This was the best experience we have ever had in a grocery store! We are planning a party and we went to the bakery first to order a custom cake and Deb from the bakery is an absolute treasure- she was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable and had our whole order done in a matter of minutes! We were blown away! Then we had to ask for directions to some of our shopping and all of the employees we spoke to were friendly. Finally we stopped at the floral shop and we didn't know necessarily exactly what we were looking for but in speaking to Shauna, she gave us options and even threw together a sample bouquet for us so we could see what we were ordering and we were so impressed- so perfect! Thank you Hyvee!

Great grocery store! We were visiting from out of town and stopped for supplies. They had everything we needed. I stopped there by myself to grab a quick lunch from their Asian eatery, and it was great! Well organized and well maintained store. Lots of parking.

Hy-Vee, Inc. is an employee-owned chain of supermarkets in the Midwestern and Southern United States, with more than 280 locations and headquartered in West Des Moines, Iowa.Departments: Bakery, Fast & Fresh, Floral, Market Grille, Pharmacy, Salad Bar, Starbucks and Wine & Spirits.We found everything we needed, but it did take a little more time to figure it all out as we are from out of town and do not shop there consistently. I like that Hy-Vee Liquors is attached to the main store and that the wine and beer selection is well stocked.The staff here is amazing and always ready to help. The food selection is great, fruits and veggies are fresh, the meat is good. Overall, we are very satisfied with this store.Service options: Curbside pickup, No-contact delivery, Delivery, In-store pickup, In-store shopping, Same-day delivery.

Armed Guard, Rotten Food, High PricesThe primary customer base at this store are elderly folks on a fixed income. Despite this, Albert Lea HyVee recently skyrocketed their prices and used the proceeds to hire a balding man in body armor to stand near the potatoes with a loaded gun. It’s common at other HyVees to see the security help put carts back in place or load groceries for older customers, but this one stands around on his phone. Why he’s here is unclear, unless the intention is to portray Albert Lea as some sort of pseudo-Wild West fantasy where you shop for rotten groceries at risk of whatever the armed man would do to you if he ever looks up from his phone.Whether you’re shopping for fly-infested pastries (photo attached), moldy figs (photo attached), inexplicably dried-up citrus (photo attached), open package meat (photo attached), or any of their other expired, past-due, or “open box” products, make sure to consider Albert Lea HyVee!We’ve directed our business and our local community groups to stop doing business here over concerns with food quality and safety, exorbitant prices, and general discomfort with the weird rent-a-cop. I’d suggest the reader do the same.

We have new Hyvee stores in our area but visited this one on a road trip. Just okay. Enjoyed the breakfast and had a Caribou. Staff at the food counter were not very friendly and lacked enthusiasm. Like the Hyvee experience but this is definitely an older store that lacks some of the new store features. I did notice they have a dietician on site which I think is interesting.

Why does Hy-Vee in Austin no longer have ads in the mower county shopper. Don't like to have to go online and many others don't have anyway to know the sales that going on.

Id rate it a 4 if they didn't play games with the way they discount products on your receipt, difficult to tell what if any discount was applied, debits for full amount the corrects on reconciliation only, however this does noes not always catch the the sale price. If you buy in store it rings correctly the first time. Why two systems?. Fix this please. or quanity limits on sales In albert lea, with with no limites often at the Austin store. Yet limits are not posted online. Very misleading at times and though they are aware of this, they don't care.. and using "Aisles on Line" makes a bad billing system worse.

Yikes! The bathroom was disgusting with wads of toilet paper all over the floor and smelled like a port-a-potty! I figured it couldn't get worse than that, but then most of the items I was looking for in their flyer were out of stock, including the two we stopped specifically for today. They also wouldn't substitute two twelve packs for a 24-pack in lieu of the out of stock sale special. Just a very negative experience, staff weren't very helpful in finding the few items they did have in stock (helpful smile in every aisle - I think not)👎

They have a decent amount of options, but nothing like the other Hyvees that I’ve been to.It’s definitely one of the better places in town to get groceries, other than the evil big blue box store that doesn’t deserve your money.

I was completely ignored as a customer trying to order Chinese food, even though it was an hour before closing time and the Chinese food was on display. There was no employee there to help and the employees in the other section of the kitchen stared at me while I stood there but didn't say anything to me or offer any assistance, so I walked away paid for my groceries and left. As I was leaving I noticed a group of 5-6 kitchen employees gathered in the dining area talking amongst themselves.

I wouldn't recommend this store. So many out of srock items, I watched employees arguing with a lady about her fuel points for over 15 minutes at a register. I went and did self checkout after waiting in line awhile. I had some questions for staff and didnt get answers to some of them, including location on a couple of things i couldn't find.

I got a dozen white roses on Valentine's day and on the 22nd they still look great . Very good quality .
