I would give one star but out of respect for Larry I won’t do that. I can’t believe how I was just treated by the new guy he has taking over. I bought meat and it was rotten after 2 days. I am 40 years old and buy a cow and have it butchered every year (I keep half and divide up the rest). I cook dinner almost every single day, have worked in kitchens for 16years, I am serve safe certified and I know what rotten meat looks and smells like vs meat that has change color from the air. I was trying to be discrete and talk to the person behind the meat counter, at that point being as quiet as possible. The new manager, whom myself and my husband have had good interactions with prior comes up to me and starts telling me the meat is good and that they only date it a day out bc it’s natural. Much like my cow I get every year. When I pushed back he opened the grey meat and tells me to smell it. Where I do and I smell rot. Not super potent but you can smell it. He keeps telling me I’m wrong as some other lady (assuming his wife or GF) is also just starting at me and smiling. He tells me he would eat it, which I find disgusting, and then tells me to open a fresh one and I can compare them bc what I am smelling is just the smell of meat. Oh, Ok Sir. So I open a new one and tell him that doesn’t smell. Where he smells them both and argues that they smell the same. They did not. He told me I was wrong but that he would just refund the money. All I wanted was a replacement… I just took the open package of meat and made him aware that I would no long buy meat there again.So disrespectful. The people in the community go out of their way to support small businesses paying higher prices bc we know it’s necessary to keep the doors open for our neighbors, but if this is what I get I will go to Jerry’s market down the road. Even if he thought I was wrong he should have just shut his mouth knowing I was concerned and given me a new one. My husband and I shop there at least several times a week. I have never complained about anything. I have never returned a single item in 4 years. This is a far cry from Larry greeting everyone and making sure customers are happy and treated well. So if this is how the new people want to run the shop I won’t shop there.

I usually don't write reviews. I only do when I have got an exceptional service. Hands down this is my favorite store in downriver. They have the variety with reasonable prices and best meat. The staff is amazing. They make you feel like family. Highly recommended.

Shoppers Valley is the best downriver shop for all your needs. The people at the deli and meat counter are super helpful! Especially Suzette! I also love the staff, when I come in I feel like family. Don’t let anyone tell you any different. Harry is super personable and one of my favorites there! If you’re looking for a good local market you need to go here!

Fantastic store! Customer service was exceptionally good. One of the managers personally took me around the store to help me locate a few items. He had a fantastic disposition and was extremely helpful and pleasant. The cashier was also a joy and over all I was very happy with the service I got. Not to mention they had an amazing selection of household items and alcoholic beverages to choose from.

This was the best experience I have ever had at a market! They were so helpful, treated us like family went above and beyond! They offered my daughter a quarter for the machines and offered to take your groceries to our car. I will never go anywhere else because of the way we were treated and the meat was amazing.!!

We visited shoppers Valley Market in wyandotte for the first time this weekend and ordered 2 different meat bundles, which were ready to be picked up the next day. The meat is great quality, the staff was so incredibly helpful, and our freezer is now stocked for hopefully a month. 😂❤️ I took a picture of the 2 bundles I got, as well as the other bundles offered. There's actually other bundles, as well, including a breakfast one... but my kids or my dog destroyed it before I got a picture. HIGHLY recommend this small shop. We'll definitely be returning.

I went there today December 6th 2023.And I tried to use my EBT card. They kept trying it and tell me that it wouldn't work. And this place is the worst place ever. I mean, they suck their prices are outrageous. I mean, you can get the same. Some of the items that Rite Aid has the same items that this place has like. For example, the potato skins are a dollar less at Rite Aid than they are here. That just tells you how expensive everything is here and then have some stuff as expired. And then they try to resell it. The refrigeration sucks so I would not go here

Absolutely love this store, I shop there only. From fresh preservative free bread to amazing/fresh meat. If ever an issue management will do whatever it takes from exchanging to refunding product. Always support our local businesses!! 😀😀

I honestly will say I'm done going to this place cause I went in there to buy some supplies to get me thur the week and I noticed that it's more expensive to go here than go to a Walmart honesty I bought bread and in about 3 day of it sitting in my cabinet and it got mold and when I got some bread from a different place it still feels looks and smells fresh and they are so pricy I can guaranteed to be sell people food higher that market value and let's be honest Im hoping they get shut down or replace with another owner that doesn't have any relation with the owner and knows how to handle everything much better
