew. Then got an email from hotel staff asking for phone number. I replied with my number, wondering if my old number was still on file, and then I got a reply saying that the number on file had an extra digit and they were canceling my reservation!Then a couple of even more bizarre and cryptic emails followed. I can’t help but think that my Latino name is a liability in these parts.

I had gone up north with my family and rented two rooms on July 4th weekend. The rooms were very clean and very inviting. The owners Elva and Mike were welcoming and I couldn't have had a better experience there. They recommended different places to keep us busy and entertained since we werent familiar with the area. I give it a five stars for the cleanliness, experience and the great hospitality from the owners!

By far a great little motel off the Highway, Owners were super friendly and keep a super clean place to stay. If you enjoy fishing stay at Drake since there are so many lakes nearby and they've got a place to clean fish on site. I will be coming up there many years to come!

Not much choice in Blackduck MN but this is an locally owned charming quaint little motel with character! Each room is decorated differently; country, ducks, deer, birds, seashore, etc. Rooms were very clean, each room has a microwave, mini fridge and small coffee maker. Would definitely return, owners on the premises were super accommodating.

Fantastic place to stay! Next to the grocery store, liquor store, gas station, and any recreational activities; like golf, 4 wheeling, camping and fishing. CAN'T BEAT THE PRICES & wonderful staff! Always clean, every room is theemed & pet friendly ta boot!
