I love this place. It is always clean and the staff is always friendly. The shelves are always stocked as well and they are quite knowledgeable. They always have time for a short chitchat. And even though they probably don't want to hear a random fact about every single solitary person's pet every single time a customer comes in, they always smile and excited anyways and somehow that really feels good. I go here for all of my pet supplies for my bearded dragon. Very lovely store.

It's nice to be able to bring your pets in while you shop. Every employee was eager to help and not only point towards what you want but they always took the time to show me where to find it. Cool and very loving people.

We worked with the girl in the reptile section and she was very knowledgeable. We don’t shop at Petco very often due to them being pretty prices except when they have sales or discounts going on. I always check online before we go. But over very nice staff and very helpful.

I’ve been taking my dog to get groomed here for the past 3 years ( since I got him). The Groomer severely cut the bottom of my dogs paw and did not inform me, instead they removed my dog from the facility and drove around to two different vets trying to discretely get it taken care of. The only reason I knew was because 4 hours went by and I hadn’t received a call to pick up my dog. I showed up to petco to see how much longer it would be and my dog was not there. I was clearly upset and worried and the manager had the audacity to say “we’re not trying to steal your dog” and laughed. They never asked my permission to take my dog to the vet or even called me and told me what happened. They finally brought my dog back and still didn’t show me his cut. I made them show it to me before they bandaged him. I took my dog to the vet and he needed to get 3 sutures in his paw and has to wear a cone for the next 14 days. They have cut him on his stomach area before. It wasn’t as severe, but I wasn’t informed about that cut either.

The grooming starting to get better, however the asking to tip is getting ridiculous. Love how its now expected there, before I'm even able to pull my wallet out of my purse, I'm asked if i want to leave a tip on my card, I let the grooming center cashier know i was paying in cash and not using a debit/credit card, I hand her the cash she doesn't give me any cash back, and this is the 2nd time this same cashier does this, it was not the groomer who did our service. I had to ask for my cash back so i could decide the amount of tip I wanted to leave, and the eye roll she gave me was the best part. I'm not against leaving a tip, however I would like to be able to make that decision based on the entire service, which gets ruined by cashiers like her. I wish the check in and check out was all done by the person who is performing the service.

The young woman who helped my daughter and I was so helpful and knowledgeable. She was very patient with my daughter, and answered all of our questions with detail and care. It was a great experience. My daughter loves our two new guinea pigs that she named choco and taco!

The store and personnel were great. It has a very nice selection and I adopted a beautiful kitten. My only hesitation would be the cleanliness upon immediately entering the front door. Sad to say it appeared run down and dirty but that could be remedy. The only reason I even mention it is because that leaves a negative first impression on the business.

I recently stopped at Petco for my usual purchase of Whole Hearted Beef recipe for our dogs. We usually get that or Food For Dogs Beef recipe. I am not the one that goes and picks up the food from Petco because seeing the kitty's in the little boxes always makes me sad, my hubs is the one that does that just so I don't have to be sad all day, lol. But, I just happened to be out in the area for another errand and stopped in. Julia helped me out and it was just a lovely experience all around. She's an "old soul" that one. Even had a little change purse! I usually leave there in tears because I have to pass the "kitty jail" (as I call it) twice. This time I left in tears from laughing. Thank you so much for a great visit to the pet shop Julia. :D

My two Miniature Golden Doodles love to go here. Today they interacted with the ferrets. The ferrets would come to the glass where the dogs were and stand up and try to play with the dogs. We came here for 25 or 30 ft leashes for the backyard. The entire section was empty.I normally buy their dry food here.

Athena and her entire team in their grooming department in Shelby Township are absolutely amazing. Stanley has been going there every 2 weeks for years now. It’s because of them. He is truly loved by Athena and the team. People like that are genuine and hard to come by.

The store itself is average but I would never recommend the grooming salon and I won’t be back. I came to pick up my dog, it took them at least 15 minutes to even address me, no one was out front. I grab my receipt to check myself out with the cashier at the front register, and when the girl finally does come up front she reprimands me for doing so. I’m sorry that I didn’t stand around being ignored long enough for your liking, but I did have things to do with the rest of my afternoon. The least you could’ve done was acknowledge my existence and say that you’d help me shortly. We travel frequently and use Petcos for grooming as it’s easier since he’s in the system. I needed him groomed last minute which is why I made the mistake of bringing him back here. This is the ONLY Petco that has ever had an issue with cutting his nails. They called him aggressive and went so far as to warn that he wouldn’t be allowed back. One thing my dog has never been to a human OR dog is aggressive. This location has put a note on his account that he doesn’t do well with nails, so now when we take him to Petcos they will ask me if he’s okay to do them. Every time I pick up ask how he did with his nails and they are always so confused by the note being on his account because he’s never given them issues, which confirms that this location is the problem, not him. Their ridiculous threat is perfectly fine because I’d never leave him in their care again anyway. They also cut my mom’s puppies’ toe while doing a nail trim and didn’t say anything. The only reason that we know is because when we brought him home we noticed he was bleeding from it. I see why they had so many openings last minute, anyone who cares about their fur baby would be crazy to bring them here!

Convenient location. Very often has everything I need. Petco was out of our dog food one time. The associates are friendly and helpful . Our dogs enjoy going to the store. Lots of good smells and other dogs to make friends with. Our dogs love watching the Ferrets.

Jen Henry is the best groomer! She takes such good care of my pomeranian Lily, even though Lily does not appreciate her spa day! We chose a lion cut and we'r think she's beautiful. The store and the salon are really clean and the staff is friendly and helpful!
